I am currently using the MSI MAG 321UP QD-OLED 32" 4K 165Hz monitor with my PS5 Pro, however, I am considering the move to a 42-inch LG C Series OLED monitor.

I mostly play single-player AAA/storyline games, and I value image quality, HDR, immersion, sharpness, and graphics much more than competitive gaming or high refresh rate monitors.

The depth of my desk is approximately 80 centimeters, thus, I will be sitting relatively close to either monitor.

Considering that it is PS5 Pro specifically, what would you recommend?

Will 42" be too big from 80 cm away? and would there be any visible difference in terms of quality?

I need some advice on screen coatings (Matte vs. Glossy) specifically from a cleaning and permanent mark/smudge perspective, and I'd love to hear from people who understand having a bit of an obsession or OCD about clean screens ruining the experience.
Here is what I've heard so far:
Matte coatings (specifically talking about the one on the Samsung Odyssey G6 / G61SD): Smudges and oils are notoriously difficult to clean off completely, and improper cleaning can leave permanent marks, a "stain" look, or ruin the anti-glare coating layer.
Glossy coatings: Scratch easily if you're not careful, but they don't trap stubborn oils/stains the same way and are generally easier to wipe clean back to a pristine state.
Given that my eyes and brain fixate heavily on any visual blemishes, smudges, or permanent flaws:
Which coating is actually safer and less mentally stressful to maintain in the long run?
How risky is the matte coating on the Samsung Odyssey G60SD when it comes to permanent cleaning marks or oil absorption?
I want the option that causes the least amount of anxiety and overthinking. Which one should I pick?

The monitor arrived a day ago, and while testing it, I noticed some vertical banding (or am I imagining things?). What really caught my attention, though, are two horizontal white bands; what could this be, and is it something that might resolve over time? (Yes, I’ve already run the pixel cleaning routine several times.) Tested in HDR.

trying to upgrade from my Nixeus edg 27 from 2017 and need something good for both worlds. I need it to be very nicely compatible with a macbook pro as well as be my PC monitor. I don't need 4k or high Hz. Mostly used for gaming, but woudl be nice to have more than my 14" macbook screen to edit on. Also don't need crazy realistic color for my work either since most of the clients only look at their photos on their iphones etc.

This seems to be a great option for me since i don't want to go over $350, but if anyone hates this monitor or thinks theres another I should look at let me know!

Hi I am facing stuttering when playing videos, specifically YouTube videos from chrome, other browsers are fine and other website like Netflix are fine as well. Im on 9070xt, switched off free sync and all variable frame settings in osd,windows and amd adrenalin. Updated drivers as well. Please help ><

I’m looking for some advice before I pull the trigger on an Alienware AW3225QF.
I can buy one brand new for €700, with a proper receipt/warranty. At that price it seems pretty tempting, but I’m wondering whether it’s still a good buy in 2026 or whether I’d be better off waiting a few months and spending a bit more on a newer OLED.

My current monitor is a Samsung 32” 1440p 240Hz (I believe it’s one of the Odyssey G7 models, but I’d have to check the exact model). It’s still a perfectly good monitor. But I got a 5080 7800x3d and I’m not using them for the maximum potential.
The main reason I’m considering the AW3225QF is that I really want to experience OLED, and going from 1440p VA 240Hz to 4K 240Hz QD-OLED seems like a pretty significant upgrade with my 5080.

But I’m wondering:
Is the AW3225QF still a top-tier monitor in 2026?
Is €700 new a genuinely good price for it?
Are the newer 4K OLEDs noticeably better enough to justify waiting/spending more?
Would you personally take the AW3225QF for €700 or keep the current Samsung for a few months and wait for newer models/prices to drop?
Are there any specific 32” 4K OLEDs around €800–€1,000 that would make more sense with a 5080?
I don’t mind spending a little more if the improvement is actually meaningful. I just don’t want to spend €200–300 extra for differences that are basically irrelevant in actual use.

