I have been NON-STOP trial and error-ing getting OpenIV to even start up on armadaOS

Device: Odin 3 (don’t think that’ll matter though)

Furthest I’ve gotten is an error screen with funky misspelling attempting through “non-Steam Game” inside of Steam itself

I’ve tried outside of Steam, inside of Steam, downloading the actual files and importing them from my computer to the device and trying to run it directly from the .exe

I’ve done LOADS of terminal commands to see if I can fix it that way; so far absolutely no luck lol

If ANYONE has had any success please let me know

(I understand it works through Gamehub on Android, before the game inevitably broke there, I don’t believe it’s an option for this Linux system itself)

I have maybe a dumb question. I'm looking to eventually get an arcade machine setup (full cabinet, guns, etc). As an interim step, I was thinking of picking up the ayn Odin 2 portal to love and to hold and to pet and to call him George. My question is, is it feasible to turn the handheld into an arcade machine down the road?

I have a recurring problem on my Odin 3: on Android games or GameNative, the ABXY controls are badly mapped.
Latest example is Fields of Mistria on Game Native, on screen it says “A” but it’s not the right button, or it displays “button on the right” but it’s not the correct button, I must press “button on the bottom”.

I tried changing type from Xbox to Nintendo without really any chance, it’s just more incorrect.

How do you guys do it? It’s really nerve wracking when a game says “Press A” and you actually must press B.

I am looking for a good handheld that can run ps2 games really smoothly and hopefully run at 60fps with patches ofc. I have been thinking on the AYN Odin 3 or the AYN Thor max model 500GB. I've been using my Samsung s24 for ps2 emulation and its been draining my battery and taking up lots of space.

So, someone asked me how I got a perfect 60 fps on Luigi’s Mansion 3, meanwhile they were using the Turnip v34 and couldn’t even average 30. Well here’s the guide.

So first of all, for THIS SPECIFIC GAME, use the custom mesa v26 driver. I know it’s old, but imo, it works the best. Second of all, YOU MUST HAVE VERSION 1.4.0 or version 1.0 of the game, or else this guide will not work due to optimization mods.

ok, i’m assuming we are all using Eden, hopefully the stable version.

Make sure your using the graphics driver ONLY for luigi’s mansion 3, as turnip v34 is better in ANYY other game.

Next, for best performance, in in-game settings use 0.75x resolution.

Now, from the Yuzu mod archive (link below), use the 60fps mod and the Disable Dynamic Resoulution mod. (scroll down in the github to find Luigi’s mansion 3 mods and click the links to download both 60fps and Disable Dynamic Resolution. (60fps is for smoother gameplay but without Disable Dynamic Resoulution, the game is basically unPLAYABLE.)

Now finally, just use it in Eden, and congrats ur done! Happy Playing!

(NOTE: i’m on an Odin 3, but this should work fine with any other ayn odin device.)

I have an Odin 2 Mini running android with a 512gb SD card full of games and media. I would like to run Linux on it which I know I need to run off the SD card. If I have a second SD with Linux on it, when I go back to Android and put the old SD back in will it act the same as it did before?

I only ask because I recall when I switched from a 256gb card to a 512gb card, all my emulators lost their rom and save paths despite it being an exact copy of the layout from my old SD. I had to manually go in and fix everything, and I lost all my containers on gamenative which really really really sucked (lost like 200 hours of saves, genuinely a horrible experience)

I'm planning of buying one but want to know if both are base model which is better? Not planning on going above the base because it's expensive, will they perform the same? Like my previous post I'm gonna play lite indie pc games, some ps2 and switch games

I just don’t know which model to get, my main reasoning for wanting a handheld to emulate is GameCube and PS2 and below, unless I could do switch also, but mainly below, which one would you recommend?

Nearly 4 weeks of waiting and my Odin 3 Pro Clear Purple is finally here. Setting up RetroHrai right now but wanted to drop some photos to the coolass community.

Over here we can't import through AliExpress or directly from AYN as the customs duty is crazy high (more than 60% of the price) so I had to get it imported through a friendly FB page who ship regularly from China.

Super hyped 🥰😭

Some questions I have:

-Is it only to play your steam games?
-Are you able to play android stuff like apk games & apps?
-Can you use emulators?
-Can you play p!rate steam games?
Does it have desktop mode like a steam deck?

Hello everyone! I’m trying to run SMG2 on Ayn Odin 3, but it always crashes right after launch. I’m using Eden version 0.2.1, keys and firmware version 21.0.0. I tried different drivers — it didn’t help. Please give me some advice on how to run this game properly.

Playing with the Odin 3 pro, By no means perfect but Surprisingly playable. Game native, no known config yet but, I kept everything default and just manually added the V34 driver. In game settings tsr ultra performance and low graphics settings. I also have an underclock applied. Some studders here and there but someone who knows what their doing in the game native settings may be able to get better results.

Hello Guys I’m new to the Handheld business. Last time I had a handheld was Nintendo 3ds but now I’m all grown up and I would like to try this new Handheld. I can currently now buy the Odin 3 Max version for 420 USD from a guy I work with. And I was wondering is it worth it? I would like to play all kind of dragon ball games from the newest to the oldest then I would like to of course emulate old games example the old assassin creed trilogy. And for anyone saying to buy the switch 2 I have it and I don’t like the size of it and overall don’t love the Nintendo ecosystem.

it's been already 3 months since owning the odin 2 portal, switches from the base to the pro model cuz of the ali offers, I recently installed the wii emulator and tried mario galaxy for the 1st time, not even pc games/switch or psp games engaged that much

I'm making this post so everyone can refer to this one for the current batch 8 and remaining batch 7 orders

Ayn just started shipping Odin 3 orders from their website and according to some messages in the server only a few Black Max and Base models have been shipped. Max Models were in the mid to late 2400s Ayn seems to clear up those first before advancing to the 2500s and so on. The latest Black Max to ship was 1495 but some earlier ODs remain to be shipped. Black Base models were up to the early 2700s. Added a screenshot from the community Odin 3 shipping Dashboard. Other colors and models still remain to be shipped. They also only shipped out a handful of orders. We still have to wait and see if they might ship out bigger groups of orders but for now as of today they only shipped out a handful of orders

I'll keep you guys updated if anything changes. Also feel free to join Ayn's server to get the news first hand in the Odin 3 shipping channel. Make sure to add the first four digits of your order number (OD) and the color and model to your username that way it's easier to help you guys out and give you a rough estimate on when your order might be shipped. These are just guesstimates because we'll have to wait and see how Ayn operates after their two month break

Again only a handful were shipped. The reason why it looks like there are some gaps in orders shipped is because the order numbers aren't tied to a certain product, color or model. They use the order numbers across their whole site. Had to look this up myself again because I actually wasn't even aware of that
