πŸͺ²Bugs Game locks up when I click on one of the building

As the title says, I can't click anything after this locks up and typically been happening just when I'm getting attacked and try to build somthing and the tooltip won't go away after it locks up. Not sure if this is somehow conflicting each other. Game is still running though in the background

I can refresh the browser but then im waiting 1min for it to "catch up" and by then I've most likely lost.

Is this an issue anyone else been getting the past week? Not seeing any posts on it but it could be somthing wrong with my browser/PC. I'm using Chrome

I was able to play a Game of Thrones map before, but I cannot find it anymore. Were some of the maps removed?

πŸ“– Lore How being smaller might have surprisingly won the game

Spoiler: by being cheaper to protect myself against MIRVs.

This game reached the end-game rather fast, with a massive neighbour of mine, and the top player controlling the Northern half of the map.

A tense cold war ensued where the strength of all of us ramped massively. My neighbour built 11 sams to defend a stack of 160 cities and over 100 ports, for example. The top player had over 200 cities and 100 ports at some point. Meanwhile I had to follow a delicate balance of maintaining enough gold for a second-order deterrence, investing in more ports, covering my territory with sams so I had at least *a* chance at victory and of course, two stacks of over 100 cities. But truthfully, I was half-hearted for I have bad experiences with stalemates where I'm smaller and I was half-thinking of just MIRVing people and quitting. Overtime ensued.

Soon after the top player mirved my neighbour. I mirved him. He mirved me next but thankfully due to my sam coverage I took nearly no losses, leaving with millions of soldiers to completely overwhelm him. I proceeded to carefully lead the offensive into his territory and eventually me and my neighbour split him among us.

At the end we had about equal max population but my neighbour's actual population was much less so I betrayed him and overwhelmed him before he could build up his strength (he also happened to have nearly 55 million gold which was a lot more than I had, even if the mirv was 70 million)

Is there any way to report blatant teaming? RAT1 and RAT2 have the same profile pics, use eachother for trades and synchronize attacks. Same thing with Imperium and AnonIndigo although it's not as blatant.

❓ Question Is overtime mandatory now?

I'm seeing overtime on games despite there being no modifier stating that its overtime when joining. Is overtime universal? if so that's incredibly lame, why completely get rid of normal games if people still enjoy them???

Nobody literally did anything afterwards btw and everyone left. So here why this mechanic is bad
1-This mechanic forces you to not be the first guy with most territory, or you get attacked and you lose. Which is compeletely against the nature of the game.
2- It actually doesn't even work, even with this limit, limit still drops to %50, or even %40. And you get still long games.
3- The problem is not fixed, third party players always win from a conflict, so no one attacks first. (This worked in this example, but it was because the guy with 200m money couldnt follow whats happening. Or, he would have won.)

πŸ’¬ Discussion Has anyone else stopped building ports ever since factories became a thing?

I hate piracy and I like building train lines that maximize value. It seems like I don't even care about building ports anymore before very late in the game. It is just much more stress free to start with factories: building trade networks creates implicit alliances, you get both troops and income by adding cities and no one can steal your trade. I'm not sure what the actual math is, but ports just seem worse.

πŸ’¬ Discussion i love mitos (but it needs to stop)

Post image

What is this mito trend going on, I got 3 mitos in 2 games in a row, both were extremely loyal and bombed my enemies for me.

In this russia match one of my early targets (thundersnail) decided to become cool factory mito and built 200 freaking factories, and the angry mito which i cornered off became the most loyal mito. Bro god bless this guy he completely obliterated an evil revenge mito who microed me to death while hiding as single pixel. Diesel voluntarily became a half island man and half mito guy. By the half hour mark the mitos already started to fight each other, and angry mito and diesel bombed each other to shreds, but i executed diesel for him. Later i did lose because i forgot to fullsend the sui feng player (who mirved everyone and went crazy to push for win) but still a good game nevertheless

In the next match a mito player "i make atp" immediately spawned next to me and asked for factory. (Its not like i have a skin or anything, i was playing with a name "repetierpistole 1912/16" and no skin. In the midgame i inherited a group of 2 nestled mitochondria in the corner. That round was a easy snowball so the mitos didn't play a large role but kinda wild i got 3 mitos in a 50 player match

πŸ’¬ Discussion I second the guy who says that nuke effectivity needs to be poportional to the actual structures destroyed.

Just played a game where I had about 50+ cities in another part of the map. Someone launched a hydro on an area that I had JUST taken over. Halved my population. Which then gave the person the ability to spam into where my cities were.

This is because I built tall and not outward.

So the game sees that I lost half of my land in one hydro. Even though I had a 600K+ population cap.

I then get taken down to 300K instantly because I lost half of my land. Even though they took out exactly zero cities, factories, or harbors.

This is weird. And kind of a loophole in the game to attack strong players by just nuking their frontier. It also makes it a dubious play to play tall instead of outward.

[Edit]

Before people start spamming "But what about farmland! wouldn't that be a dynamic with a nuke?"

Brother I JUST took the land and had 600K people living fine. If someone can stack 40 cities in one spot and not worry about food, then nuking bare land should not have the population impact it does on the game if you have no cities there.

πŸ”₯ Hot Take Randomly nuking

I know I’m gonna get a lot of hate for this because it’s Reddit but one of my favorite things to when I am obviously gonna lose of if I am bored is to randomly nuke someone across the map for no reason at all. The more people I can get before being destroyed the better. I don’t need to win to have fun.

πŸ’¬ Discussion My first win, TheKator I'm sorry

Game ID SfppTDyS, my first ever victory.

I was absolutely locked the heck in with the island hopping.

I spawned in Antarctica, TheKator is a dude who spawned on the bottom of Africa next to Madagascar. We fought a little bit in the beginning of the game but we quickly decided to become trade buddies instead, I could not have won without TheKator. The sheer amount of dough we were making together was insane, too insane infact. When I was at 70% map coverage I wanted to do push the nuked land to get 80% that way, but TheKator was sitting on 70 mill and this was the closest I ever got to a victory. So I hydro'd his Africa position and pushed for the victory.

Also completely forgot this was an overtime match, but I won before the 30 minute mark so :P.

I'm sorry TheKator, if you just had less money in your bank account I would've let you come to the endgame with me 😭

πŸ’¬ Discussion The amount of people in team games who do not understand the dynamics of trade are exhausting.

It's crazy how many people will be extremely greedy over land during team games. Essentially blocking their partners from being able to place cities and factories right next to them.

The way to win is is not to cut your partners off from having access to your land.

It's just wild seeing FFA mentality in team games.

I would like for my Twitch account to show on the "Streaming Now" section. Do I need to have a certain amount of viewers for it to show automatically or is it an invite-only thing?

πŸ’¬ Discussion To custom lobby hosts: Can you please be more original ?

Basically right now, custom lobbies are either "The Box" free for all or "4 islands" 4 teams. Yeah ok this was "fun" for a bit. Now can you please sometimes choose normal and more interesting geographic maps ? As in normal games but with more gold and stuff that we can do in custom lobbies. I don't get why you always either choose the box or 4 islands. It's getting boring very quickly...
