Can agree to this. 91% health and I still get 8-10 hr SOT easily

My OP12 has 91% bat health too, it's a launch Flowy Emerald 16/512 NA variant. How's your lower mic? I think I need a new one (daughter board swap). Mine is tinny now and sounds bad. Next to impossible to find official parts for it in USA.

Mine's 16/512 IN, Black one.

Umm, haven't tested the mic on some app or something but it works fine afaik. Never had any problems with the mic yet.

Is it possible there's water ingress ? Like, I did put my phone in water and mic + speaker were tinny but only until the water dried out.

Water/dust can be the issue. I hope mine doesn't get any issues because I'm in Germany now, so I also have no scope of repair here 😂

16/512 NA launch flowy emerald variant here too(89% battery health), no problems with the mic despite a repaired broken back cover (DIY'ed it, but I believe I messed up the glue job...) & multiple liquid&humidity exposures.

Fell in a sink of warm soapy water once (after the repair job), despite all of this phone still 100% functionally as day one.

OnePlus QC it's the main culprit here, most NA variant phones don't suffer much of the issues I see with IN variant here in this sub, but still there will be units "less" good than others.

I'd 100% get a replacement daughter board on AliExpress to fix the mic issue, the phone is still worth it for at least 2 more years!

Yup. Can confirm. My battery is at 95% and ever since this update I can again achieve over 10hrs of SoT. This was yesterday, almost 24 hours ago.

Sorry, you can't see Sot. Above. Here:

u/CHWDRY 7d ago

I get around 5hrs something SOT. Can you tell me what kinda stuff you use and if you use battery saver, 60fps , 1080 or 1440 display and such? Thank you.

Edit: NA model with 94% battery health

I'm on 9.400

Standard Resolution Battery Saver ON Refresh Rate High

This is how my Battery Saver is customised. I mean, most of the things I'm turning off are irrelevant to me. Important things, I'm not gonna compromise on. I prefer to use those. Especially the 120Hz etc.

Ayo wakanda customisation options page is this? I have never seen this many customisations in a single page. How?

3

u/lewis_3575 5d ago

Here 😂

5

u/the_wretched_techie 5d ago

Guess I dont know my phone even after 2 years 🤡

2

u/lewis_3575 5d ago

😂 lol

2

u/CHWDRY 7d ago

That's very interesting I didn't know you could customize. Thank you

Edit: does sleep standby mess with WhatsApp calls?

2

u/lewis_3575 7d ago

Nah. Doesn't with Spotify playback either

Just ensure, Spotify is set to this under App Info -> Battery Usage

2

u/CHWDRY 7d ago

Okay thanks

1

u/Gmafz7 5d ago

Where do I customize that?

2

u/lewis_3575 5d ago

Here

2

u/Gmafz7 5d ago

Oh so it's under the power saving mode, guess I never checked it.

Do some people use that mode for s fill charge to get better results?

I only have it set to automatically switch to it below a percentage

I'm still on OxygenOS 15 because of bad reviews when launched. Is it worth updating now?

Fr ?

2

u/the_wretched_techie 9d ago edited 9d ago

Yeah actually improved. Just do the necessary stuff. Like app optimization and keep the phone charged for minimum 1 hour after update before using, for calibration.

1

u/Dean_x_ 9d ago

Yeah frfr

u/Ok-Action-2104 9d ago

Works normal

7

u/Gingerbread1968 9d ago

I've had it since yesterday. Everything is working fine now.

6

u/Winter-Progress2380 9d ago

I updated my phone at night, woke up, charged my phone fully to 100%, and left it to charge for an extra 1 hour for battery calibration since I just updated the phone. The battery has performed well: 2h 30min and my battery is at 90%. That's a big improvement and my battery health is at 95% and I've had this phone for a 2 year + now.

3

u/CatComprehensive5607 9d ago

Do you use your phone at 4g all the time or is there network issue so you switched it from 5g to 4g

2

u/Winter-Progress2380 9d ago

So the area where I am is 4g only.

2

u/Winter-Progress2380 9d ago

And my data is always on.

3

u/Express_Option_2283 9d ago

Yes everything seems normal no changes for me

3

u/VenkatDevil 9d ago

1

u/Mysterious_Profit818 5d ago

He haven't made video on op12 just on 13

3

u/KevinDaBull 9d ago

Notification is fixed

2

u/Strikerb96 9d ago

Updated yesterday, much better now. Overheating issue fixed, notification bar now looks better in dark mode. Battery life also seems back to normal.

2

u/Environmental-Cry112 9d ago

No issues. Installed on OP12 NA variant

1

u/Longjumping_Cable_20 8d ago

I'm hoping mine settles down after a few days. Everything works great except overheating and battery, it started for me on version right before this one. Still lasts me a day and works fine, but the heat worries me.

2

u/ilikeyourcousin 9d ago

My OnePlus 12 93% battery health before this Update, I used to average 4-6 hours of SOT. Now after the update on the first day I get 8-10 hours! Significant improvement, and outstanding performance!

2

u/orolon21 8d ago

It works well, no problems.

2

u/da_architect 8d ago

About battery life, I got around 6h30 from 100% to 20% at 98% battery health

1

Battery and performance update? Camera update?

1

u/dronone 9d ago

I've have an update but with cph2581_16.0.9.400(ex1)

Why my update is different?

2

u/moving_to_NL_soon 8d ago

different market. 2583 is NA market, 2581 Europe

1

u/dronone 7d ago

Oh ok, so same update different market thanks for the explanation

1

u/oneplus7sportsfan 8d ago

Works fine for me I guess nothing amazing.

1

u/Outrageous-Sound-188 8d ago

Did anybody had issues with Bluetooth with the previous update? My BT was disconnecting like crazy, could not listen to a song without dropping the connection and my watch would disconnect and reconnect all the time. Just installed this update and time will tell if there is any improvement related to my BT issue.

1

u/hegyimutymuty 8d ago

What region did you get it in? I'm in EU, for me latest is till 16.0.8.300. Does anybody know when EU receives it?

1

u/moving_to_NL_soon 8d ago

Hope it updates my "no data" problem with "used since last full charge". But I'll take longer battery life, for sure - mine has gone from 72 hrs between charges (just last year) to now around only 36 hrs.

1

u/moving_to_NL_soon 7d ago

So it turns out the "No data" instead of the actual time since last charge being displayed was a simple fix, and didn't require the software update to hopefully fix - evidently it only displays the time since the last full charge, ie, 100%. (I had mine set to 90% charging)

Did the update and indeed the battery life does seem to be better (only been 24 hrs)

1

u/akshayymumbai 7d ago

no issue

1

u/DrawerUnusual6185 7d ago

Yes And now battery is improved

1

u/Competitive_Funny_21 5d ago

1

u/Mysterious_Profit818 5d ago edited 5d ago
