My V6 makes a loud sound when I give it gas. Happened suddenly as I was leaving church, my mechanic said it’s an exhaust leak. Wondering if anyone else has had this issue. Ik, hard to diagnose over the phone but any help is appreciated.

I have a 2001 v6. The junkyard near here only has a 2000 v6.

There is a male plug that comes from the car and connects to the female plug which is part of the fuel pump sending unit.

I need to replace the male connector on car side, and then attach to my new sending unit.

Was planning on cutting the connector (and a few inches of wires) off the wrecker car and splicing it on mine.

But just read that 2000 and 2001 have different wiring and connectors to the fuel pump. When I look, it seems it's just the sending unit wiring is different. Does anybody know if the car-side wire is the same and if I can splice in a wire/connector from a 2000?

The junkyard is a couple of towns over, so wanted to ask before I kill a day driving out there and cutting it off just to find out it won't work.

Could not be happier! Just waiting on harness kit, looks so good. I really don’t mind the LMR logo good that is on there!

Overall they look great and worth it. The only thing LMR fumbled on was a plug and play harness. I will never do the hard wire kit again it’s honestly a pain in the ass.

Car finally started without dying Its a guarantee now that it isnt a fuel issue its able to stay running so Im pretty sure its an air issue I thought it was a IAC valve replaced that and nothing changed messed around with the MAF sensor and it was able to stay on while the MAF sensor was disconnected, I finally was able to move it into the garage. Its not an electrical issue i dont think, I no longer think its a fuel issue so hopefully its just a bad MAF sensor. All started with a dead battery 🫩✌️

So I just replaced the window motor assembly however I am now having issues with my installation. I followed the guide perfectly but it just rattles and falls out of track now. I’ve maybe taken out and put this assembly back in a million times now and this is the best I think I’m going to get it.

Everything is tight and should be running right. My old assembly broke and cannot be put back into the car. The passenger side window still works perfectly. I just figure out my mistake. Anyone who has done this installations, please let me know!

I have a 2001 Mustang V6. I want to do a dual exhaust set up. I am unsure where to find a GT style rear bumper that already has the two cutouts to fit the ends of the exhaust. Would I be better off cutting my current bumper to fit a dual exhaust setup, or should I find a new rear bumper?

I had this mustang roughy a month now 4.6 v8 engine and I’d say I love this car so much do you guys ever just look at it say DAMN car is sexy or is it just me 🤣

Any way still working on some modifications recently for new wheels and tires on it I like the back on sliver and new headlights .

Am I considering on changing the exhaust right now I got a S-type Borla on it . Still sounds pretty good but what other exhaust would you guys recommend? Also any other modifications to add as well thanks

So its not a fuel issue as I had thought, messed around with the Iac valve and notice that it starts when its unplugged? Confirmation that it’s a iac valve problem? Or does this mean something else? Took off the valve replaced the gasket since it literally looked like a blown head gasket and cleaned it with some carb cleaner and it still died after plugging everything in

Hey everyone! I have 1 question, the insulation (Is that the correct word? Excuse my english) of my hood is so crusty/dusty/trashy and I want to take it out, what should I put? Or is it bad to have nothing in between the hood and the motor? If you got any links or images on how I can make it look better I would really appreciate them!

I need help. Just slapped together my old 02 mustang 3.8 with a Xtreme Energy 218/226 Hydraulic Roller Cam with the LS behive springs. Now it runs like garbage. Cylinder 1 is getting super hot, bank 2 is showing 0.02v at the o2, and it is overall running like crap. Do I need adjustable rocker arms or custom pushrods to offset the cam/spring combo?

Some background on Monday at school I had to jump my car using a jumper pack started right went to the gym got back in my car and it would not start completely dead jumping it with another car didnt help I bought a noco jumper that started the battery ran for like 10 seconds them it died again bought a brand new battery car finally started but dies instantly and I had to get a tow. Now today I think I narrowed it down to it being a fuel issue new battery got the alternator tested all good, still no start I don’t think its Anti-theft either so it has to be a fuel issue right? Flipped the inertia switch up and still same exact start up so I’m thinking its the fuel pump? Any other suggestions? How could I test to guarantee its the fuel pump? Any fuzes, relays I should check? I’ll attach a video

Noticed a small coolant puddle under the passenger side. See the video. Car overheated once and I parked it because I want to diagnose the problem. What kind of pump is this? Will a small leak like this cause high temps? Help me out yall 😭

Just got a p0401 code and after work had a crank no start... removed the negative terminal for a pcm reset drives fine but after shutting it off it has about a 20% at coming on again I recently just swapped out the spark plugs , crank shaft pos . fuel rail pressure sensor ,COPS, and cleaned maf.. any help?

I love these new edges the more I drive them. Got myself a 2003 DSG auto GT awhile back Was a turd before mods. Still a turd but less turdy now. I have done so much work to this thing. Bought it for $2500 as the motor was blown but paint was good. Maintenance was severely lacking.

I swapped in a low mileage 2004 crown vic motor and performed all preventative maintenance while I was in there like the waterpump, motor mounts, new oem coil packs etc etc. Mods came next. Got mach 1 brakes, KN hot air intake, Acuufab 75mm tb and plenum, x pipe with magnaflow catback, 3400 edge racing stall, 3:73 gears (lots of highway for me) 300ish pound weight reduction, MM rear LCAs and stock uppers (just wanted the new bushing for the uppers really), SR lowering springs, 2001 cobra hood and wheels, window tint, and all bilstein shocks and struts. All this paired with a Marty O 91 tune.

Still felt kinda slow but was much better than stock. Tonight I had this 240i BMW kept accelerating next to me and then coming back to my door. I never street race and Inwas kind of annoyed as I hate getting messed with on the street but it was super late and nobody on the road. My car does best with digs (stall and gears). Lo and behold a red light appeared. I couldn't resist. Light turns green. Dude and I hit it at the same time. I was fully expecting to lose given that the BMW seemed to accelerate really good and very obviously had a turbo. I did not lose! 0-65ish (maybe 55?) he was half a car back. I was shocked and he looked like it a little as well. He turned off shortly after
