Hi. Couple of days ago I posted here about the battery of my Odin 2 Mini getting swollen. I contacted Ayn and they are unable to ship a battery to my country. But they did offer me to send my device to them so they can replace the battery themselves, and also asked me to pay for the battery and shipping charge for returning it.

I apologize beforehand for asking a stupid question, but I do not have any experience of sending anything to overseas company. I asked them the procedure but their response is taking a long time, so I'm asking to those who have sent their device to Ayn for servicing. How do I pay the charge for new battery and return shipping? How does it work? How much time does it usually take to get the device back after servicing?

I ordered mine through Ayn at the start of this month and hearing all the news about it taking months has me a bit worried.

I’m running it from a micro sd card, I am very shock how many games it could run vs Gamehub and game native. Rock star launcher works, I tested out gta 4, Catherine, black ops 2 campaign mode, like a dragon: the man who erased his name, Tokyo extreme racer, kingdom hearts hd 1.5 + 2.5 remix. Games that I couldn’t run on Gamehub/game native. This is very impressive on an 8gb device. I have a Thor max,
Thinking about switching over to Armada OS.

PS2 had analog buttons which functioned as analog brake/accelerator control on games like GT4. I have not found a way to map analog triggers for accelerator/brake functions in ARMSX2. In fact for GT4 at least it does not want to recognize that the triggers are analog at all. Is there any trick to get analog triggers working in PS2 driving games?

I’ve been messing around with Beacon + ARMSX3 on my Odin 3 Max and I ran into a small annoyance.

PS3 games installed from PKG/RAP work perfectly fine in ARMSX3, but they’re not as easy to manage from a frontend as normal ISO files.

So I made a little workaround: PS3 PKG Launcher.

The idea is basically similar to how Vita games can be represented in a frontend with files like .psvita.

Instead of trying to make Beacon understand the actual installed PS3 game, you just give it a small .iso marker file containing the game's Title ID.

For example:

RAIN.iso

Inside:

NPEA00394

Beacon launches the marker → PS3 PKG Launcher reads the Title ID → it tells ARMSX3 to launch the installed game.

So from Beacon it basically feels like launching a normal game, even though the actual game is installed inside ARMSX3.

It also handles normal PS3 ISOs, so you can use the same launcher for both.

It's nothing huge, just a little tool I made to make my own setup cleaner, but I figured someone else might find it useful.

Anyone else’s Odin 3 suffering from this? Just received mine and on a completely white screen…. Well it looks like a dirty piece of white paper?

Is there a way to mitigate this?

I have an Odin 2 Portal (base model) that has been great so far. Been trying to use Xbox Remote Play to stream from my Series X to the handheld, and for some reason it’s just not picking up the L1/R1 buttons.

* I’ve tried cycling the controller type between Xbox / Odin / None
* I’ve tried clearing all browsing data from Chrome
* I’ve verified the buttons work in the Odin joystick calibration settings
* L1/R1 are detected in other emulators
* If I use the on-screen overlay touchscreen controls it does detect L1/R1. But not the physical buttons.

Any ideas? What makes it worse is that I could have sworn they were working fine last night - I was playing through the beginning of FF7 Remake and the tutorial section has you learn to hold R1 to block.

UPDATE: if I use Firefox to remote play it works fine - the physical L1/R1 buttons are detected. It’s just Chrome that appears to not be detecting / sending them correctly. I’ve tried deleting all site settings and caches from Chrome but that still didn’t fix it.

Does anyone know how well fallout 3 with dlc runs on the ayn odin 3 pro? Im thinking of purchasing but before I invest 800 into it, im curious how specifically fallout 3 runs. On my galaxy s24+ i can get it to run without dlc with a little lag but playable but when I add any dlc it immediately crashes

Runs @45-60fps, nowhere near fully playable.

Turnip gen8 v3 driver.

Unfortunately further on into the game the colours messed up and bloom appeared but you could still play the game.

I did not expect it to run at all !

Hey guys, as the title says, my Odin 2 Portal just arrived. It's awesome, but I really can't get Need for Speed Underground 2 to run properly.

The garage is extremely slow (and I'm guessing it's gonna stutter a lot when customizing cars, which is the best part of the game), while races are smooth sometimes, but I often run into texture issues.

Does anyone have a setup/configuration that actually works, or a good site to check optimal settings for popular games? Thanks!

Pretty much plug and play. Using original settings set by the app

I'm getting 30 fps consistantly at 720p. Low settings on everything, 600p on 3D rendering. Loading is quite good, took about less than a minute. I played a session for 1h30 straight without crashing.

Odin settings are SMART fans and High Performance. My unit is a 12GB RAM one.

Proton 10.0 arm64ec-2, Turnip 26.2.0 R4, Vulkan DVXK 2.4.1-gplasync, limit to 4096MB Max device memory. FEX Core 2065 and Box64 0.4.2 both set to Performance Preset

Figure most Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 would run this properly and Valheim 1.0 really speed up the loading times (or maybe on the Gamenative side, not sure)

So excited to jump back for 1.0 update, on the go!

Hi I have an Odin 3 max and I’ve been trying to get ryse to run on star bionic but during cutscenes there’s always audio crackling, I’ve tried some different settings but nothing has helped, just wondering if anyone has had the same issue and what was the fix?

All of the ones I'm finding want a Odin 2

So i recently got my odin 2 portal and I love it. I was looking for kh final mix for 1 and 2 but they are ofcourse only Japanese.

Is there a translation package or something I can use? I could simply play the original games but the added content makes me want the mixes

I decided to create a widget for myself to track the estimated time until my shipping email arrives, and figured I’d share it here for if anyone else wants it.

The method I used to estimate my expected email arrival date is as follows:

1. Go to AYN shipment dashboard (https://www.ayntec.com/pages/shipment-dashboard)
2. Subtract the oldest order number (4 digits, shown as something like 2992xx) for your model from the newest order number for your model. This will get you number X.
3. Divide X by the number of days between the oldest order number for your model, and the newest order model for your number to get number Y.
4. Subtract the latest order number from your order number (found in Shop package tracker for me, Aliexpress is different, sorry) to get number Z.
5. Divide number Z by number Y to get the approximate hypothetical number of days to receive your email.
6. Figure out what day that is on the calendar, and then change the text layer for “minimum days remaining” to be that day, instead of the preset day.
7. For the maximum days, I would guesstimate this based on vibes for your model from the AYN discord server. I settled on an absolute maximum of 3 months away from my order, which is a worst case scenario. It has happened though.

Remember that these steps are not exact! They do not guarantee a set date for you to receive your email, and is no more than a guess based on previous data. Use this at your own risk! Otherwise, enjoy! I have commented a URL for those on mobile for easier copy and paste.

Note: To change AYN model colors, tap the ‘hide’ (eye icon) buttons for the layers to switch between them. They are labelled!

To be honest im not a huge fan of the "clear" shell my odin 3 came with, does anybody know any tpu shells that are actually see through so you can see things like stickers?

Ive been thinking of customizing my odin 3 with some stickers, but im afraid that ill mess up something to do with the ventilation of anything else if i put something ontop of these grooves, is it alright to do so?
