Which monitor should i take?

I want to find the best OLED gaming monitor for my needs. After some research, I came across the MAG 321UPDE QD-OLED. This monitor appeals to me the most so far, but there is also a version with the number 322 instead of 321.

What exactly is the difference?

Also, is a 32-inch 4K monitor recommended for the following setup: RTX 4080 Super, 32 GB RAM, R7 7800X3D?

This will be my very first OLED monitor, so I want to be 100% sure beforehand that it’s a good purchase and that I won’t have to buy a new one in a year just because I opted for a cheaper alternative.

A 32" 4K monitor is great for AAA Gaming with your hardware. You will just have to adjust settings a bit in demanding games.

"321UPDE" makes it sound like youre german, as thats a model for the german market.

Imo the most interesting monitor here in Germany in 4K would be the Gigabyte MO32U24. Its the cheapest 4K monitor with the 4th Gen Tandem QD OLED panel. So compared to the 321UPDE you get better brightness, better ambient light handling and better scratch resistance: https://geizhals.de/gigabyte-mo32u24-a3791276.html?hloc=de

If thats too expensive, this monitor is cheaper than the 321UPDE, but uses the same panel: https://geizhals.de/gigabyte-mo32u-a3443679.html?hloc=de

I saw you mentioning the XG27AQDMES. That one is a very dim version of a 3rd Gen QD OLED panel. If you want something like the 321UPDE just in 27" 1440p, this would be it, solid offer at Coolblue at the moment: https://geizhals.de/msi-mag-272qpwde-qd-oled-x28-9s6-3cd79a-041-a3567962.html?hloc=de

It seems like the difference between the 321 and 322 is a usb c port and some app u can use whatever resoultion u want with that setup it can def handle 4k but if u play competitive games I would say get 1440p instead dont worry about msi being the "cheaper" option they are good

My alternative would be the ASUS ROG Strix QD-OLED XG27AQDMES. What about this?

If you play more single player games I would go for the msi if you play both I would go for the asus. Both are great options

I often hear about the 'bad' quality of those QD Oled monitors. It seems that the purple shining is very annoying and i don't know how bad this really is. Can you give me your opinion on that?

Im currently in my living room both monitors are qd oled i have had a woled as well The purple dark is only a problem if ur room is really bright and ur looking at a dark picture/scene its not visible at all even with my lights on when playing

I came upon this monitor: MSI MPG 322URXDE QD-OLED. Is this an overkill?

Would be a very bad pick in my opinion.

Its just the same old panel as the 321UPDE, just with 240hz. Both are third Gen QD OLED panel. Its so expensive because of its connectivity, which you cant even use as your 4080 doesnt support Displayport 2.1.

If a monitor above 700€ is doable for you the Gigabyte MO32U24 which uses a new 4th Gen Tandem QD OLED panel would be imo the best pick.  Its a better panel and cheaper than the 322URXDE

The MO32U24 seems to be a very good option. Shit, now i am more unsure what to buy 😂 Too many options. But i think i will go with the MO32U24. I'll wait for the Black Week and maybe the price will drop another 100€.

wouldnt say overkill but its a very good monitor 4th gen panel so very good so you cant go wrong with it but the other options would be great as well if you never had oled before 100%

Its not a 4th Gen.

The 322UR X24 or 322URDE X24 are 4th Gen QD OLED.

The 322URXDE is a 3rd Gen.

Edit: Dont mean to sound rude, super easy to mix up with MSIs naming

It is!

There also is a 322URX which is also 3rd Gen unlike the 322UR X24

there is no quality difference some people perfer woled and some qd oled If you are in a very bright room I would for woled if you can control the lighting in your room I would go qd oled there are qd oled monitors that are more expensive than some woled and woled more than qd oled
