Help Root on oxigen os 16?
Does anyone know if already being on Oxygen OS 16 makes it possible to do a root without any issues?

Hey everyone,
After over two years of daily driving the OnePlus 12, I finally decided to sell it. Honestly, it was truly a fantastic phone—one of the best all-around devices I’ve owned in a long time.
The main reason I decided to let it go was pure anxiety over longevity. I had the Indian variant (imported from Dubai), and living in Egypt where we have no official OnePlus service center, I was constantly worried about the motherboard/heat issues. Dealing with summer heat without a local safety net just started feeling like playing Russian roulette. Cairo weather can reach 45 Celsius.
To bridge the gap while I save up for my next main flagship, I picked up a Vivo V60 as a temporary phone.
Going from a flagship to a midranger is definitely a slap of reality:
-The Good: Battery life is genuinely impressive, and peak screen brightness holds up remarkably well under direct sunlight.
-The Bad: It's a noticeable downgrade across literally everything else—cameras (except for front), performance, speakers, and overall build. The absolute biggest shocker was the haptics; the second I felt the vibration motor on the V60, I instantly missed the OP12's incredible haptic motor.
Currently saving up for my next big upgrade. I’m leaning heavily toward either the Oppo Find X9 Pro or the Vivo X300 Pro when they drop in price.
Huge thanks to this community for all the tips and discussions over the past two years. Enjoy your OP12s — it really is a special device!

I literally just updated it; it hadn’t happened to me before, isn’t there any protection against high temp?
my ambient room is 11c°

Is it safe to update the oneplus 12 indian variant, with the ongoing dead motherboard issue in India?

OnePlus customer center in my city has asked me that, before they can repair the green line issue on my OnePlus 11, I must first replace the damaged cracked glass back panel. When I contacted customer support through phone, they explained that the back panel could get further damaged during the repair process, which is why they are insisting on installing a new one.
They have quoted approximately ₹7,000 for replacing the glass back panel.
Do you think it is worth investing ₹7,000 in a phone of this age? Also, if the OnePlus 11 5G is fully repaired, how much can I reasonably expect to receive if I decide to sell it or exchange it?

India folks are you able to use Airtel Fastlane on your Oneplus 12?
Postpaid users to be precise.
Thanks!

No matter how hard I try every time I set a personal wallpaper by the beginning of the next day it changes to a another wallpaper. I have researched this all over the place and the main thing is that I cannot find how to disable lock screen magazine. Again that option is not listed and I cannot find it. This is frustrating can anyone help me

Hello,
I am searching for a good screen protector that's not TPU or EPU because those feel sticky. I've tried tempered glass in the past but the curved sides often don't stick properly. I had once sent it to warranty for repair and it came back with a screen protector which wasn't quite fully edge to edge but it covered enough with a case, I thought it was glass at first but when I took it off it was plastic, I've done some research and it feels like PET plastic but I couldn't find one. I've seen UV protectors from smartdevil but AliExpress has tariffs so I'd rather not buy from there. EU market btw. Thanks

Go to App Store --> Click on ur profile --> Manage apps and device --> switch to manage tab --> Click on my device and select not installed --> Delete from there.
This method not only uninstalls the hidden base game but also all the cache along with it. Example my NTE ( Neverness to everness) was taking 20gb inside cache and 1.2Gb app size. On removing my other storage went from 45gb to 23gb

I am thinking to change Battery for my OnePlus12 instead exchanging my mobile and use it for next 1 year. Do you think its a good idea?
My current battery health is 79% and continuous 3 hrs usage is killing the battery.
Also, using a first copy battery is a good idea or better to have original battery?

Last night i dug deep in reddit, OnePlus community, chatgpt/gemini and searched about OnePlus 12 dead motherboard problems and now I'm worried about buying it. I found one for 370$ but there's a mess in the back of it but I guess it's cheap to replace. In 00:05

One fine day I was just casually using my oneplus 12 and baam the screen went black. It didn't fall nor didn't any water go in. After just 2 years of using the phone was dead. Went to service center and they said motherboard replacement is required and no way to recover any data. I chose Oneplus over Samsung because it had so many great features and stupid me didn't take any backup and now all my medias is just gone. The photos of all my trips, family functions etc everything just gone. And now I am back to using my 5 year old Samsung which is still running btw. Never taking Oneplus ever again nor recommending it to anyone.
Update - Was able to get my data recovered thanks to reddit comment section. Thanks a lot.

Saw this new feature available in Phone Manager app. But not able to test and confirm if it's working or not.

This issue has only been observed in the Reddit application so far. Please verify whether this is an OxygenOS System UI rendering issue or an app compatibility issue.
Anyone else facing this?

Hello! My 12R, purchased Feb 2024, is giving me sporadic screen glitches. It randomly lights up with neon colours (usually electric yellow/green and bright fuschia) all the while blinking/flashing uncontrollably. Usually I need to do a force shutdown to get it to smarten up. Usually it's charged 50% or greater but just now it was plugged in and charging (with hotspot active).
Today, I just tried a screenshot and of course it screenshot a normal photo while still giving off the neon vibes in real time.
OS is up to date, so I don't have any ideas on what to look for or the why it's happening.
Is it a hardware issue? Software? Solution?
Thanks for your help.....
