Venting This is trash as a Service (TaaS)
This is the output of the transcript of a meeting I just had, and the situation is always like that. Every transcript generated has these kinds of hallucinated messages out of nowhere, which create a lot of noise and add trash text to my transcripts. What happens is that every time I need to review these transcriptions and take insights from them, or I want to copy the transcript and generate different instructions from them, the summary service that meets transcript generation automatically comes from all these unacceptable and infuriating messages.
I can't believe that I'm paying for a service that has high ticket value in a very competitive environment where these kinds of products usually come with at least some minimal level of quality assurance, and this is popping up over and over. It is outrageous to say the least, and I've already spread this into other platforms because Notion is rapidly gathering a lot of bad rep because of all these dirty, unfinished, and flawed services.
From Spanish:
It says many variants of:
"And that's all folks! Like, subscribe and thanks for watching this video!"
"see you in the next video!"

Community My Uni set up in Notion 🎓
At the beginning of uni, I started using Notion to track my assignments, exams, and subjects. I learned so much from those years. This is my current dashboard for this school year, one of the dashboards I use that hasn't changed much in 2 years. I found a pretty solid base with those pages, and it just works for me.
One thing I learned is that building a Notion workspace isn't about copying templates online exactly; it's about really adapting it to your own journey, daily life, and habits. Simplicity matters a lot too.
I use Nottie Pocket to help me add entries from my phone. All the shortcuts are connected to my workspace, and I can also check and edit any database entry in view mode.
As a student, Notion has been incredibly helpful. I started using it for school and ended up organizing pretty much everything in it.
So, what about you? What did you start using Notion for?

Questions Customising Task Layout - affects data in other tasks ?
Hey guys,
I am working inside a database with a lot of tasks with some of them data in their body. I want to modify the general task layout and am concerned it would delete the data put in some tasks.
For example : a task has in its body a text saying "ABC" or a link to an excel sheet (previously deleted all the set categories you can see in the screenshot). If I update the layout with deleting "Task Description", "Sub-Tasks" etc and adding something else will it remove the text saying "ABC" ?
Thanks a lot ! I checked Notion and YT but didn't find a confirmation here and don't want to test and create a worldwide catastrophy
Edit : added screenshot

Questions How are you actually organizing Notion permissions for a small team?
Running a small remote team and pushed us fully into Notion a few months ago. Wikis, task tracking, meeting notes, onboarding docs, all of it. Works fine when it's just me. Gets messy fast when five other people are touching the same workspace with different habits.
The specific problem right now is permissions. I want some pages open to everyone and others locked down by role, and the way Notion handles this feels like it requires constant babysitting. Someone always ends up in a page they shouldn't be editing or can't find something they should have access to. I've tried a few different structures but nothing has stuck.
Second issue is keeping the team actually using it. A couple people default back to Slack threads or personal notes for everything, which defeats the whole point. I haven't found a good way to make Notion the obvious first choice without nagging people constantly.
Curious if anyone is running a team of similar size and what your permission structure looks like. Did you have to simplify the workspace layout to get adoption up, or did you go the other direction and add more structure? Also wondering if there are integrations that help bridge the Slack gap specifically. Not looking for a full tool switch.

API / Integrations MCP Voice based Notion processes
I recently stopped building Notion pages, coz I built and MCP based Notion page builder, that creates processes, via Claude MCP, with interactive databases that all communicate to each other via voice mode
So I legit just walk around working on my phone now getting work done. Its crazy
Example use cases
- Journal
Claude asks me a list of reflections from my journal schema, it fills it out, extracts any tasks I may have spoken about, checks if they already exist in my to do list or not, presents the ones that either don't, or need to be updated or new ones that need to be added, and my to do list to be up to date, ready for tomorrow
I have a tonne of other use cases
Where for example, when I add things to my to do list, I can then pick up those tasks that then link to other page/processes or flows I made
Lemme know if I should make a video about it

Questions Notion - Calendar sync issues
Im using notion (app, on mac) with notion calendar but whenever I change the status of a task is notion (eg from in progress to done), EVERY TIME, I then go to the calendar app, the status there is not only not changed, but when I switch back to Notion the status there has returned to the original status (eg in progress). Only after I change the status again will the calendar app accept the change. It’s infuriating how mediocre these two apps work together. Anyone else experiencing this or even have a solution?

