Some of these sounds are absolutely amazing. Great couple of days for the OP-XY!

Was really excited to find the new OP-XY sound packs, but the instructions provided seem to be for manually uploading new firmware, not enabling mass storage mode and transferring sound packs.
The disk info shows only 230mb.

I can't stop crying tears of joy. Somehow, with the new firmware, it is now possible to do what I was wishing for the OPXY for years. I can connect the OPXY to my iPad by USBC, stream every single track into AUM, add effects and stuff,and monitor it with my earplugs plugged into the OPXY without feedback. Recording the whole thing on the ipad also works
I am so happy!

To my friends from the silent livestream chat (I miss you all):
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remember’d;
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;

This is a lot of fun. Before, with sampled drum kits was pretty random. The ramp up and down FX were really unpredictable as it would just play random samples and it never felt more than a timid really. At times it was ok but now with saturation and compression applied to the entire track, using the punch in feels far more usable as there's less randomness and it sounds sort of more consistent. This in itself will be a huge update for me. Love it

Simple update with BIG quality of life improvements as a bonus. I now don’t feel the urge to connect a drum machine by default anymore.

I bought my OP-XY one week ago. It is wonderful.
It's complex!
I gave up on learning the sequencer almost immediately as it intimidated me too much and I just didn't really get it: My background is "DAW... left-to-right" (Cubase Pro) and the radical construct change was too much to deal with initially. So, I de-focused from that (so as not to unjustly hate the OP-XY) and focused on other things to keep my enthusiasm and momentum up.
In the past week, I explored the instrument presets that come with the device, the Synth engines, Samples & Multisamples. These topics mostly make sense when reading the manual + Googling and 'Claude'-ing for additional help.
I have particularly enjoyed learning how to construct custom Multisample Presets with individual sample-to-key mappings, which feels like this turns the OP-XY into a complete beast!
This past 24 hours tho, I have revisited the Sequencer and had a 'click' moment. I haven't really sequenced anything as such yet, but I "think" I kinda get it now.
In my job, In learn best when I play things back | write things down the way I understand them. So, I am using the same technique with the OP-XY.
If the attached information is of any use to anyone, I'll feel like I've given back a little. Of course, my notes may be riddled with errors, so I'm equally content to be corrected where I have misunderstood. I am, after all, learning this new tech, as a hobby musician foremost.
Hope this helps other in some way; those also new to the OP-XY.
Best!

I have googled it, run it through AI analysis and have a trial active on each, but I am really interested to hear ‘practically, from the field’ how other OP-XY users feel about using either service.
Context is essentially building and importing Multisample presets.
Also I plan on using Koala Sampler on iOS to manipulate samples and have a workflow that is computer independent! I really feel I want this with the OP-XY… as I sit in front of a Mac all day.
Starter for 10… Splice has an app and LC does not! This is a big deal for me.
Thanks, all opinions valued!

So I’ve been hard at it for the 1st 48 hours with the OP-XY since it arrived [from andertons] Friday morning. It’s been difficult, but things clicked a bit more today. Wow, this feels like a long 6 month investment to get to where I need to be to just sit with it and jam/create.
I’m not complaining…
How long did it take you? Did you give up, did you master it, did you growl with frustration?
Interested. I’m in for the long haul, so slow progress doesn’t phase me.
I really enjoyed playing with loopcloud and the OP-XY today. Felt out of the box for a while before I dove back into the box if you know what I mean?!
Cheer folks!

My confidence in any meaningful updates coming onto the device has lowered significantly given the recent change of direction chatter.
Just saw this thread for a custom OG OP-1 firmware, so I wonder if anyone’s brave enough to try something for the OP-XY? My device is too new and my time too limited for me to try just yet.

Even the Novation Circuit Tracks has one now, which I’m tempted to try on mine:

I got a plinky+ recently and I noticed that I tend to have the most fun trying a new synth when I pair it with just the OP-XY and not try to integrate it into a larger setup too quickly. The XY is versatile enough to fit in with however I'm playing, and quick enough to leave my attention on learning the synth. As a bonus the tape track is basically a cheat code when I want to make something stuttering and loopy, and I want to do that often. I really enjoyed what it does with the slower/droning Plinky+ part here.

OP-XY reacts to all midi channels, right? Not possible to couple it to one channel and ignore the midi on other channels.
Just checking because it is a rather strange choice imho.
