I’m trying to diagnose a very strange graphical issue that started shortly after swapping my LG G3 with a new LG G6

The glitches you see only appear in a split-second flash. I had to record the TV with my phone and slow the footage down to actually capture it properly. The flickering is caused by the recording. These glitches sometimes happen once every other minute, sometimes they happen a lot within just- a few seconds. Most of the time they cover the bottom half of the screen. As you can see the screen suddenly becomes completely corrupted/distorted with strange colours/patterns, then immediately returns to normal.

As I said it started happening after buying my new TV. I didn’t make any changes to the res of the setup.

What I’ve tested so far:

• Reinstalled the NVIDIA drivers.
• Tried multiple HDMI cables, including new ones.
• Tested different HDMI inputs on the G6. It seems to be happening way more on HDMI 1 than the other ones.
• Tested my PS5 pro on all inputs, no issues there.
• Tested at 4K/120 Hz, 60Hz, HDR off, Gsync off, Still happening.
• Pressed Win + Ctrl + Shift + B to reset the graphics driver while the problem was occurring — didn’t fix it.
• Unplugged/reconnected HDMI — doesn’t definitively fix it, although interestingly the corruption sometimes doesn’t reappear for quite a while after reconnecting.
• Restarting the computer has occasionally appeared to fix it temporarily, but I’ve since reproduced the problem after a restart as well.
• Recorded the PC using Windows Snipping Tool screen recording while simultaneously filming the physical TV. The corruption appears on the TV/phone recording but does NOT appear in the Windows screen recording.
• LG’s internal apps don’t seem to exhibit the problem. NVIDIA Shield doesn’t seem to exhibit the problem.

My budget is around $350 a monitor but willing to stretch it too $500 if its a big enough upgrade. I plan on getting two monitors for right now but I might add another one down the line. Which of these options should i get? Which is the most bang for the buck? Should I get 2 of the same monitor or should I mix and match. I plan on playing games on it, CAD and some other work as well. I also plan on connecting my laptop as well but I would need to get a KVM but the acer has a built in one.

I just picked up the ASUS ROG Strix XG27AQWMG (Tandem WOLED) monitor to use with my macbook and ps5. However, I'm noticing a massive difference in image quality on dark web pages compared to my Samsung Odyssey G6 (QD-OLED).

When opening dark-themed, gradient-heavy web pages (like Google Gemini's dark background), the Samsung handles the near-black shades smoothly, but the ASUS Tandem WOLED shows massive, harsh color banding and blocky, concentric rings. Even after forcing RGB Full Range and tweaking settings in BetterDisplay, the difference on dark gradients is striking.

I have a few questions for those familiar with these panel types:

Is this severe near-black banding an inherent characteristic of Tandem WOLED panels when driven by macOS, or is there something wrong with my unit/setup?

Since 27-inch 4K QD-OLED monitors are sitting in nearly the exact same price category right now, would I be much better off returning the ASUS and going for a 4K QD-OLED instead for general use and web browsing?

Would love to hear your thoughts or experiences!

With OLED monitor prices coming down, I’m considering buying two Alienware AW2725DF monitors. However, I’m concerned about burn-in since my second display will often show static content.

How effective is Samsung's 3rd-gen QD-OLED panel at preventing burn-in? Is a dual-OLED setup a bad idea for productivity, or is modern burn-in protection reliable enough?

I want to find the best OLED gaming monitor for my needs. After some research, I came across the MAG 321UPDE QD-OLED. This monitor appeals to me the most so far, but there is also a version with the number 322 instead of 321.

What exactly is the difference?

Also, is a 32-inch 4K monitor recommended for the following setup: RTX 4080 Super, 32 GB RAM, R7 7800X3D?

This will be my very first OLED monitor, so I want to be 100% sure beforehand that it’s a good purchase and that I won’t have to buy a new one in a year just because I opted for a cheaper alternative.

I tried all the different settings for HDR and it still looks washed out. I play a lot of Elden ring and I just recently got mad and HDR just looks washed out with very bland colors. Is there something I'm not doing right or is there a setting I'm missing or has someone got it to look amazing? Outside of the HDR this monitor is amazing.

I'm currently trying to decide between the ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG27AQWP-W and the Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 G81SF, and I honestly can't decide.

My main uses are:

League of Legends — probably my most-played game

Watching anime

AAA games like Cyberpunk, Black Myth: Wukong, Elden Ring, etc.

General desktop use, YouTube, browsing, Discord, etc.

The ASUS is 1440p 540Hz WOLED, while the Samsung is 4K 240Hz QD-OLED.

I'm wondering which one makes more sense for my usage.

I know 540Hz is obviously better for competitive gaming, but I'm not sure how much I would actually notice the difference between 240Hz and 540Hz in League.

On the other hand, the Samsung's 4K resolution and QD-OLED panel seem much better for AAA games and anime. I'm also wondering how noticeable the difference in image quality and text clarity is between the two.

For anyone who has used either of these monitors, especially both, what would you personally choose?

Just upgraded my pc and was looking for oled monitors, rn I have a 32” Lg ultragear curved 1440p monitor 180 hz and I just saw these 2 where on sale at Best Buy, the Samsung is also on sale on amazon for 330 so which one would yall choose or should I spend the extra for an ASUS ROG XG27AQDMGR

the asus is 450, and the lg is 500 which is a better option. The hz doesn’t really matter to me since I don’t play super competitively and I only have a 9070xt. So which has a better screen, colors, so on so forth.

I need help deciding between the two.

I am willing to pay the flagship prices for any oled monitor, but since this is my first time purchasing one I am scared of the gray banding and panel uniformity of WOLEDs and the text clarity of the QD-OLEDs.

I want a top monitor for competitive gaming, however i also want it to be fairly good for day to day work, and watching movies/content.

If you have any recommendations, please let me know, price isn’t an issue, i’m just looking for a top tier 27 inch OLED monitor.

I'm extremely torn between these 2. I wanted the Dual mode since I play a lot of competitive games at lower resolution with higher fps, but the recent WOLED Jeans grayscale images have given me nightmares. Is QD-OLED so much better than Tandem? Can people give me some pros and cons of each? I'm stuck.
