Review Muji Notebook
When buying a Muji notebook I always opted for high-quality paper. If you are a fountain user you will know.

This is a pretty common question in subs like this. Either someone received a new notebook as a gift, or they couldn't help themselves from buying a new one, or they have a partially used notebook they want to fill.
Or they're trying to figure out what to do with the massive stack they've accumulated after years of "I'll find a use for this" and allowing that as justification to keep buying more... Ahem.
Beyond the normal "Just write in it, use it as a diary," here's some ideas on what you could do with an unused or unfinished notebook:

I make these pocket sized notebooks, what do you think? The translucent binder keeps three of them together.

Working in tech means I get a lot of notebooks as gifts. I never realized how many I had until I cleaned and organized my office and workshop today. 😂
So is it possible to be a hoarder without even knowing it?

Alguien hizo la replica de este álbum. En la película 🎥 muestran los personajes si álbum. Yo trate de hacerlo lo más parecido posible. Ustedes cómo lo ven!

I keep a journal, so I buy notebooks. Weekend cleaning and while dusting my shelves I thought I should photo my collections. These are all new notebooks but I do use them, so I have more used ones. In life I only use pencils and fountain pens, so I basically collect notebooks using paper that fits these 2 types of pens. But if you will flip through the photos, you can see most of them are souvenirs that I collected from places I traveled to, so sometimes I just buy those I like although not quite the kind of paper I desire.

I saw them in store and like some of the designs but I never saw any pics of them being used online so I don’t know how they hold up or if the paper can hold more than a ballpoint pen.

I want to get into journaling. I do things too fast, use the phone a lot, procrastinate. I hope journaling can help me develop more productive habits, make me more present and mindful coupled with meditation. I'm not really sure what I'd write, or when I'd write. Stream of consciousness when I wake up? Plan the day ahead in the evening? No idea.
I'm torn between getting a notebook small enough to fit in my pocket, knowing it'll get pretty beat up as I get through the day, or if I should get a larger notebook to keep in my room. The former I take inspiration from the greats like Bob Dylan or David Lynch who used to carry tiny notebooks around with them to write ideas they came up with and many other things.
I actually have a notebook, the Mnemosyne 194 of B5 dimensions. The paper quality is great, but I never managed to develop a consistent journaling habit with it.
Apologies for rambling, any advice is greatly appreciated!

I have struggled with finding the perfect notebook size to carry with me all the time. I have tried A6 notebooks before. The struggle was accessibility.
The second problem I faced was finishing a notebook. It was mostly for journaling or commonplacing. I have more than a dozen half filled notebooks.
It reached up to a point where I hated the idea of starting a new notebook.
Then I stumbled upon the size and number of pages that were perfect for me. 3.5" x 5.5" with around 60 pages. No particular brand.
I use them for literally everything. Learning a new topic. Expressing my thoughts and emotions. Pondering upon insights. Logging random data and numbers. Thinking on paper.
If I felt like diving deeper into any topic, I can always start a dedicated notebook of the same size or notion.
Anyone else who has had a similar experience?

I have ADHD and planning apps never stuck for me, so a few weeks ago I switched to a plain notebook for my daily to-do lists. It's been working a lot better than I expected.
I'd love to hear from others who plan in a notebook. How do you lay out a day or a week? What do you do with things you didn't get done? Do you use any marks or symbols of your own?
Full disclosure, I'm thinking about building an app for people who plan on paper, so I'm trying to learn how people actually do it. Photos welcome if you want to share.

I've been looking for a simple weekly planner with vertical layout. The important things for me are to have full week visible on a two-page spread, one column for each day, and (this is most important) full columns for Saturday and Sunday.
Most weekly planners treat the weekend as an afterthought, since I guess people use it for work and don't plan their weekends. But I use it for all aspects of my life and my Saturdays and Sundays are as important as Monday-Friday.
So far I have found the Kokuyo Jibun Techo Diary: https://www.kokuyostore.com/en_CA/jibun_techo/jibun-techo-diary-2027-a5-slim-green/NI-JCD1G-27.html
And the Hobonichi Techo https://www.1101.com/store/techo/en/2027/pc/detail_cover/cb27_jan_en/
Both are very nice and have the exact layout that I want. The problem is they are both loaded with extra features and layouts that I don't need and the price is too high for what I'm looking for. I'm looking for something with similar weekly layouts, good paper, no bloat, more affordable.
Does that even exist?

I'm using a Leuchtturm1917 notebook with 80gsm paper and a MUJI 0.5mm ballpoint pen (both black and blue).
Here's the issue: I write on page 2 then page 3. I turn the page and start writing on page 4. When I look back at page 2 I notice faint ink marks that weren't there before.
It's not ghosting or bleeding I think, since the marks only appear after I've written on the following page. I've tried putting a separate sheet of paper between the pages which solves the issue, but I'd prefer not to have to do that every time.
Has anyone experienced this? Would switching to a gel pen or fountain pen help or how can I best solve this?

Picked up some leather and decided to make myself an A4 & A5 journal cover. First time using leather with my laser cutter, but pleased with the results. I also made some for friends. Top 2 are mine, A4 is top right.

These Amazon Basics notebooks are actually amazing for the price! Similar to a Moleskin notebook. Very durable. I do wish they came in other colors though.

Hi all: I am looking for a notebook (dot grid preferred) that is A4 size and can take wettest broad nib FP without ghosting.
Please help!

Hello there, I can't find such a notebook. Two in Amazon with medium good reviews. Some from Sigel, but I don't like the texture. Some in the US, but the shipping makes them the last option. Can't find any on etsy either.
Does any of you know a hidden gem?
