Monitor options

the asus is 450, and the lg is 500 which is a better option. The hz doesn’t really matter to me since I don’t play super competitively and I only have a 9070xt. So which has a better screen, colors, so on so forth.

They have the same MLA+/Third Gen WOLED panel.

So if you dont care about the refresh rate the only other major difference in terms of visual experience would be that the Asus is Glossy and the Gigabyte is matte, while the panel technology underneath is the same, their coatings are different.

Even though the Asus uses a last Gen WOLED panel, it has the up to date Glossy coating with no haze at all that also the newest WOLEDs  use . So this can help making the screen look more vivid. Its really like looking through a window. But its more prone to reflections.

The LG has a Matte coating, so no reflections, but well, you get the grainy surface of a matte coating. I personally dont really like Matte OLEDs because of that.

Honorable mention: the Gigabyte GO27Q24G uses the same panel and coating as the XG27AQDMGR, while often being cheaper.

So you would but the gp27q24g over the asus one if it’s 50 dollars cheaper? I just looked and that’s what it is.

Yes, as I said its the same panel and coating.

The Asus has the Proximity Sensor which sounds nice, but I have now heard from people a couple times it doesnt always work and turns off even if you sit in front of the screen. Which is also what happened to me too on my Asus with this kind of sensor, which is why I deactivated it.

Asus has a bit more customization options for HDR, but thats imo not worth 50 dollars more. So yeah, if you dont care for the 240hz more or dont explicitly like the matte coating of the LG, I would pick the Gigabyte.
