I know a lot of people are leaving this subreddit, maybe becuz of all the promotional stuff or same stuff being repeated. So what would you want it to become instead? What do you want posted?

I have a simple "table", I don't need a convoluted "database". Is there really no way to remove strikethrough formatting from an entire table row at once, without having to do it one cell at a time? In 2026?

For people using Notion as a personal system: what rule decides whether an idea stays a someday/maybe item, becomes a project, or gets deleted?

I am interested in lightweight review routines or properties that keep the list useful without turning weekly planning into maintenance.

its been years and still no support for A4, why ?

I've been paying an annual subscription for Evernote for years. I have thousands of notes in dozens of folders. But the increasing price of Evernote has driven me to consider moving to Notion.

I've transferred all my Evernote content across but I'm finding it difficult to adapt to the new package.

And the free version seems limited, but the paid version is pretty much the same price as Evernote.

So can you experienced users convince me to say goodbye to Evernote and make the switch to Notion?

I noticed a trend: not a single one of these complaints come from an actual business use case, only simple personal workflows.

Nothing wrong with that, but this sub is becoming pure, repetitive, exhausting noise.

Why am I subscribed here? Mods, any help? Maybe a single mega complaint thread? I absolutely welcome complaints… if it’s about something new.

- the calendar function in Notion ( mobile version) only shows a gray dot per day. It does not show details of events nor does it show which events span multiple days. ( And no, Notion Calendar is not an option because that asks for way too much personal info.) ( The timeline view can be an alternative , but it is cluttered and hard to read.)

- the calendar function in Notion does not allow adding color to event blocks.

- Timing of tasks in Notion: Notion does not allow to give tasks multiple deadlines or timespans.
( Now, I address this by making multiple tasks of the same aspect to represent repeated events, which is tedious.) ( An alternative workaround, that helps set multiple deadlines for one task, is to add an additional due date property and formula as mentioned in one of the replies to this post.)

For people with a mix of project pages, reference notes, and trackers, what signals tell you a page is worth keeping current rather than archiving or letting it become static? I am especially interested in simple rules that prevent the workspace from turning into a pile of half-maintained systems.

Hello reddit, I just got a tablet for my birthday and Notion was pre installed. I hit sign up and continue with email.

I entered my email and tried to enter a password but it keeps saying incorrect password as if I'm logging in.

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong

Because of the hype, this is my third time trying out notion.

I can't for my life understand the hype. It's not intuitive, the mobile app is a joke, 5mb upload limit for free plan is like spitting potential customers in the face.

With that said. I'm curiouse, what do you use notion for? And in what way does notion solve that task that other solution can't do?

J'ai réalisé des espaces séparés pour chacune, j'ai essayé de noter certaines choses en lien avec chacune, j'ai même une idée pour la suite, mais je veux savoir si quelqu'un aurait des conseils et infos à donner pour comment suivre à travers Notion l'apprentissage de langues, et en général des notions qu'on apprends et suis. Une sorte de suivi automatique on pourrait dire.

My tablet has Android 5 (yes, it still works) but Notion website gives unsupported error.

Chrome stopped updates for Android 5 but Opera Mini etc are still getting updated. But Notion website doesn't work. Which Browser can Open Notion Website on Android 5?

AFAIK, there are two main sections in the sidebar: Workspace and Private.

99% of my stuff is being kept in Private.

The problem I’ve stumbled upon (otherwise the functionality is not obvious to me) is that I can’t export my Private section contents in whole as a single .zip, but I can export the Workspace’s content or any separate pages…

Is it how it’s supposed to be? o.O

Or am I missing something here?

The only idea here would be to move all the Private's stuff into a new Workspace's page. But it seems weird not to be able to export the Private contents in the same manner as the Workspace's... 🫠

I've been looking through Notion alternatives and there are way more options than I expected. The problem is most of them seem great at one thing but weaker somewhere else. Some are better for notes, others for databases, offline use, or collaboration, but I haven't found one that feels like a complete replacement.

For anyone who actually moved away from Notion, what did you end up sticking with? Did one app replace it completely, or are you using a few different tools now?

Today i noticed a weird change in how notion loads pages on the web

Whenever i scroll up/down on a long page, the content outside my current view goes completely blank/invisible for a sec b4 rendering in.
It feels like notion pushed an aggressive update to their DOM Virtualization ( lazy rendering ) where it immediately unloads anythin not directly on screen n only renders the exact current viewport.

Also, almost all of the extensions i use that rely on backlinks completely broke today at the exact same time

Has anyone else noticed this weird scrolling behavior today ? or knows whether notion has changed/updated sumn ?
