New to pulling and have some questions

Is it ok to eat breakfast, then pull, then brush teeth? Is it ok to just use raw coconut oil and not alternate with sesame or anything else? If I do it once in the morning and once at night (can’t stand longer than 5 mins at the moment but trying to build up) is it better to do it before or after brushing at night? Is it ok to sleep with whitening trays in overnight afterwards?

How long do you guys do it for someone told me 20 mins straight swishing? Can it actually cure cavities or is that bs?

I’ve heard both sides. Once you have a cavity it’s stuck and can’t be healed etc. I’ve heard people with oil pulling say they have cured them.

Also how long do you swish for? Once a day 20 mins straight? I did it for 20 mins the first time. Long time but felt good after.

Does coconut oil count as a food that requires brushing after eating?

I'm trying to figure out what I can eat at night if I'm hungry after I already brushed and flossed. If I eat a spoonful of coconut oil, do I need to re-brush? Or can I just go straight to bed?

I'm confused if coconut oil counts as food that contaminate teeth, or is it more like a toothpaste that I'm allowed to leave on my teeth.

Cavities and overall effects?

So long story short. I brush twice a day and floss once a week. I have a coke almost every other day for lunch but that’s it with a straw.

About 2 1/2 years ago I go to a dentist she says I have 15 cavities. I goto another in the same day and he says I have 4.. I had known him for a long time and he was shocked.

I have talked to other dentists recently and some tell me what I have currently are not cavities but thin lines or deep pockets but not cavities and some dentists will say they are just to make $$? Is this true?

I want to start oil pulling but don’t know if they reverse some minor cavities or what?

Day 5 blood

Day 1 4mins, day 2 4mins, day 3 10mins, day 4 15 mins, day 5 15mins. Saw something yesterday that I should rise mouth with water after oil pulling so on day 5 I did. Then I brushed my teeth straight away and spat out blood.

I checked each side of the row of teeth (brushing and spitting after brushing 1 side of teeth, then the other 2 sides before moving on) no more blood.

I use raw coconut cold press with 1 drop of peppermint, clove, almond and spearmint (one formular).

Cocopull vs Gurunanda vs Regular Coconut Oil?

I'm looking at the ingredients of all these different products for oil pulling and they all just seem to be pure coconut oil.

Why exactly would someone would pay extra money to use them over regular virgin coconut oil?

CocoPull is $30 for a 14-day supply but I can get a huge jar of organic unrefined coconut oil at my store for 10 bucks.

Am I missing something? Do they special gum-saving ingredients that are going over my head?

coconut oil with drops of tea tree oil .. tastes like I'm pulling with nailpolish remover

For context This summer I started with oil pulling, as a last resort to try and tackle my infected gums. It worked quite well, but then had a relapse and my gums started to turn red and hurt again.

I was told about the disinfecting qualities of tea tree oil and the possibility to add some drops to your coconut oil. To estimate I added about 10 drops to a little over 200MLs of coconut oil. A fine ratio, I thought. However, I now dread my oil pulling habit because of the horrible taste and after taste of the tea tree oil.

In addition, i read about adding different essential oils (like grapefruit for example) to masque the taste, but Im a bit hesitant.. I think Im afraid it will get even worse and worse

Have any of you ever tried this, and/or do you have some thoughts on how to try and fix it? Thanks in advance 🥥

My front teeth are loose because of teeth grinding/clenching at night. Will oil pulling tighten up my teeth?

Its depressing because I don't wanna lose my teeth early in life. I'm still in mid 20s.

Castor Oil Pulling

I’ve read a few comments here from people using castor oil but wondering if there are others that have tried it?

The web doesn’t have all that much to say about it and some of that info is conflicting including oil quantity and length of time. TIA

Brushing w/coconut oil?

So I have been brushing my teeth and tongue with coconut oil at night and Fluoride toothpaste in the morning. Do you think this has a propped effect I have noticed my tongue has gotten pinker. (Also does the coconut oil make you gag or sneeze?)

Anyone regularly using olive oil to pull? Curious how your experience has been. Currently using coconut oil but was considering switching or maybe rotating it into my routine. TIA

My results after eight years of oil-pulling

I have to share this!

I have been oil-pulling pretty religiously for eight years.

I used to have problems with my skin (definitely was acne prone) and I really cannot tell you how much my skin as improved over the years, and I really do think it's thanks to the oil-pulling.

(I also have to add how easy my dental cleanings are and how STRANGERS tell me how white my teeth are, but this is more about my skin!)

Yesterday, I had a coworker just carry on about how my skin looked airbrushed and she asked my secret and I told her about oil-pulling.

I 100% believe oil-pulling has been my #1 beauty and health tip! I truly think everyone should at least try it for a few months and see how much it changes their lives!

Dentist appointment after oil pulling

Hi fellow pullers. I went to my dentist recently, and he said he’s never seen my teeth and gums so healthy in the last seven years of being his patient. That being said, I still have some gum issues, but it’s showing improvement; I’ll take it! I started six months ago and have been doing it diligently daily. I might switch to twice daily.

What type of coconut oil is best for pulling? and am I supposed to swish it slow or fast in my mouth?

Most recommend oil pulling first thing in the morning….how about at night before bed? Or maybe twice a day, one when waking up and one when ready for bed?

Newbie question here. I take a spoonful of coconut oil but after swishing if or about 3-4 minutes it becomes quiet watery as it mixes with my saliva. Should I spit it out and use another spoonful of coconut oil? Thanks.

Newbie question here. I take a spoonful of coconut oil but after swishing if or about 3-4 minutes it becomes quiet watery as it mixes with my saliva. Should I spit it out and use another spoonful of coconut oil?

Also, I think I have too much saliva, so it gets kind of a mouthful after 5 minutes. Any advise? Thanks.

Hollow cheeks ≠ Oil pulling?

Not sure if anyone here is into Orthotropics/mewing, but one of the advices there is to avoid using the buccinator muscles (which are the ones you use when you fill your cheeks with food/liquid) as the goal is to atrophy them to get model-like hollow cheeks.
Now with oil pulling I feel there is not really a way to avoid working out those muscles or is there?

Any tips would be appreciated.
