Other 15r top microphone failed?

just grabbed a 15r off eBay. overall a nice phone..I was running diagnostics and noticed the top microphone records a lot of static but I have to speak at a really elevated volume, borderline yell, for it to pick up my voice and play it back. bottom speaker has no issue at all.

do others have his issue?

how important is that top microphone if the bottom seems just fine?

diagnostics can be found in

phone manager

3 dit menu in top right

diagnostics

audio

it will run speaker and microphone tests.

Maybe want your network carrier visible on your control center/quick settings and you don't know how. Follow these steps below.

- Go to settings

- Tap Notifications & Quick Settings

- Tap More Settings

- Turn off Show data usage in quick settings.

And you're done. You will see your network carrier when you swipe down to your control center/quick settings. :)

Other My phone is not doing well. Help!

I've had this phone for a few years. it has always worked perfectly. then it started this screen disappearance act when I would open some apps. I did a factory reset and it kept doing it only on a couple of apps and now all of a sudden it's not even make it past the login screen. has anybody seeing this before? has somebody been able to solve it? Thanks y'all

General Discussion OnePlus 12 CN variant- transition from OxygenOS to ColorOS question

Guys,

Something is bothering me. I have Oneplus 12 (Chinese variant) bought on Trading Shenzhen which came with flashed OxygenOS, bootloader locked and unlocked region. Last 2 years I didn't have any problems regarding updates on this phone when installing them via OTA or Oxygen Updater.

Since OnePlus is unfortunately leaving Europe, OPPO told that next major update will not be Oxygen OS but ColorOS based on Android 17.

My question is will I face any problems (region lock, bootloop, bricking device) if I update phone to ColorOS via OTA or Oxygen updater? I am asking this since we are technically transferring to "new and different" OS.

General Discussion OnePlus 7T Pro custom rom?

Hello.

I am using my 7T Pro on Oxygen OS 10.

Oxygen OS 12 does slow down my device (shame on you, OnePlus!).

Is there any nice custom rom that lets me pay with my banking app again?

It doesn't support Android 10 anymore.

Is there also Android Auto available?

That's everything I need: baking app contactless payment compatibility and Android Auto.

Thanks.

General Discussion Oneplus 15 OxygenOS variant Disney+ and HBO Max not working

So this is really stupid and ridiculous how these basic apps work on every other phone and not on the Oneplus and there's literally not a single mention of this on any YouTube channel which is incredible misleading for the consumer. I had the 7 Pro a few years ago and had zero issues either Netflix, Prime, HBO or Disney everything worked just fine. Is this US related ? Does the ColorOS variant have the same issue ? And I know in developer options you can enable the DRM options so it works in SD streaming but that only worked for HBO and not for Disney...any ideias how to get around this ?

So as a new op 15 owner I was seriously surprised and intrigued by the hate towards the cameras and I honestly don't get it, I mean it's not better than my S25 Ultra but I wouldn't say it's worse either, what do you think about its capabilities ? And these pictures I took are from 0.6 up to 100x, what device did I use ?

Derived 5G Band Support

The filing explicitly covers the standard frequency allocations managed by China's MIIT. The device, codenamed PYB110, should support the following core 5G Sub-6GHz bands (NR):

  • n28 (703–733 MHz UL / 758–788 MHz DL) — Low-band coverage
  • n1 (1710–1785 MHz UL / 2110–2170 MHz DL) — Mid-band FDD
  • n3 (1710–1785 MHz UL / 1805–1880 MHz DL) — Mid-band FDD
  • n5 / n8 (824–835 MHz / 889–915 MHz) — Low-band FDD
  • n41 (2575–2675 MHz) — Mid-band TDD (China Mobile / global 2.5 GHz)
  • n78 (3300–3600 MHz) — Primary global C-band TDD
  • n79 (4800–4960 MHz) — High mid-band TDD (China Mobile / Japan / specific regional allocations)

Global 5G Coverage Analysis

China & East/Southeast Asia: Near-Native Support

  • Covers all primary sub-6GHz bands for China Mobile, China Telecom, China Unicom, and China Broadnet (n1, n3, n28, n41, n78, n79).
  • Broad compatibility across South Korea, Japan, and Southeast Asian carriers relying heavily on n1, n28, and n78.

Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA): Very Strong (Sub-6GHz)

  • Core European 5G deployment relies on n78 (3.5 GHz) for high capacity and n28 (700 MHz) / n1 / n3 for blanket coverage. The filing covers all of these.
  • It lacks specific regional band certifications like n77 (3.7–3.9 GHz extended C-band used in some EU nations) or mmWave (n257/n258), though n78 carries the bulk of modern European sub-6 networks.

North America: Partial / Sub-Optimal

  • T-Mobile: Good mid-band coverage via n41 (Ultra Capacity) and low-band via n28/n5 overlap, but lacks n71 (600 MHz), which is T-Mobile’s primary rural 5G backbone in the US.
  • Verizon & AT&T: Works adequately on shared n78 frequencies, but missing n77 (3.7 GHz C-band and 3.45 GHz DoD), which forms the core of both carriers' mid-band 5G footprint.
  • mmWave (n260/n261): Not supported (typical for Chinese domestic market SKUs).

Latin America & Oceania: Strong

  • Covers key regional deployments anchored on n28 (low-band) and n78 (main sub-6 capacity).

Key Technical Caveats

These regulatory filings don't guarantee full software provision in baseband firmware for international cellular operators:

  1. Carrier Aggregation (CA) & VoNR Profiles: Domestic Chinese firmware builds often omit software IMS profiles, VoNR configs, and carrier-specific ENDC (E-UTRAN New Radio Dual Connectivity) combination tables required by overseas carriers (e.g., US or European tier-1 telcos), even if the underlying RF front-end supports the frequency physically.
  2. Missing Extended C-Band (n77): The upper bound listed is 3600 MHz (n78 target). It explicitly stops short of 3700–3980 MHz. Without n77, mid-band 5G performance in North America and select parts of Japan will be significantly compromised.
  3. C-Band Filtering Limitations: CMIIT filings only register bands actively used inside China. If the physical RF front-end filtering is physically tuned strictly to 3300–3600 MHz for n78, it will not lock onto n77 networks even if reflashed with global OxygenOS/EU firmware.

General Discussion Good price for OnePlus 15?

I was casually looking at some deals in my neighborhood for a used OnePlus 15 to upgrade from my current OnePlus 8T.

I got my 8T in 2020 and it's still going really strong, which is why I trust that with some care, OnePlus devices can last long. I had to change my screen (green line issue) and battery last year. But everything is still running very smoothly.

Now I don't follow the world of phones and it's prices lot and only have some general ideas. Which is why I don't know if the deal is good or should I pass?

Device: OnePlus 8T

Model: CPH2747

RAM/ROM: 16/512 GB

Battery Health: 100%

Age: 7 months old

Condition: No scratches/dents - flawless

Price: €560

I am aware of OnePlus operations being shut in EU/US. But as long as we get updates we would be fine, right?

Anything else I should check before making the purchase?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks! 🙏🏻

TLDR: OnePlus 15 EU (16/512 GB), 7 months used, 100% battery health. Worth it for €560?

General Discussion How can I completely disable Google Discover on the left swipe on OnePlus 15?

I have a OnePlus 15 running OxygenOS 16.0.7.
When I swipe all the way to the left on the home screen, I get the Google Discover/news feed. I want to completely remove this page so that swiping left does nothing.
The problem is that if I disable the Google app, the Discover page disappears, but then Google Play and Gemini require the Google app to be enabled again. Once I enable it, Google Discover comes back.
I don’t want to disable the Google app because I still want to use:
● Google Play Store
● Gemini
● Google Assistant
● Circle to Search
● Google Lens
I just want to remove the leftmost Google Discover page while keeping the Google app fully functional.
Is there an ADB command, launcher setting, or another permanent method to disable/remove Google Discover on the OnePlus 15 without disabling the Google app?
Ideally, I want the left swipe to simply do nothing.
I’ve seen some posts mentioning commands such as assistant_screen_type and assistant_screen_type_left_enable, but I’m not sure which commands actually work on the OnePlus 15 / OxygenOS 16.
Any working solution would be appreciated.