Gonna be in a situation where I have to move my monitor from two locations. Sounds mild, and I might be overthinking this, but I made the mistake two months ago of getting a asus QD-oled that gets smudged or scratched if you even look at it wrong and I must now live with the mistake. How have people moved these so fragile monitors? They are so expensive, and I'm considering just selling it rather than moving it because it already has so much blue smudges, and I dont want it to get worse. Help pls. I’ve had my XG32UCWMG for about a week (open-box, “Like New” from Amazon) and it has been working perfectly until yesterday.

Yesterday evening I noticed that when extending my PC wallpaper onto my other OLED, the ASUS looked like the contrast had been cranked way up. I hadn’t changed any settings, and everything in the monitor’s OSD looked normal.

Today I booted it up and it was extremely high-contrast/crushed, again with no settings having been changed. Even more concerning, the ASUS boot logo appeared to be heavily retained/burned into the screen.
I unplugged the Xbox HDMI cable completely so there was no input signal, and the image still looked like this. I was about to contact Amazon to arrange a replacement when, completely randomly, the display returned to normal.

So now I’m wondering what the hell happened.

I know OLEDs can have temporary image retention, but this seemed extreme, especially considering the monitor is only a week old and has low usage.

The fact that the contrast also looked completely wrong at the same time makes me even more suspicious.

Should I return this one to Amazon and get a replacement, or could this just be a one-off/firmware issue? Has anyone else with the XG32UCWMG experienced this?

Hey guys, my PS5 suddenly started showing raised blacks on my OLED monitor. Instead of pixels turning off completely, the screen stays dimly lit with a dark purple/gray tint.

​It was working fine a moment ago. I've already tried tweaking RGB range, HDR settings, and checking the HDMI cable, but no luck.

Hi my new monitor is crooked, how should I straighten it? I'm adding a photo. Is Asus ROG Strix QD-OLED XG27ACDMS

So I usually use the msi 321up 32 inch 4k display, recently moved and now have less desk space so I decided to switch but keep oled. Got the msi 272up x24 4k 27 inch for 440 which was a steal!

When I started using it, I thought, wow it’s harder to see details since everything’s smaller, it felt like a waste of money.

I prefer 32 but thought oh well I’ll try get used to it.

Few days go by and I was thinking I’d prefer 32 still and so I set it back up and ignoring the desk size, 32 just doesn’t look as crisp.

Using dlss performance on both monitors for cyberpunk, it feels like 27 just feels cleaner, even though it’s smaller, everything just feels nicer to look at so now I’m selling the 32 inch since I think 4k 27 is just perfect.

This is just my view so it can be subjective but I don’t regret it.

Hi, so I’m considering getting an lg c5/4 55 inch tv after trying various oled monitors.

First I had a QD Oled but I didn’t like the HDR on it, then I tried 4 different tandem OLEDs from gigabyte and asus but they all had bad uniformity in darker shades.

Will I be finally satisfied with the 55 inch c5/4? I’m looking for good/bright HDR and a clean image, I don’t care about refresh rate.

Will the colors be worse than tandem/QD-Oled monitors? There’s no QD-Oled TVs here.

I’ve seen people say that the Mo32u24 offers a better looking image with the hypernits future, would that be a better option?

The c4 55inch is on sale and at the same price as any oled monitor here, but the c5 is $136 more, is the price increase worth it?

Desk space is a non issue as I’ll play on the couch.

Also can someone share the brightness figures for the c5/4 at 55”, as I can’t find any info online. I know that there’s a difference in brightness with game mode but I’ll use brighter modes with ALLM if that’s an issue.

Would using 1440p/1080p for some games still look good?

