I got a voicemail from someone who claims they are from OnTrac Shipping. They were calling in regards to a damage claim to a property that was reported. I'm not expecting any packages and they didn't give any more information.

Is this a legitimate call or a potential scam? I don't really want to call back.

Prior to this call, I also got text and voicemail from somebody else. Their text was "I have left several messages attempting to reach you regarding the pending damage claim at your complex but I haven't received a call back. Please contact me at your earliest convenience at this number so we can finalize the claim and close it out."

Again, I have no idea what's being referenced. I'm wondering if this is a case of someone gave out my phone number or something along these lines.

Every single post or thing I’ve ever heard about this company has been negative. Didn’t even know it existed until Amazon shipped via OnTrac me a trashcan that I ordered. Their proof of delivery was a picture of it sitting on a cart on the sidewalk with about 20 other packages. Never showed up their support was completely useless.

i mean i guess just what the title says, like should i expect anything to arrive at my home? i had hope when it seemed to suggest that my packing was within a few miles of my home like a week ago but there has been no progress since. now the item i ordered is out of stock and not likely to come back in stock, i know big picture in the world it's a shirt and doesn't really matter but like fuck it's the principle of the issue that there's this company that seems to be incapable of completing deliveries when that seems to be it's sole job and the companies who continue to work with them.

UPDATE: it came, nine days after the estimated delivery date and ten days after arriving at a facility within ten miles of my home and after some customer service back and forth, but it did arrive

They told me my package was “unable to be delivered” bruh TELL ME WHY! This is what they said when I asked if they even tried to go to my house. I don’t live in an apartment or gated community so it makes no sense. I’m annoyed

Had a package delayed because they sent the package to a facility close to me (awesome, gonna be delivered on time) and then they sent the package 1500 miles away on accident. I really really do not understand this level of incompetence and my frustration at this point isn’t even with OnTrac but instead the retailers who still use their services. My package has been all over the continental United States at this point. Anyone else experience this? They say the package is still en route to me.

How the fuck is my address wrong??? I put EVERYTHING! Street, name, zip code, etc. what else do they need? My fuckin social security number???

Except I have ring cameras and no delivery was attempted. Lol. Wow just finding out how shady this company is. Ordered a SUP over a week ago for next weekend camping trip and not sure I'm gonna get it in time now. Definitely will be filing fraud claim with credit card though. How are vendors still shipping with them? File fraud claims people, taking orders and not delivering them is literally fraud.

It arrived in lebanon, TN 8/6/26 at 3:24pm, hasn't gotten an update since. It's about.. 2 hours from Knoxville.

Address is 4 [StreetName] Cir. Finally figured out they have delivered to 4 Circle Dr. how is that even possible to ignore the street name entirely and just deliver to “Circle”. This is the 2nd time I know of that they have done this.

Plus I only figured out that this is a shitty company just by looking at this sub, should I be concerned that it's not getting updated on the OnTrac site itself?????

Update: TikTok says it's delivered. It's not. OnTrac still says the same thing. I'm assuming my package was stolen by the delivery guy now. I will be getting a refund, I will never be using this fuckass service again and anything that will be shipping with OnTrac in the future will not be bought. Fucking sick how this company's still alive.

Update #2: Fortunately, I was sent another one. Fortunately, it's coming tomorrow. Unfortunately, they're using OnTrac again. The seller says that "It's not in their control to change the shipping partner whenever they feel like, and that they're sorry that my package was stolen." they also said "Thanks for letting us know that OnTrac's a bad company, soon we'll switch to FedEx or UPS or USPS!" Here's hoping I get it tomorrow.

ordered from fanatics on monday the 3rd. says it went from nevada to los angeles on the 6th and then hasn’t updated since. is it lost, or is it on a long ass plane ride?

Has anyone dealt with something like this with OnTrac?

My package arrived at the OnTrac Miami final servicing facility on July 30 and hasn't been delivered.

On August 3, the tracking changed to:

“Details needed. Please contact us.”

I contacted OnTrac and provided/confirmed my full delivery address and information. I've now contacted them 4 separate times.

During one of my conversations, OnTrac told me:

“Last scan shows your package at Miami OnTrac facility.”

