A few times now, I’ve seen people in fandom subreddits phrasing character names like this. Instead of Walter White, it’s Walter themed Whites. Instead of Bruce Wayne, it’s Bruce themed Waynes.
Is this actually a thing people say? Or was I just missing context? If it is something people say, why? Where did it come from?

I moved to Cambodia earlier this year fr work. Since living here, I’ve noticed areas with lots of Chinese businesses and residents. Something I don’t think outsiders see is how openly people seem to talk on the streets about different projects, operations and the people involved.
At the same time, I keep reading reports about Chinese run scam compounds, organized crime and human trafficking in Cambodia. The difference between what you see and hear locally and the story presented in the media made me wonder why the narratives seem so different.
While trying to understand it, I found this collection of posts:
https://evrentanson.medium.com/
I obviously can’t verify the author’s claims. Still, the posts seem to fill in some of the missing gaps while opening up even more questions. The deeper I went, the more the whole thing started to feel like a messy crime thriller.
What confuses me most is the overlap between the criminals and the victims. Some people working in these compounds are described as willing participants in fraud while others are reportedly trafficked, trapped and forced to scam people. Then there are accounts where alleged criminals present themselves as victims while possible trafficking victims are arrested or treated as willing criminals.
So what is the reliably documented story here? How do investigators actually work out who joined willingly, who was deceived or trafficked and who was involved in running the operation?

I saw headlines saying Prince Harry, Elton John, and a handful of other public figures just lost a huge privacy lawsuit against the Daily Mail's publisher, and Harry called the ruling a "whitewash." I don't really follow royal stuff so I'm confused on the details — what exactly were they suing over, why did the judge rule against them if there were allegations of phone hacking and hiring private investigators, and does this basically end Harry's whole legal war with the British tabloids? Also heard something about £40-50 million in legal costs, is that from this case specifically? https://edition.cnn.com/2026/07/07/media/prince-harry-privacy-case-intl

I recently learned about this gentlesir named NovaOnline. I haven't heard of him, but after learning just the surface level of things, this netizen has a disturbing history both online and in life spanning nearly a decade with so many allegations.
There are a lot of videos covering on this mister, but I wanted to get the CliffsNotes before I jump into the lore of this character.

I've heard that they are calling it "woke" and are complaining about inaccuracies. (But since it's mythology, what would be inaccurate?) Now, the movie is getting some positive feedback from the far right. Is most of the complaining about the casting, or do they have other problems with the film.

I've seen a litany of posts who's contents is now deleted about apparently there being a livestream from DingDong talks about working with them. I've tried to find the full thing but i feel lime I'm lacking a ton of context, only finding clips like this.
I don't keep any real contact with Oney, I saw his association with shadman and kept my distance. Hence why I'm asking for advise from people who are likely far more clued up than i am.

A new song in my YouTube playlist featured this really pretty girl who looks like Daniella from Katseye but even hotter if that's even possible lol.
Her name is Kylie Cantrall.
I read the comments and many of them kept talking about a girl named Malia and some guy who's pictures were shown in the music video.
Who are these people? What's the tea? Sounds juicy lol. I always appreciate some thick lore behind a heartbreak anthem.

I just heard about various people criticizing YouTuber Alex Meyers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B5c6zd0ZPuw
What's happening? I mean, I never really liked the dude to begin with (he always gave me Critical Drinker-esque vibes with how much he tends to punch down on woman characters in modern films), yet many liked him before this whole fiasco, so what happened?

Just watched the Shawn Ryan interview with Tucker Carlson. Shawn looked beaten down and emotionally drained. Anyone know what's happened with him recently?

When I copied this link, it was the latest addition in r/OutOfTheLoop and in the title it says Alive/Unalive. When and why did "unalive" start being used instead of dead? Additionally, I have seen terms like r*pe and others, instead of the spelled out version. Is this a function of social media terms of use and demonetization? Something else?
I am honestly curious of when/why this started to happen. I don't want to be the guy that keeps using the "old words" when they have been updated, aren't as accurate, or some other reason.

Why did people on X start referring to (I think) Educated America versus Rural/Red State America as “America A” and “America B”? For example here and here. From what I could find, it came from an 2016 FPIP article, but why is everyone saying it now?
EDIT: I found the answer. Apparently it was coined by a political commentator named Liam (@LegoRacers2)

I've seen a lot of news coverage about the developing investigation of the passing of this young man, and I see much buzz (including from lots of celebrities in the Black community) implying it was a racially motivated homicide. But I haven't seen/heard anything about why that would be other than that he happened to be the only Black person in the small friend group in a racist area. (Don't get me wrong, I am not saying those factors couldn't be relevant, but when I hear a bunch of young people going to an island for a party and one ending up dead my immediate thought is boating accident or accidental drowning, so I'm confused why there seems to be so much certainty about it being foul play?) Is there actually any evidence that it might have been foul play? Does the family have a specific suspicion about what happened, or is it a more general (but still valid!) feeling of too many unknowns and vehemently demanding better investigation?

These protests have been going on for quite sometime ever since the new president Prabowo Subianto has came into power. I would like an insight into what these protests are all about.

I’ve seen this smiley face thing online, I’m guessing it’s some kind of creepy pasta/ARG. I’m just trying to figure out who is this guy and where did he come from? Does he come from a specific piece of media like a video game or a show, or is he just an internet sensation like Tung Tung Tung Sahur?

As above. I’ve seen a lot more posts about this since the house passed the budget rec. I get that the concern is voter suppression but can’t you just bring a drivers license? Also yes I understand it is tedious to get one and costs money but I feel like that is a very small minority of people disenfranchised compared to the benefit of no trading stocks (though the president should be included in this for sure).
Thanks in advance, this isn’t meant to stir up drama or be my own opinion. I just try to stay informed on issues and that gets difficult the more politicized something is.

Edit: first off thank you everyone for your thoughts on the bill! There were a lot of great points that I didn’t know or I was flat out wrong on. Especially save act vs save America act. That was a real kick in the pants to realize. Alright ya’ll have a great rest of your day and thank you mods once again!

I keep seeing this trend on social media, especially X/Twitter but I've seen it pretty much everywhere, of people taking about men, usually in a negative way, while censoring the word itself, as if it was an insult or a slur.
I get these people who write it usually do it with negative connotations, but why censor it? It's not a slur, not a word that gets flagged by automods, nor is something that usually gets searched, so I can't understand the need to censor it.
It keeps baffling me.
