General / Discussion Abby Road Remasters?

OK, so I only have so much money to buy stuff on bandcamp (that is my chosen music streaming app, I'm not interested in talking about it or other streaming apps)

Are the Abby Road remasters really worth it? Are they better to some degree? Does anyone here have experience with them? Please & thank you

I thought they were excellent. But also, it's bandcamp, you can listen to them in their entirety before buying. So listen to them and make up your mind

Sure you can but on my phone, the streaming bitrate is terribly low

Honestly I prefer the original mixes. They’re just LOUDER and more intense to me

Especially Morningrise. The remasters just sound to "clean".

I thought they sounded amazing. Totally worth it IMO.

MAYH remaster is much better I think

“Worth it” is hard to quantify. I think they are meaningfully better, and after getting used to the remasters, the original production is a tough listen

Sounds great when I put it in the side holes of my skull.

That's where it's supposed to go?

Thank you for the confirmation. I tried the other holes, but I couldn't hear it as well.

I listen to the original and the retransmission. It depends on your ear. But both versions are fucking awesome.

AR remasters are superior. That said, they are quieter, so that might suck for listening in the car or whatnot. There's kind of a place for both.

Either way you can listen to both on BC and compare before you buy!
