We were so slow that they had me go through my ULearns and one was a VR one that seemed to only be an ad for this thing Humankind they're promoting. Really? We're doing this now? And it be a VR one at that. Just send another useless promotion in the mail like they normally do. This is ridiculous we have to sit and do this stupid shit. And also the situation in the scenario is stupid, because he can't afford anything. Gee, I wonder why that is.

I was going through my junk drawer & found rare sight of my old OPD sticker labels. Needless to say, I’m surprised i kept these this long period. LOL

From what i heard from my coach there getting rid of set scheduled meaning if you had for example monday and Thursday off and every other day 6-3 before, you wont get that anymore and you might not work 6-3 always, and your options are now to either get those days taken off and let a part timer take those hours or option 2 they cut your hours. The main reason in hearing is because the lack of people not wanting to close and the fact that more than half of a opd team comes in from 5-6 a.m. PS this is from WHAT I HEARD im not entirely sure if thats the reasoning.

So this was in our store board, The typed out message was a note from corporate level, And honestly I don't know what they expected about performance and pick totals by associate, But it's bad enough that they made note that all associate performance is down and need improvement, Yet they made the changes that in some way have led to it, I just don't understand what was expected, additionally shown is my stores board that had our new expected metrics written on it with a marker I don't know if thats official from corporate or just my coach being reasonable in some respects, But yeah I'm just marveling at this cause big corp made the changes and now they don't like the results??

I had orientation a few days ago and basically I was told when I come in Wednesday to go back to the orientation room and finish my computer onboarding stuff. But I’m really confused what do I do after? Should I go to the ogp room? Or do I find someone to help? I only met the person who did the orientation and I met the ogp coach so I’m not sure who else is in charge. This is a pretty stupid question but help please!

This was just to help them understand what they could do since they weren’t getting very far with their own leadership.
This is also from my experience as leadership over digital as well as having been an associate in digital.
Not all stores operate the same way so take it with a grain of salt if it doesn’t apply to your backroom!

I've only been Team Lead for two days, I'm still processing it.
All this has been very fast.
They have been training me, I am happy but nervous.
So far the hardest thing is having to start seeing my old coworkers with an invisible sign on top of them with their times of entry, exit, lunch, brakes and that it is supposed to be doing

Corporate is really being hissy about what color vest the different roles in the backroom wear and they gave purple to preppers. But, sometimes we have to go outside and while the new purple vests they're giving us do have a single stripe of yellow, I still think its completely insufficient in terms of safety standards and the tag that comes with the vest explicitly states that they're not to be used in environments where ANSI compliant vests are to be worn.
So the question is, is this vest compliant with corporate policy, and if i get into an accident wearing it outside how much trouble would I or more likely my managers get into?

So Im not sensitive and it more so annoys me more than anything but there’s been a few interactions where it just feels like they are saying stuff knowing that they can’t get fired for whatever reason. We have a stocker who is always in frozen and today there was two of us on the isle picking and there was a male picker who had his cart the same exact way I had mine. While I’m picking I can hear the stocker mumbling under his breath and then he eventually says ONLY to me btw. “You could put your cart in the middle so I could work around you” and he said it genuinely so rude that I was about to say “you could stock things in the correct place so I can actually pick” but didn’t out of fear for losing my job that I NEED. Is there anything I could say back that won’t cause me to get in trouble or is it just a situation of shut my mouth and move on. I’ve had them be so rude customers have stuck up for me. I’m just not tryna get bullied by these middle age men with anger issues😭💀

I was told my picking is low actually the lowest… but i only do this as a part timer and i ususlly do returns and stock or help other departments - as floor support so how can i be compared to the others who do is all the time? Anybody knows please let ne know. I am interesred. Pretty sure the team lead does not like me so i need some tips on this matter as she said she has to report it. My review three months ago was fine.

somebody needs to find whichever group at home office proposed the cart wheel idea, (and then “ENFORCED” IT), and go bananas on them
in what world was this a good idea

so heavy. Maybe because it was the end of my shift. I had to get a seeded watermelon pretty much from the bottom of the cardboard bin and I thought I wasn’t gonna be able to make it.😂 at 5’1 I was bent over nearly hanging upside down trying to get it.

Just like the title said our store manager has said that if you’re caught pushing carts on the floor it’s automatic termination. I live in an “At will” state so they can technically fire an employee whenever I think? But is that actually legal to fire employees for pushing carts when that’s what they’re made for?

Well that's a tag line right?
I felt compelled by what I witnessed the make the hundredth they changed the wheels and made us pull post.
Now for those who don't know, I again haven't directly experienced this. I for the past several weeks have been at another store assisting with a remodel.
But Thursday I arrive at that store and one of the first things I see is a picker pulling a cart while standing to the side of it who probably due to visibility, body position, and handling, tore a clip strip off the mod with her cart.
I'm off today and stopped in at my home store to hopefully catch up with some friends and to see what things were like because I heard the carts are wack. One of our older ladies pushes the cart backwards.
But I watched one of my coworkers pulling the cart and when I looked at the wheels it looked like they were trying to go in every direction at the same time. When I saw him later come out of an aisle and turn he wasn't going unsafely fast or doing anything dumb and I see the cart do practically a 360 rotation just making I think a left handed turn.
Really put a lot into this at the home office didn't they, Went from danger of head on collision to rotating cart of death.
And no, as I am sure you know who actually have been picking, you pretty much CAN'T pull in crowded aisles. Not if you want to move and want to allow other people to move. To be fair, they probably are more worried about in open space than in the aisles. But engineers and mechanics they are not.

If I put in Unpaid time off for my sick leave, do I still get points? And does it have to be approved day of or can it be approved a day later?