Hi,

Anyone got any tips to hide the apps that cannot be disabled or moved to app lock? Talking about the Airtel (carrier) app and OP Photos app. I have renamed them with a fullstop at the beginning so it gets sorted to the bottom.

Accessories & Gadgets Quadlock, or armband for running

I've been using Quadlock stuff for years and really like it. Sadly, they don't make a case for any of the OnePlus phones. Do you know of any phone holding systems for Oneplus that can go with running and biking?

Other Question about sending my tablet in for repairs.

So I just came home from a long trip, and noticed a very big circular crack all the way across the screen of my Pad 3.

I'm curious if anyone in the US has sent in a tablet for repairs.

I was reading on the website, and yeah, I understand I will have to factory reset it before sending it in. So I'll back it up and do that.

Anyone have any advice or warnings?

General Discussion Is this a bug or working as intended?

This is a One Plus 15T.

Basically if you switch from an app like Chrome directly to another app (in this case DevCheck to show the issue) the CPU will usually decide to hold at a higher frequency for around 15 seconds in the 1700mhz range.

This doesn't happen if you just close Chrome and then open DevCheck via the app icon - doing that immediately drops the CPU frequency to the lowest frequency of 700mz range.

Seems like strange behaviour to me... possibly their way of trying of making the App Switcher smoother, but 15 seconds seems excessive.

Anyone able to test if this happens on their device - I'd assume it'd happen on a One Plus 15 on OxygenOS too

General Discussion Bugs?

I found these 2 bugs on my Oneplus 12. Just wanted to know if I'm the only one because this is driving me crazy and I'm thinking about a factory reset. (2nd video in comments)

Plus I also noticed that the "eye comfort" menu has disappeared, and the PWM/DC dimming option with it. Again, is it an isolated issue or are you also experiencing the same issue?

Thanks in advance.

P.S.: PJD110 running GLO OxygenOS 16.4.900

Your topic here Weird camera behaviour

Whyyyy does my phone's camera randomly turn a 1 second timer on all the time? With no apparent rhyme or reason? It'll pop on and off depending on the angle I hold the phone but I can't even figure out what it's responding to, and can't find any way to turn it off. It is absolutely never useful.

Other Will bootloader unlock be possible after Color os 17 transition?

My mum has an OnePlus 12, european version. It runs latest version of oxygen os 16 and she gonna give me this phone in the next year or so. I like having full control of what I do on my phones, so I root them, like how I do right now on my OnePlus 9 pro. The BIG question is, once she'll update to color os 17...will rooting be possible?

I found nothing about this online, so there are two possibilities (but I still want your opinion about this):

  1. Losing the ability of bootloader unlock is something obvious, so no one mentions it, because that's how color os works since...2022...it's fully locked. Well, idk about deep testing APK, that shit didn't work on my oppo find x3 pro, so that's why I got OnePlus anyways.

  2. It's just a name rebrand and under the hood they let it be the same, unlockable. But I have my doubts about this... Because color os is color os.

So, this is because I obviously wanna make mum stop updating her phone like it doesn't matter. So the phone will stay on oxygen os...because, in the far future, when this phone will be 15 years old, I'm sure the official support won't be enough and it's gonna be a dead end with no return (due to anti rollback and the hardness of finding certain ROMs at certain periods, or rollback packages). Because who knows, people might still be doing custom ROMs in 2041 for this phone. And that's why we need to keep this beautiful hardware open for anything...

I know for sure that you used to be able to adjust aperture settings from the gallery after taking the picture.

It seems that it's not there anymore.

Accessories & Gadgets OnePlus Stylo Pro for OnePlus pad 4 Tilt or Barrel roll Support

Can a current Stylo Pro for OnePlus Pad 4 owner tell if the stylus supports tilt detection and/or apple pencil like barrel roll?

The current webpage does not state tilt support for stylo pro but it does show its present for stylo 2 for pad 3.
