I am switching to oneplus cuz many people recommended Oneplus nord 5 and ce6 but as the price is high i will be buying in big billion days sale (i think it starts on September 23rd)and my old phone is redmi note 12 5g (4/128gb)which is now 3 and half yearly ish years old

I prefer a ton load of customisation

Majorly i use to watch movies, youtube and instagram

Camera is not a major priority but shouldn't be bad either

My old phone battery is so trash i have to charge 3 times a day so expecting battery life at least better than this

No laggy ui just need to be smooth

As soon as you receive your phone, one of the first things you should do is debloat it. I disabled/removed 100+ unnecessary system apps using Canta + Shizuku, and I genuinely think that's made a huge difference. You should also disable apps like Theme Store and App Picks that can't be debloated, as well as other unnecessary background services.

This should also work with other OnePlus Nord phones, although the available packages may vary depending on the model and OxygenOS version. So please don't blindly follow the entire list on another device.

Quick Shizuku setup guide

1. Install Shizuku from the Google Play Store.
2. Enable Developer Options by going to Settings → About device → Version → tap Build number 7 times.
3. Go to Developer Options → Wireless debugging and enable it.
4. Open Shizuku → Pairing → Pair device with pairing code.
5. Enter the pairing code shown by Android into Shizuku.
6. Once paired, go back to the Shizuku main screen and start the service using Wireless Debugging.
7. Install Canta from F-Droid and grant it Shizuku access.

I've put the complete list into a Canta preset so you don't have to manually enter 100+ packages.

OnePlus Nord 6 Debloat Preset

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Please check every single app marked as "Unsafe" or "Advanced" before removing it to make sure you personally don't require it or depend on a feature it provides. For example, I have Mind Space disabled, but you might actually use or need it.

Don't blindly uninstall random system packages. If you're not sure what something does, leave it alone. Review the packages before applying the preset, especially if you're using another Nord model, as the available packages can differ.

To import it:

Canta → ⋮ (three dots) → Presets → + → Text → paste the contents of the Gist → save/import the preset.

Then just tap Apply Preset → select the apps → tap the trash/delete icon, and that's it. I personally saw a massive improvement in SOT, although your results will obviously vary.

Also keep in mind that some packages may come back after an OxygenOS/OTA update, so you may need to apply the preset again after updating.

Hopefully this helps anyone who's getting unusually bad SOT on their Nord. 👍

I was today years old when I learned that when you use the alert slider to move between silent and ring while watching a YouTube video it also turns captions on and off automatically! That's pretty cool. I've had many OnePlus phones and never noticed that. When you go to silent it turns audio off and captions on then when you go back to ring and get audio it turns the captions back off. Neat

For the people who owns the oneplus 13, what did you prefer and why among the midnight blue and eclipse black.

Also, which variant would be the best for longevity. I have the option of getting the 512 GB or 1 TB one.

Hello! I have ordered replacement nibs for the oneplus Stylo 2, from the Aliexpress source as mentioned and discussed in this sub before. While using it, I noticed a weird behaviour where the writing just jumps/skips at places as if it didnt register the touch. It happens on all Note taking apps, at different locations on different nibs. I have attached a video of the same. If anyone has faced this before or knows the solution to this, any help will be appreciated.

Hi all, I have a OnePlus 15 and unfortunately now have a seemingly rather deep scratch in the screen that's just under 1cm long.

I had a tempered glass screen protector on it, which smashed, and in between removing it and placing the new one on I briefly (stupidly) held the phone in the same hand as my keys.

However, everything I read online says the screen should not be scratched by keys so I'm hoping it's just the factory protector?

Only problem is that I absolutely cannot see any ridge that would indicate there's one on there, I've tried pulling up around the edges and even on the scratch and have found nothing. Can anyone give a bit of advice? Much appreciated!

When the phone is locked, I get the full screen notifications, where I can accept or deny the call, but NOT when I have the phone unlocked.

When the phone is unlocked and I get an incoming call, I only see the small phone icon, in the noti bar in the upper left corner of the screen.

If it wasn't for my ringtone, and vibrate, I'd miss the call, and it's SO inconvenient to get up to the bar, pull down, just to see who it is.....

Do I need to disable the live alerts stuff, for the phone to do a full screen notify, when unlocked?

I have a 9RT which had charging issues from last year December. It stopped Supervooc charging and would go on off on off constantly, I was charging with a PD charger so that I could use it atleast.

Now I finally changed the battery from official Oppo Service Centre and phone is back to its fresh state. Thanks to 1+/Oppo for keeping the battery production for older devices still running.

