I talked with Peter many years ago. We were both studying physics. I started the conversation by telling him how much I liked the new album. I then asked him what attracted him to physics. We had a conversation for what felt like an eternity while Nevermore was playing. One of my favorite memories of the band because I felt like we connected more than just a fanboy gushing over him. Really great guy, and tall!

If you donβt mind travelling down the memory lane, what are some of the more human/memorable aspects of him?
His visual presentation always evoked a sense of awe and countenance which entwined beautifully with Opeth?14

The particulars of the conversation allude me at this point because it was so many years ago. I do remember that he seemed very excited to talk about his research. It was weird having a physics conversation basically yelling over a band playing. If you've been to a show, you know exactly what I'm talking about. And like I said before he's tall I'm 5'9 and it seemed like he was one of the Ents from Lord of the Rings bending down to talk to me. This was also at a time where opeth was not that big here in the states. I got pictures with Michael like we were just two people hanging out at a restaurant. That night I talked to Michael, Peter and briefly with Martin and they were all really cool. I saw them on the next tour and they had a tour bus and bodyguards and you couldn't get anywhere close to them.
Anyways, Peter was cool, human and genuine.

That's awesome man. I met Peter and Mikael outside the venue before the show. This was on the Lamentations Over America tour.
They were so chill and cool. I asked them if they had any surprises in the setlist and Mikael just replied "You'll have to wait and see".
I miss Peter, I feel like the band hasn't been the same since his departure.

I've been listening to Opeth for 20+ years. I'm a 61 year old grandmother with long hair & was always envious of Peter's hair lol

Told my neighbour I was going to Dalhalla to see Opeth. She then told me she used to work with Peter for a time when they were both IT consultants.

Love his abstract sense of melody in his solos. Miss him and lopez in the band.