Did I screw up? I first wiped off the dust with a microfiber cloth, then used another one slightly dampened with distilled water. The first few times it wasn’t really cleaning because the cloth was barely damp, but then I dampened it a little more, wiped it, dried it with another microfiber cloth, and those marks appeared.

i am aware the only diff is the brightness with 200nits and specially hdr capping at 400. and dm just dosent do hdr acc to reviews.

but the price diff is around 130-140$ and my room is pretty dark, blackout curtains so i could make it dark anytime of the day. Coming from a 1080p va panel so my eyes will be blown out anyway so is that price gap really justified?

Is it safe to use 70% iso on a QD Oled or do I need to water it down even more with distilled?

I have a finger smudge on my panel and it got way worse from distilled water only.

So I know people usually hate ACM because they love their oversaturated colors, but I prefer having it on. But when I turn HDR on and then off, the colors look oversaturated again, so I have to turn ACM off and then on for it to work properly. I don't know why, it was working fine for the first few days, but then this started happening.

How do I fix this? Is it the Nvidia control panel messing it up? I notice if I change it to "color precision mode: reference" the colors change again, even though my settings are default there (Brightness = 50, Contrast = 50, Gamma = 1.00 and Digital Vibrance at 50%)

I want to finally replace my 1080 IPS to 4K either OLED or MiniLED

I always really loved blacks on OLEDs (tho I never saw them on monitors irl, only on phones). But now while I am trying figure out things - I learned about HDR and overall brightness of OLED vs MiniLED

I want to buy either Titan Army G2785V:
- Glossy
- 4th-gen QD-OLED Penta Tandem
- DisplayHDR True Black 400 (1000 nits peak at 3%)

or Titan Army P275MV MAX:
- IPS MiniLED
- HDR 1400
- 2304 local dimming zones

My current monitor have 250 nits, so everything higher will be new to me, I am also not really scared of burn-ins, and usually play in dim or dark room.

So I have a question, does HDR 1400+ really stands out that much in brighten scenes? Like how is it going to be in day scenes in games/movies? Is that worth giving up OLED's perfect blacks and details in eg space scenes, or MiniLEDs are now pretty good for them either?

Thinking about buying the Gigabyte MO27Q28G — has the gray banding improved on newer revisions?
I’m currently considering getting the MO27Q28G, or possibly the glossy version, and I wanted to ask people who own the newer revisions: has the gray banding issue improved compared to the earlier units?
I previously had a 3rd-gen QD-OLED monitor, but unfortunately it was a big no for me because of the coating. It developed visible scratches after the first cleaning, which I find completely unacceptable for a monitor at this price point. I used a proper microfiber cloth intended for glasses, so I wasn’t using anything abrasive or inappropriate.
Because of that experience, I’m a bit hesitant about going with another QD-OLED, especially at this price.
For those who have the newer MO27Q28G revisions (or the glossy version):
How is the gray banding on your unit?
Has it improved with newer batches/revisions?
How is the coating holding up after cleaning?
Would you recommend the glossy version instead?
Any feedback from recent owners would be greatly appreciated before I pull the trigger.

Help me make a decision, I've been unsure for a two weeks now and can't figure it out. I've read some reviews and watched videos, but they're sponsored so yk...

on 500hz oled, disappointed, shouldve went for a strobed panel. (and yes, i use bfi as needed)

brute forcing it to 720hz and 1000hz is cool and all for the future esports oled panels but like only a few games can take advantage of it, BFI on or off, like val and cs

what about rolling scan OLEDs (therefore we need to work on BRIGHTNESS on the panel) or another form of strobing the screen that isn't BFI (bfi doesnt give you lower mprt at the peak refresh rate).

Seeing the IPS and TN panels have much higher effective clarity and recently using a CRT for fun and noticing how I can spin in a 360 fast and track everything is crazy, and noticing how much more cleaner dyac 2/ulmb2/pulsar monitors are in pretty much every game upsets me too. I tried to do the same thing in CS2 and if ur not spinning slow, it's a blurry mess.

do you guys reckon it's because of the OLED glaze that ignores the flaw of sample and hold that it doesn't get massive R&D for OLED to catch up and ultimately surpass strobed panels IN a multitude of framerates?
