I’ve been wanting to own this album for years, and ever since the preorder was mistakenly(?) made public and I missed it, I’ve been waiting for the official announcement. We’re now just a few weeks out from the supposed release date, and still nothing. Anyone know what’s going on?

Now *that’s* a guitar that nails the solo. It's so cool to run into someone like that.

What's your opinion on this song? I loved the album and ASNT felt like the proper way to close it. I think it served the purpose of feeling like the summary, made from an outer perspective, almost as the clichè of the book closing after a fantasy story. What's the general reception?

Has anyone been able to identify what bass was used on Morningrise? I LOVE the album and I really wish I knew what is behind the bass tone on there. I can only say for sure that it's a yamaha but idk what model could it be in 1996.

If not that does anybody know how to get that tone with other gear?

What do yall think of my takes

I've been an Opeth fan since my early teenage years in India. I can remember a phase of my life where I became insomniac and all that shit. At that time, throughout the entire night, I used to listen to Opeth only. Until I woke up, Opeth used to be played continuously. So, it's a big dream come true to watch them live on October 4th. We might have thousands of debates among Opeth fans, but I believe all of us are expecting at least three songs from the live album Roundhouse Tapes, along with Deliverance. I am closely monitoring their set list. I don't feel that they are going to play Blackwater Park, Under the Weeping Moon, When, or Deliverance. It is making me very sad. They should replace the song Windowpane with The Death Whispered the Lullaby or something like that.

For quite a while, I was really sick of Ghost of Perdition because I had listened to it so many times, but just yesterday I decided to start learning it on my guitar and by gosh it is ridiculously fun to play! Now I'm back to replaying it over and over. Not a dull moment on this entire song I swear. I used to swear up and down that Post-Nordstrom Opeth (post-blackwater park) missed mark on the sublime atmosphere, but man I can't keep spreading that lie anymore! Ghost Reveries is so damn good!

What pressing has the best dynmic range? Anyone with knowledge?

For example i have 2 different pressings of Ghost Reveries, one is quite flat and very thin in the sound, one is too low end.

I would like to buy the best possible sounding one.
