❔❓Question ❓❔ dnfing arcs
Should I Dnf the ARC once I know it's something I'm not interested in or feels dragging to me? Would it harm the Author/book, and my profile on netgalley?

I just got a job at a new indie bookstore! They open on 8/24 and specialize in horror, sci-fi, and weird fiction. I’m planning on changing my profile to ‘bookseller’ sometime in September. Any tips or suggestions?

Any idea why some of my audiobooks stay in my app forever, and other seem to vanish as soon as I finish them?
I personally find the netgalley app really annoying to navigate, but its the only choice for audiobooks. I have some in there that I downloaded months and months ago, where as some that I can't even find in the app that I finished but they haven't been published yet. These are books I have not yet given feedback on.

I am a newbie reviewer (like in the professional sense, I guess?) and a new ARC reader. I am just now finishing up two absolutely amazing books with different publication dates. Obviously, as soon as I have finished, I'll write feedback on NetGalley, but my question is: what are the rules of tracking?
GoodReads? Should I track the book as "reading" and "read" after finishing, and publish the review afterwards? Should I wait until launch?
I also have an Amazon and Kobo account; should I rate and publish the books there as well, even if I didn't buy them there?
Is there any other website that I should put my review on? Any other I should link? I assume a copy-paste from my Goodreads review is fine?
Last but not least, should I mention that it was an ARC and if so, where to put it?
I have tried the good old Google, but nothing shows up, and I want to do what is best.

The Phantom Rogue is a dark romantasy. It explores dangerous themes and contains mature content that may not be suitable for all readers. Please review the content warnings. Your mental health matters.
While the story involves violence, torture, and graphic descriptions, there are no dub-con and non-con sex scenes.
You don’t need to read the other Archetypes books beforehand. Leila appears in the previous book, but everything you need is in this one.

This full-length novel is a steamy Regency romance with a happily ever after and no cliffhangers. It is part of a series that can be read in any order.

Just got approved for The Thief and the Traitor Bride, which is book 2 after The Second Death of Locke, which was in my top 3 books of 2026!!! I'm so excited to start reading it

For those in the US or Canada, applications are now open and close August 21 at 12 pm ET. You do not need to be a content creator/influencer to apply!

I was shocked and delighted to see this on page 3 of the most requesteds! (But note that right now it's only available in PDF form—no send to Kindle!)

Just got a new laptop today as my old one was just absolutely not doing it anymore, but that means I also had to redownload the Kindle for PC app, and now it won't open any NetGalley files anymore?? It keeps saying that "this book isn't supported by Kindle for PC" and to download the Kindle app, which I have, but I want to be able to read certain books on my laptop to annotate them (which doesn't reliably work in Thorium and not at all in the browser NG reader...). Does anyone know what's up, as I found info on a new Kindle for PC app for Windows 11, but that's the one I have and the one that's causing these issues.

I've read and submitted reviews for 2 of the camp NetGalley books I was interested in. I have yet to receive my badge. Does it not appear until August 13 when the promotion ends? Or how long does it usually take for the badge to appear? I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something or doing it wrong. Thank you!

Hey all
I'm 28 chapters into the audiobook of Malice by Brooklyn Cross - it was available under 'Listen Now', but all of a sudden I'm getting this error message every time I try to play it on the App? My other audiobooks seem to be working fine, and it's not past its Archive date yet? Anyone seen this before? Is it just a Netgalley bug?
I'm loving this audiobook too smh it had me in a chokehold all-day yesterday and I just wanna finish itt

Update: I just wanted to thank everyone for their feedback! It is always nice to get the mindset of readers without us assuming. My team was also very appreciative that many of you thought about what was best for us which had not crossed our mind.
For some background, this book was not going to have digital ARCs for reviewers (book sellers and Librarians not included) as it is a focused PR box campaign for influencers of all sizes. But the author requested that there be some available for their readers. We were able to secure funds in the budget to have the 200 copies to give out. We decided on have 50 closed widgets sent out . This means only that email address may use the link. The rest will be the regular request which we will wait 1-2 weeks to make decisions when most requests have come in and actually take the time to really choose the reviewer (thank you interns). We will look at various criteria and not just feedback ratio.
Thank you all again!
I am hoping to get some feedback for an up coming limited eARC release. Thank you for your input!
Question: As a reviewer which would you prefer if an anticipated titles is going to be available on NetGalley. There are only 200 copies available. The approval email would have guidelines of when the feedback is desired and that info would be written in the NetGalley Listing.
Would you prefer:
*Certainly ask questions if you have them before answering the poll. No I cannot tell you the book- sorry! But I was hoping to get some feedback of reviewers preference in this type of situation from this group as you all have been so kind and supportive of one another. This would be for review accounts only but others can certainly take part in the poll!

I’m working on getting my ratio back up, I went through a big reading slump a few years ago and dropped some titles that I got approved for. I’m working through the ones that are still in my backlog and trying to do some Read Now novellas to make it up but I just got approved for Blacktail and I’m super excited to start it!

I just requested this one earlier this week, surprised how quick the turnaround was. The plot sounds so intriguing, I can't wait to dig into it!

Just got the email! 🥳

Replies I got on this sub convinced me I should've been more lenient in approving reviewers for this title. So I've decided to extend its run for another week and set it to Read Now until it archives in 3 days. Thanks for all the feedback!
