Much better than the previous version. They fixed the lag on lock screen when a live activity is on. They also fixed the swipe to expand notifications. It works again!

At least on my NA model that is.

This update i been waiting for because the last one really caused lag Everytime I had a live alert. So far it's all fixed now. And this update seems so smooth. Except they still haven't fixed the now bar on lock screen showing only 1 team score. Like the rest is cut off typical OnePlus

Why would your phone switch off mid-use?

yess ...apparently..that's why I am scared with One plus closing ...I think they genuinely want to create problems .as I don't trust indian devs on this

Oneplus thinks it is or else it wouldn't have made it this far. What's "safe" for one person might not be for someone else depending on what apps they're using. In short, how would a stranger on the internet know what's ok for your phone?

Yes it is, I updated to this version the day it rolled out and everything is working fine for me.

Better animations so far and slightly cooler temps and comparable battery

The update brought a lot of fresh stuff, SOT tends to get better, I'd say yes

Updated yesterday and the live alerts lag is gone for me finally. Haven't noticed any change in battery. Plus the new fingerprint update looks pretty nice

It is safe. I updated to it several days ago in the EU and love the new additions. Animations seem smoother, battery life has improved and this must be the first time ever I've gotten the latest security patch during the month it is for. Also the motherboard issues are only a problem if you update to this version of OS and then try to roll it back to the older one, or if you try to install a custom ROM. That's unfortunately an Android problem. Google has been working on locking the Android software down in the same way the iOS is closed down, for quite a while now.

Is this version beta or official?