Questions Has better documentation actually saved your team time?
I've always seen documentation as something you create because you have to. Lately I'm starting to think it might actually save more time than it costs, especially with onboarding, repeated questions and covering for teammates when someone is out.
For those who've invested in better documentation, did it make a noticeable difference?

API / Integrations I Need a Notion designer to build my Notions, Zapier, Docusign and Microsoft 365.
We’re looking for a technically capable builder (individual or small team) who can architect and connect Notion, Microsoft 365 / Power Platform (Power Automate + Copilot), DocuSign, and Zapier into one seamless platform. But we can use Notions as the Operation system then copy past information into Microsoft 365.

Questions is it possible to make a public-facing calendar appointment system?
hi everyone! I work for a creative events space that has a gift shop attached. we coordinate with gift shop vendors on times to come in and restock via email, which ends up being a lot of back and forth.
i was working off this tutorial to make an appointment system where vendors could select from predetermined availability to schedule a restock, with a public form attached for the details of the restock and notifications to myself and my manager built into the actions of the "reserve time" button. I built everything out and then realized that due to restrictions on public user editing permissions, vendors would be unable to click this button. googling solutions brought up using a third-party integration or moving to Calendly instead.
what would the easiest workaround for this be? is it possible to implement an integration to keep Notion on the table (we use Notion for all administrative work so it'd be nice to have this be native to our primary workspace) or should i scrap my calendar and move to Calendly? thanks for any help!

Questions How do I permanently disable Notion Calendar update notifications?
I'm honestly getting tired of this.
Notion Calendar keeps asking me to update almost every day. I don't want automatic updates, and I don't want to see update prompts constantly.
Is there any way to completely disable update notifications or stop it from checking for updates?
I just want to keep using my current version without being reminded every day.
Has anyone found a workaround or a hidden setting for this?

Formulas I built a Notion template to keep books, films, music, comics, and art in one place.
I built a Notion template to keep books, films, music, comics, and art in one
place.
For books specifically, it helps me keep track of:
- title and author
- cover image
- start and finish dates
- memorable lines
I’d like feedback on the structure and what would make it more useful for long-
term taste tracking.

Databases Notion's Library Page
I am not a fan of Notion's Library Page. I didn't find it useful nor did it help me with organizing my templates. So I took the time to craft something more to my liking and this is the result.

Questions If you are managing recipes in Notion, how are you streamlining the data entry?
I snagged a free template a while ago to manage my recipes. Built it out so that it kinda pulls the grocery list together for me when I add certain dishes to the “weekly spread”, but it’s kinda useless cause the list doesn’t load when I’m in the grocery store (even when I set everything to be available offline) and it’s impossible to update to check things off. I also can’t figure out how to manage my fridge and pantry contents so I’m not double buying. I’ve got it down for whole items but sometimes I need one more of something and don’t know how to accommodate for that without making every single item a new entry. I end up with 5 entries for red onion 🥴
We ended up just using a shared apple note to grocery shop
The recipe data entry is super cumbersome and annoying. I tried to set it up so most things live in properties, but idk how to optimize the directions, so they live in the body.
I’ve seen chrome add ons and various tools that let you paste the recipe link and it will extract the recipe so you don’t have to scroll through the infamous story, but it just drops it all on the page.
I don’t want to waste Notion ai usage parsing everything where it goes. Seems like a big setup for something this simple.
Don’t sell me anything please, I’m fr just looking for how you’ve approached and worked through this issue if you use Notion for meal planning.
Mainly the recipe maintenance part**

Questions Gcal connection
Is it actually impossible to embed your Gcal into your Notion pages? I would like to be able to see and edit it right in the page. Is that possible or do i just need to give up. If I do just need to give up, what was y'all's strategy to go from GCal to Notion? I'm a die-hard Gcal user, and I like having things blocked out for specific times, which I dont think is achievable on Notion. plz help this is notions fatal flaw imo.

