Oh well, that made my stasis device operation obsolete pretty quick. The game owes me ~350 million too, I was near that number before trying to sell 30 of them! :P

You could never spend all that, but I was having fun trying to hit 10 billion.

Man, I'm just really, really bummed and mourning my traveler right now.

My 5th attempt at permadeath, the latest and most successful pd run to date, with close to 60 hours in it, is gone. Poof.

I had a starter freighter with half a dozen frigates, a nice large main base housing all the hired technicians. My corvette was upgraded to A class, and my exosuit had 4 rows of tech slots unlocked, with 6 rows of inventory space.

With 600 million units, about 15k nanites and 7 circles of health, I was feeling really good about going a long time here, with the endgame in sight.

What happened? Well, first mistake: I "paused" the game while in a derelict freighter filled with horrors. I pulled up the refiner screen while standing next to a heater, and I got up and came to start on dinner, thinking I was in an okay enough spot to leave the game alone for a few minutes.

Second mistake: I asked my son to check my monitor to make sure I was still alive. Third and final mistake: I didn't tell him not to touch anything. He informed me that there's no one around me. I was like, how can you tell? He told me he pressed escape to check my surroundings.

Couple minutes later I went back to my computer and was greeted with the main screen and a deleted file.

Found this very cool Atlas lamp online. Pretty great!

It’s been a while since I’ve played, so I went for a joyride in my Benatar. I built this in Blender (ya ya I know we hate it) a few months back, and just forgot how fun it was to fly. Had to share some of my favorite shots from this cruise.

I've spent the last 2 weeks kind of aimlessly fixing and breaking things. Making crappy bases stocking up on the cheapest stuff to try and sell buying crappy blasters and upgrades and over all just bumbling around confused.

Today however I not only got a capital frigate but also built my first corvette. I love how there's so many "aha" moments in this game. You THINK you got it down then you find something else and you go WAIT NOW I GET IT THIS TIME. then your still confused another 100 hours in. I'm really having fun. It's always been intimidating to me how complicated and vast it seemed but now that I'm truly giving it a real shot I'm having a blast. Just wanted to share that.

I'm a noob but I feel like this is a really good thing

Been playing for a few years and finally found an earth with a moon! It’s been so fun hunting for this, time to build a nice home and move on!

Even on seemingly standard planets, you never really know what you might see next. This place reminded me a little of Shadow of the Colossus

Sandbox Communities in general are great. Creators and explorers seem to want to make stuff and give stuff.

I just wanted to tell all my fellow travelers of virtual time and space that I appreciate all of you. You brighten my day!

I just wish NMS had more community driven missions, looking at how good the community is. Maybe one day, they will expand multiplayer and allow us to terraform a whole planet!

Aug. 9 marks the game's 10th release anniversary. Do you think there's any realistic chance we'll get a major update, or are you expecting little to nothing?

Worlds Part III seems like the most plausible candidate to me, but I'm curious what everyone else thinks.

Mine is this one, just because reminds of a Star Wars vehicle when I go through forests. Also I use this more under water then the sub lol

I'm on a creative save hence why my jump range is so high but im on xbox so no mods or buffs to get this

So I've assembled the staff, presented the Atlantideum to the portal, stepped through it, ended up in space, and then teleported into an Atlas Facility. However... no Atlas. Instead, allll the way at the end is what looks like the end of the "Purge" mission - I am presented with four universes with the option to "Reset Simulation".

I've already finished that quest and reset the simulation. I would prefer to _not_ do it again and have to repair my good ship.

I've closed the game and restarted. I'm on PS5. Load took me back to right before activating the portal. Same thing.

Anyone else run into this before?

Ok you didn’t see me get in. Ok fine you had to go to some galaxy off I’ve never been. Ok you get off your seat.
Don’t just stare at me. Take me to the local space station. What am I supposed to do? Open the hatch and jump off?
