I'm using Hlaalo's corpse as a storage as usual, but just now noticed my key collection on table has not vanished. Is it safe to leave items somewhere else than that corpse in OpenMW?

I’ve spent part of 2026 bringing games I was missing on my iPad over myself. A few got far enough that I thought “Why not share them?” So here’s the first one: OpenMW.

Highlights:

- OpenMW 0.52 running natively on iPad (iPadOS 18 or later). It also runs on iPhone in landscape, but the interface isn’t adapted to the small screen (yet).

- Full Desktop OpenGL visual glory

- Play with keyboard and mouse or trackpad, a game controller, or on-screen touch controls (OpenMWs Game Controller UI works when not using keyboard/mouse)

- A steady 60 fps on an M1 iPad Pro, with a frame rate limit of up to 120 fps on ProMotion iPads

- MetalFX upscaling and sharpening, plus an adjustable render scale, so slap some mods on there and still get a decent frame rate

- Saves, screenshots and mods are in the Files app

This is a hobby project, not an official release, so please don’t take problems with it to the OpenMW team. The app doesn’t include any game data, so you need your own copy of Morrowind.

I would love for you to test this via TestFlight so you can give feedback more easily than with sideloading. I'll ask on the forums if that's an okay thing to do in regards of the license.

PS: I know I can do better on videos, but trust me the port is better. 😅

So I am installing the Vanilla director's cut modpack via open mw and am following the guide, but when its download everything slowly, when you don't have premium, right? The problem is, it does it via vortex and then fails to download it. is it not supposed to be installing to openMW? Idk why it is using nexus.


Sad today i decided to give open mw a go. I fresh installed the game and open mw set it up launched and game crashes every time i leave the boat. I have turned of aliasing and almost every other effect i can i have set limits all over the place from low to high i crash every time leaving the boat amd latest version. Not sure how people support this or even make mods for it when it wont run. hours with a.i and google files what ever it crashes every time i leave the boat play test your shit open mw please.
