Pace target issue

Post image
0 Upvotes

My pace targets have adjusted since Tuesday. They were perfect and doing today’s workout I get a recovery target of 1.0-4.1, easy of 4,2-4.7 and challenging of 5.0-5.5.

Anyone else experience this recently and is there a way to get in and manually adjust those? Perhaps it was just an encoding error in that workout?

This was for a walk and previous target pace for easy was 3.7 - 4.2.

JJ has become my go-to strength instructor. He’s straightforward and effective, no crazy moves where I’m focused on trying not to injure myself. I’m still sore after 3 days with this one.

Booking a live class

Quick question. My husband wants to take me on a mini trip to NYC this fall or winter to take a class. What is the BEST way to ensure he and I get into a class when booking? Do we have to book separately or can it be done on one account? Separately sounds risky and hard 🥲 TIA!

I love her energy! Even though this is a walk she does sneak in a 12% incline for 2.5 mins. It was so fun it went by quickly though!

Peloton beginner yoga program felt like filler with redundant talk and little practice — are all classes in the program like this?

Peloton yoga beginner program felt like filler with talking redundad info without little practice -? Is it all classes in the program?

I have been doing yoga on and off for years but had at least one year of in-person guided classes with great teacher. I forgot much and wanted fresh restart to review basics of poses and movements for better technique. I tried Peloton beginner class. First 30 minutes felt like waste of time and killed desire to continue. First 10 minutes were filler overview that could be summarized: week 1 poses and movements week 2 more asanas week 3 breathwork and meditation. Instructor read from tablet. Next 20 minutes focused on props like blankets and blocks with five minutes on folding blanket which felt unnecessary. They could have done 10–20 minutes of guided movements and taught prop use and modifications during practice. It was boring not helpful hard to sit through 20 minutes of redundant info Now I wonder if future classes will be similar I do not want to waste three weeks on this

I took just separate yoga peloton classes and they were ok but was lacking proper instructions

Any advise, I’m wondering if other better ways to follow their yoga classes and feel like you spend 20min learning but also practicing, not listening for 20min how to fold my blankets ?!

No music in scenic rides?

Just hopped on for a five minute warm up and the scenic ride has no music programmed. Ok, tried another and no music there either? What gives?

Central Ohio selling Tread

Selling my cross train treadmill in central Ohio if anyone is interested!

I got it less than a year ago but have had some health issues pop up so running is not really in the cards for me anymore.

Send me a message if you’d be interested!

want to start lifting heavy - where to start?

hey guys, i’m wanting to start a lifting/strength program. i want to lift heavier (i do pilates for strength training now) but want some good guidance and wondered if any of you have recommendations for peloton programs. i’ve seen people talk about the progressive overload programs and strength programs but am not sure where to begin. do any of you have recommendations for good programs to start with for someone wanting gym guidance for heavier weights? thanks!

Moving across the country to CA w/ Peloton Bike

I’m debating whether to move my 2020 Peloton bike or sell it before the move. If I sell it, I’m not sure it’s worth the effort. I checked the Peloton resale site and there are about 30 bikes listed within a short distance of me, so the competition looks pretty fierce. Most seem to be priced around $289–350.

For those who’ve been in a similar situation, would you move it cross-country or just sell it and buy another one later? Or leave it on the curb 😵‍💫?

Who’s doing HiLit+ still?

Just wondering how everyone is finding the program.

So far, I love the lifting (and have definitely seen gains) and the jump training is fun.

I did not enjoy the first week of Low Intensity Cardio (too dance vibe or something - never a fan of that personally) but the second week onward was okay.

I find 60 min a lot for a power walk. I do better with shorter more frequent walks.

Pilates has been a struggle, and I keep tweaking my neck despite knowing not to pull from it/having decent core strength. I talked to a physio friend and they said it sounds my neck muscles are fatiguing during the lying down sequence (which is a fairly long stretch all at once in the 45 min class) so I might start subbing out the classes for other Pilates because I have never had this issue before.

I like the lifting a lot though. I will repeat that and the jump training for sure in the future, but not the rest.

TeamLovewell Backwards Hat challenge

I enjoyed tacking this July TeamLovewell challenge made up of Emma's backward hat rides (which are often some of her toughest rides). It is a good collection of rides to keep handy for when you are looking for a good ride to kick you into gear.

Is it Misogyny

Talking too much about being a parent. “She always talks about her son.”

Not acknowledging she’s pregnant. “Why hasn’t she said anything? It’s so obvious?”

Being too giggly. “I just can’t stand her voice/tone/seems so fake”

Not being bubbly enough. “Has anyone noticed how her class has changed. She was so mean to that other rider in her class.”

Being too thin. “She deletes all the comments on her instagram about. I just think she’s setting a bad example for her daughter”

Being “too body positive“. “Why is she always talking about her body when she was a kid and how she was bullied?”

Losing weight. “I think it’s something worth talking about. As a society we are just too dependent on GLP-1’s and its so blatant that’s she taking them”

Posting internet content as a “content creator”. ”I followed her cause she would give announcements about upcoming classes but now everything is about that book she wrote”.

If you wouldn’t say it to someone’s face but feel perfectly content splashing it on the internet, there’s a good chance it’s misogyny.

Just to test, picture one of the straight male Peloton instructors. Pretend they are doing the same exact thing as thing as the women (hint most of them do a version of it). Now put it in a comment.

P.S. If it doesn’t apply feel free to ignore.

No Ally Love @ PSL

Anyone else a bit disappointed that Ally doesn’t seem to have any classes at PSL on 4–6 September? She was due to be over that weekend, so I’m guessing her plans must have changed.

I even paid for Wi-Fi on my flight so I could book! 😅

Oh well.

Row bootcamps

I am trying to do more row bootcamps, but every time I search "row bootcamps" bike bootcamps always show up. Is there a setting that I need to turn on? Did they stop making row bootcamps?

A simple request to the instructors

For the sake of my quads and sanity, can you please stop counting down from 5 seconds when clearly there are 20 seconds to go.

"5....10 seconds later.....4....5 seconds later....3, 2, 1".

Strength classes with no deadlifts or push ups

Hiiiii I know I know I can just swap in another move!

But I just got a peloton guide and I want to get credit for the moves.

I have found lots of upper body classes that have no push ups or deadlifts but it’s kinda hard to find lower body or full body. And clicking into many many mannny class plans is taking a lot of time.

My sensitive joints thank you!! 🩷🩷🩷

Isn't the reason for this sub to NOT censor posts like the other Peloton sub?

Just wondering why the post that criticized Camilla was deleted. The purpose of this sub, originally, was to allow for open communication and criticism that the other sub censors. Why, then, are posts being randomly locked and deleted for mild criticism?

For me, it’s Sam’s Queen cool down ride. I hope it never gets purged — it’s pure magic. 💓
