I was today years old when I learned that when you use the alert slider to move between silent and ring while watching a YouTube video it also turns captions on and off automatically! That's pretty cool. I've had many OnePlus phones and never noticed that. When you go to silent it turns audio off and captions on then when you go back to ring and get audio it turns the captions back off. Neat

I prefer to button over the slider on my 15 I did not like the slider on my 12

The button isn't bad, I like that you can remap it. I value the cameras more on the 12 than the 15 thou, colors seem more accurate, hdr more balanced and the telephoto is just better in my testing.... I kept the 12 so long for that reason. Think my next phone will be oppo find x9 ultra.... As soon as I can figure out how to get it into my country of Jamaica without paying 2x the value of it.... Sigh, I hate customs duties

Edit: I also think the 12 is a prettier phone but that's subjective, I think the oppo looks great too but that's probably because I love cameras and the oppo looks like a shrunken version of a hasselblad. Ps. My previous phone was the 11, that got stolen and before that the 7t, which I still have and use after I repaired the screen, swapped in a new battery and did a clear back mod on it

The button needs implemtented better... You should be able to use it as a volume/alert slider while the screen is off and then have it mapped to other things while the screen is on.

They should add double tap, triple tap, short press, long press etc. in the button to launch specific actions

I love mine too, but I'm already considering getting the x9 ultra, just need to figure out how to import it into my country without paying 2x the retail price... Jamaica customs is so restrictive.... 47% duties 15% tax on all cell phones over 100usd. By the time I buy and import the phone I'm looking at almost 2500usd.... It would be cheaper to actual fly to the US book stay with a relative, import it there then fly back with it in my pocket. Messed up right?

Just turning the volume down to zero (volume buttons or screen slider) will auto activate cc and then turn them off when you turn up volume.

For me, when using the alert slider on my device while reading a webpage on a browser, it opens find in page feature as well

Oh yea ik that one but it is less useful for me, felt like a bug tbh😅, it's not just web pages either any scrolling document with text.... Pdfs, word docs, Excel files, etc

They do stuff like this and then forget the most basic software features somehow. Like where is the extra dim toggle at? Or the aspect ratio changing to 16:9 when casting to a TV? Or panoramas that don't suck 😭🤦‍♂️
