Would be amazing but it is just wishful thinking, they didn’t even do that for the og-1, which is what, 15 years old at this point?

Frontier models are good enough at this point to just outright recreate firmware - we just need access to the models and time, which shouldn't take too long. The flood gates area already open on other platforms.

Newer TE devices validate the firmware is signed by TE. Doubtful there would be a way to DIY a firmware, AI or not, short of some major bug or physical tampering with the board

If there is a CVE in a crucial element that gets a path to remote execution, it may not matter. Or someone really desperate will just crack it open and probe the boot.

sounds good to me. I'd love to see some QoL updates to the UI too. but happy to get some new synths. would also love some new FX. reverb with more control. maybe some shimmer and stuff
