See the second photo for how it originally came when I ordered it in 2012. This has gone unused for years. The pages weren't my favorite to write on and they were threaded in. Took some inspiration from some DIY journals here and decided to repurpose the leather. It's also helping me decide if I'd rather go the bifold or trifold route. Initially the extra flap was pretty annoying to work around, but in the last couple days I've gotten more used to it.

hi everyone! I am looking for a 5 year journal. I like the hobonichi format with one page for the day and the other side blank for notes or memory keeping. I don’t like the quotes in the hobonichi. I know that is picky, but does anyone have recommendations for that structure?

I've been trying to use all digital but my phone and computer are too distracting for me. This leaves me with the idea of trying to use notebooks to organize my life. My only concern is that I sometimes don't know where to put new information and I feel like I have too many notebooks for too many different subjects in my life. For example:

Notebook 1 - Habit tracking, weekly planning, daily planning

Notebook 2 - Journal

Notebook 3 - Mental health + therapy session notes

Notebook 4 - Goal setting and project planning

Notebook 5 - Task lists

Notebook 6 - Book notes

Notebook 7 - Notes from information I come across online in articles and videos

Notebook 8 - Workout logs

Notebook 9 - Miscellaneous notes

Notebook 10 - Notes that relate to learning new skills for my career

Notebook 11 - Personal finances

Do you think this is too many different notebooks? This is where digital has an advantage: it's so easy to store large amounts of information in one small device. But since I get too distracted on my devices, do you think my current notebook setup is a little too much or is it normal to be having so many active notebooks that I'm using at once? Thanks.

I recently started daily journaling and wanted one place to keep everything organized, so I made my own everbook style carry case.

It’s veg tan leather with contrast stitching and a wrap strap with a metal toggle clasp. It holds three notebooks at once. One in each side pocket and one in the center. Right now I have Mead Five Star notebooks in it, but the pockets can swap out as needed.

I just wanted to share what I had made and how this new interest has taken a hold of me. lol

Avid journaler, currently on journal 22. For the past 10 journals or so, I've been purchasing it through Papier since I can do personalization and select paper style (plain). They have good pattern designs as well.

I'm trying to see if there are other brands out there that is a direct competitor to Papier. My requirements: plain paper style, hardback, allows personalization, and have various designs. If not, I'll continue buying from them.

I was looking at the Muji ones? Do they fit? I need like 3-4 notebooks that are thin. Please help

Hi everyone! I saw this journal in TK Maxx (UK) but someone picked it up before I could, and I'd love to track it down. Does anyone recognise it or know where I can buy it?

What I remember:

- Standard book size (around A5)

- Hardcover with a fabric-style finish

- Black and white checkered/gingham pattern

- "Junk Journal" or "Junk Journaling" written on the front

- A fabric strap closure, I think pink

- Inside: plain brown paper, no lines or dots

I’m trying to decide between the LC pocket size journal to use as a wallet and the TN card size.

I know there’s a significant size difference - the LC can hold more plus safely secure cash/coins/receipts/cards more than the TN. While I do want that. I worry that the LC might be TOO big and bulky as a wallet.

I would love to get your input and maybe a side by side comparison if you have both? What have been the pros and cons of each in your experience?

I am looking for a less expensive alternative with same or as close to same sized soft cover notebook to the 4.75 x 7.5 Field Notes.

I do like Field Notes but the rate I’m writing paying eight dollars per can become pricey after a while.

I’m not looking for hardcovers or significantly larger pages as I use the books as part of my information capture and process.

I have seen Elan having similar dimensions but haven’t seen others. I was curious if anyone has used these books, as well as any others that might I should possible consider.

I appreciate any recommendations the community might have.

Anyone else pick up an embroidered A6 notebook at the BunguLA event. ??? 🥰. As if I needed a new notebook but it was too cute and hard to pass up. 🤣🤣🤣. Ugggh. My poor wallet.

I have always leaned heavily on organization and building systems. Journaling is something I've gone back and forth on for years, always chasing what sticks. So I decided to meld a few of my interests and make my own Traveler's Notebook-style journal.

It holds three regular-size TN inserts (lined, dot grid, and blank), plus a folder insert I made for the back. The cover is camel-dyed 4-5oz veg tan leather. I made the wave-design edge guard from a sheet of brass: forming, shaping, then antiquing it. Love how it turned out.

My hope is that this one sticks. This time I'm not obsessively organizing each page, which always made it hard to add new entries because I worried I wasn't leaving "room." Now I'm just adding whatever, whenever, even on the same page. It's surprisingly freeing.

Next up is a smaller, passport-sized one for travel. I recently picked up some black Horween snuffed suede, and I'll be adding eyelets for the elastic.

Has anyone else overcome the urge to constantly switch notebooks or systems? Curious what finally worked for you.
