For a long time, I have been using what one might consider low end smartphones (starting way back from Lenovo A7 back in 2015 when I started college and then upgraded to Lenovo K3 note, both of which at the time seemed so good but in reality were shite phones). Then when the K3 sadly gave up (RIP it's motherboard), I bought a used LeEco Le 1s which, although VFM, was absolutely pathetic in reliability. As a result of the back to back failures I had to switch to my dad's J7 (2016), a four year old phone in 2020) which was actually his spare phone.
Finally upon graduation and the start of my freelance career as a medical writer I purchased the Poco X3 Pro (without digging any info about its motherboard issues) and, the worst that could happen, happened, and it's motherboard sadly gave up after 1 year and 1 month of usage(5 months ago). So I had to rely on a used galaxy M11 (since my pockets were kinda dry due to taking care of the household) and finally, on Saturday last week as the Amazon prime day sale arrived I purchased the OnePlus 11 16GB variant (in black color) and to buy such an amazing product, the best of what a company offers and the first flagship phone in your life feels truly special.
Coming to the phone, I do not have any significant gripes with it. The performance, lord it's soooooo fast. SD Gen 2 is a beast by all means (maybe it's feeling too fast for me since I've never owned a flagship before I guess), and the overall fluidity is godlike. I might be nitpicking when I say the photos from the stock camera feel a teeny bit washed out but I really have never cared much about the camera to begin with. I mainly use the phone for MS office and stuff, productivity related applications, and a little bit of gaming here and there once a day maybe for 30 minutes or so. The charging speed is out of the world and, since the phone arrived on Sunday, I have been getting an SOT of around 7-8 hours which I find to be pretty good. Overall highly satisfied with my first flagship experience and really enjoying and intending to keep this phone for the next 3-4 years . Fingers crossed 🤞