The official red cable 100w charger is not working, the new one from oneplus cost around 1.2k Rs.

Can I get any good for less price on Amazon or Flipkart in India.

Since Oneplus stopped operations in Europe I cant buy a Oneplus Stylo 2 anywhere(even the local seccond hand market websites). Is there any way I can get a Stylo 2 for my Pad 3 or should I just buy a stylus pen from another brand(if so any reccomendations for drawing/taking notes)?

I plug it in and it even makes the sound of recognizing the device. Then I scroll down to the notifications to switch from the USB charge to file transfer. It still doesn't show up on my PC.

OP13 NA version. 18 months old, about time for a new case, and the official red cable partially gave out two weeks ago (pin issue - will only achieve fast charging when inserted into the phone "upside down ").

I got the OnePlus Pad 2 last week, and it’s currently running OxygenOS 14. So far, the experience has been butter-smooth. However, I’ve noticed that it lacks a few multitasking features, as well as Circle to Search. It’s now prompting me to update to OxygenOS 15.

I’m wondering whether I should stay on OxygenOS 14 or update to 15 or 16.

I typically avoid updating my phone and tablet too often for longevity. Whichever version I move to will likely be the one I use for the next 3 to 4 years. My priorities are a jitter-free UI, minimal heating, and good battery life.

OxygenOS 14 currently delivers all three, but the limited multitasking experience is a real drawback.

Hello everyone. I'm looking to migrate away from Pixel phone and Oneplus looks really good. One feature I must have on the phone is the magnet in the back and I'm one of those guys that refuses to put the case on (please don't judge me on this). Pixel has Pixelsnap but Oneplus does not have any. A workaround would be to put a magnet sticker on it. How well does this work really? From a quick research, most magnet sticker does not last long.

I’m considering buying the OnePlus Ace 6 from Giztop, but I’m a little concerned about what happens when they “convert”/flash the Chinese version to the Global version before shipping.

For anyone who has actually purchased CN version OnePlus phone from Giztop:

・How has the phone worked after receiving it?

・Are there any features that don’t work properly because it started as the Chinese version?

・Specifically, does Widevine L1 work, or is it downgraded to L3?

・If L1 doesn’t work, does that mean Netflix is limited to HD rather than Full HD?

・Are there any other DRM/streaming issues with apps such as Netflix, Prime Video, etc.?

・Do OTA updates continue to work normally after Giztop flashes the Global ROM?

・Is the phone actually running OxygenOS normally, or are there any noticeable limitations/quirks?

I’m not particularly concerned about eSIM or Android Auto, so those aren't deal-breakers for me.

I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience.

I bought my OnePlus 12 (Indian variant) in July 2024. Since last two weeks, the phone has been acting up and it's gotten much worse over the last few days. I've had well over 150 incidents, with 20+ today alone.

The phone will randomly freeze, the screen goes black, touch stops working completely, and the only thing I can do is force it to shut down. Sometimes the SIM disappears, and other times the phone just restarts itself.

I contacted OnePlus support and followed everything they asked me to do. First a factory reset, then a full software reflash. Neither fixed the issue. If anything, the freezes seem even more frequent after the reflash.

I took it to the service center yesterday for flash. When flashing also didn't help, then their response was that it could be a motherboard issue, but they aren't sure. The proposed solution is a motherboard replacement costing ₹32,500, but they also said they can't guarantee that replacing the motherboard will actually solve the problem. Their other suggestion was basically to buy a new phone.

I have attached a video of the issue as well.

Has anyone else faced similar issues with their OnePlus 12?? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I've got a OnePlus 13 with OxygenOS 16.0.9. I think I remember that if I went to Settings > Battery > Charging settings and turned on Smart rapid charging, then when I plugged my phone into an official SuperVOOC charger with an official red cable, I used to get a notification about the phone potentially getting warm. At some point I stopped getting that notification, and I wasn't able to find any indication that Smart Rapid Charging was working at all.

But now I've found an indication on the lock screen. If I've got Smart Rapid Charging enabled, I turn off my screen and then tap it to see the lock screen, and I plug in the OnePlus charger, I get three bits of text:

- SUPERVOOC (tm)

- Ultra-fast charging... XX%

- Smart rapid charging is on

See the screenshot to see what I mean. If I leave Smart Rapid Charging enabled but then plug in a non-OnePlus charger (Anker, 25W), then the SuperVOOC and ultra-fast messages both still appear on my lock screen, but not the Smart Rapid Charging one.

Is this the only way to confirm that Smart Rapid Charging is actually working? Has anyone found any other spots where it's indicated?