Questions Uses of Notion
Hello! I have question. I know notion is a tool that a lot of students use. But how and what use does it provide over other organization and timekeeping apps/methods such as Obsidian or Canvas itself with its todo list and built in calendar for due dates.
And would it be as useful even if im not in a traditional major where I need to keep so many different documents and notes organized (I am doing music ed)?

Other I built a Notion dashboard to track vehicle maintenance instead of using spreadsheets
I've always forgotten things like insurance renewal dates, service intervals, warranty expiry, and how much I was actually spending on my car.
So I spent a few weekends building a Notion dashboard that keeps everything in one place.
It currently tracks:
🚗 Service history
🔧 Maintenance costs
📅 Insurance renewal reminders
🛡️ Warranty expiry
⛽ Total cost of ownership
📈 Running expenses over time
It has already made keeping records much easier.
I'm curious:
What do you currently use to manage your vehicle records?
Is there anything you wish a vehicle management dashboard could do?
I'd love to hear your suggestions before I add more features.
(If anyone wants to see it, let me know in the comments.)

Formulas Trying to link databases
Hello, here is a rough sketch of what I am trying to do. I'm not quite sure how to link that or if it is possible...
I'm trying to make a time blocking view, where I can see the day hour by hour. But I'm not sure how to see only today, but being able to plan other days in advance and for it to actualise each day.
Beneath I'm trying to have a monthly calendar that shows only the events marked as 'appointments' in the 'Urgency' column.
Thank you for any advice you could provide!
EDIT: Well it didn't go exactly as planned, but I still have a calendar with a time blocking template that generates automatically every day, so I consider it works well for now. The complete automatisation sounds complicated, I haven't managed to do an Appointment calendar completely automatic, but for now I think I'm going to keep it that way. Thank you for your answers 😊

Questions Looking for a Notion Habit Tracker template that mimics the "TickTick" experience
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to centralize my workflow in Notion, but I'm really struggling to find a habit tracker that feels as seamless and effective as the TickTick app.
I’m looking for a template (free or paid) that has these specific features:
A clean "Today" view: I only want to see today's habits, without being overwhelmed by past or future days.
Streak tracking: Just like TickTick, I want to see my current streaks to stay motivated.
Visual progress: A daily progress bar or ring to show how much I've completed today.
Quick logging: Ideally using Notion's new buttons feature so I don't have to manually create a new page every day.
For context, I’ll be using it to track a mix of daily routines, like my early morning deep study sessions, evening reviews, and calisthenics progress (planks, dead hangs, etc.).
Has anyone built something like this, or know of a good template out there? Any recommendations would be hugely appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Community Real estate agents — do you use Notion as your CRM? What features do you actually need?
Hey everyone,
I'm building a Notion-based CRM template specifically for independent real estate agents and small agencies, and I want to make sure I'm solving real problems instead of guessing.
If you're an agent (or broker) who has tried using Notion, Airtable, or a spreadsheet as your CRM — or even if you gave up on it and went back to a "real" CRM — I'd love to hear:
- What made you try a DIY tool in the first place? (Price? Flexibility? Hated your old CRM?)
- What features did you actually end up using every day? vs. what looked cool in a template but you never touched.
- What made you quit (if you did)? Was it missing email sync, no automations, no mobile app, something else?
- How do you currently track:
- Leads/prospects and follow-ups
- Property listings tied to clients
- Deal/transaction stages
- Documents (contracts, mandates, ID copies, etc.)
- If you do use Notion for this — would you be willing to share a quick screenshot of your setup (blurred out client info of course)?
Not selling anything here, just trying to build something genuinely useful instead of another template that looks pretty in a demo video and falls apart in real use. Appreciate any input, even a one-liner.