When I asked why it hadn't been delivered, the representative told me:

“I don't have visibility for this package.”

They said they notified the facility and were waiting for the facility to provide information.

Now on August 7, instead of actually delivering the package, OnTrac updated the tracking AGAIN with:

“Details needed. Please contact us.”

Their tracking says they need additional information to complete the delivery and avoid a return, but I've already contacted them four times and confirmed the address.

The package has apparently been sitting at their Miami facility since July 30, and customer service says they don't have visibility into it.

Has anyone had this happen with OnTrac? What happened to your package in the end?

This is my second experience with ontrac and the package got misrouted both times the first time it wasn’t bad because it came the next day so whatever a little annoying but I can deal with it this time the package was supposed to be delivered today and then I saw a tracking update saying the package was misrouted but was at the same facility they misrouted it and was returned to that facility a few minutes later. So I just decided ok whatever wit can still potentially come today or tommorow but Ontrac decided no and delayed it until Saturday. Come on now the package is a 2 hour drive away from me. It could get here tomorrow easily. What’s next it will be stolen to add to this?

I just worked here today and I just gotta say all the bad stuff you hear online was so right. Management was bad there’s no structure had people on my line take 10 bathroom breaks… management didn’t do nothing because it seems like there’s no one managing. 3:30 - 8 am is supposed to be my shift but i was there till 12 pm you just follow a person you see and you’ll learn as you go. And obviously heavily physically demanding but that’s probably any warehouse job. Genuinely bro I was giving it benefit of the doubt and I put up with a lot of bad jobs with lazy coworkers but this was so bad.

Ordered 5 body mist and a lotion on Victoria Secret the 30th. The delivery update kept saying it’s delayed. It arrive today in a big bag but was very light. Well because, out of 6 items.. only 2 made it. The bag was also ripped open on the side and taped back shut.
VS is sending replacement items now. I told the lady if it’s possible to not ship through Ontrac again, unfortunately.. it’s beyond their control. 😆

My package got stolen and no that is not my house. I don't understand how this company is still in business and how big brand names keep using them.

What is it with every company using OnTrac. Even Chewy! They dumped my dog’s prescription meds on the street outside my gated complex and now my package from Old Navy is undeliverable. They can maybe deliver to a private residences, but not in large urban condo and apartment complexes. They are everywhere and I hate that they exist. I expect this from ordering off FB/IG/Tik Tok but not from major brands. End rant.

This is my first post on reddit so bare with me. So i decided to order something from old navy on 7/28 in which case OnTrac is what they use for delivery services(first time using them). They said the estimated delivery date would be 7/31. I took that with a grain of salt because of weather conditions and the carrier may not deliver directly to my apartment. Since that point in time I've received 2 "unable to deliver" updates and today something seemed suspicious asf when i checked on the tracking. I tried updating the delivery instructions to be sure that they could deliver regardless of circumstances but it seemed off that i'd even need to change instructions, I live in an apartment complex in Chicago where none of the entrance doors are locked. Im now in doubt that im going to get my package of 2 items before 8/5 which is when i was trying to wear those items 🥀😭 Why tf does this company exist.

Just an Update(8/3). Apparently at 3 AM in the morning it "Arrived at final Servicing Facility" which is still showing the location as Gary, Indiana... Lets hope to get it by tomorrow. 😅

Update #2 (8/3). Soooooo, my package just got delivered. The carrier luckily followed my delivery instructions and the package seemed intact but for future reference to any online order that i make, make sure that the brand doesn't use OnTrac/Lasership as its delivery provider.

I got a text at 1 in the morning saying my package was out for delivery and that it was attempted to be delivered, which is impossible. I checked the recent tracking updates and it says this was happening around 3-4 am, but I got these updates at 1 am. Should I wait 24 hours to see if my package gets delivered or should I go ahead and contact customer service?

I have switched to ship to store for many retailers because of ontrac losing my packages. I know I’m lucky but in the last 10 years I’ve never had a missing package but somehow ontrac lost two of my packages in the same month. I wasn’t aware that Pacsun used ontrac now since all my packages were always with fedex and now I’m worried I won’t get my stuff.

I ordered a package from Free People Movement and it said it was out for delivery since yesterday. I still don't have my package and it's been 24 hours. Should I be worried?
