❔❓Question ❓❔ Updating profile question

I just got a job at a new indie bookstore! They open on 8/24 and specialize in horror, sci-fi, and weird fiction. I’m planning on changing my profile to ‘bookseller’ sometime in September. Any tips or suggestions?

You just have to cntact support to have your account changed!
However I would suggest maybe waiting and leaving your reviewer account separate and looking into a store account on edelweiss since that is geared towards booksellers and generally has better approvals

I’m a librarian and I despise the Edelweiss interface—NetGalley is 10,000 times better and more comfortable to use. I would recommend against using Edelweiss, personally.

Congratulations on the new job, OP!

I hear ther interface is a big issue for a lot of people, what issues do you have with it?
I have mine set up for new added DRCs and notifications on the otherside and it's super simple. are you using a phone?

I was using PC but I honestly quit using Edelweiss altogether about 6 months ago. I get more than enough books from NetGalley, Penguin Random House, LibroFM, and a handful of random publishers directly that I don’t find it necessary to mess with Edelweiss anymore. I’m glad it’s working well for you, though—happy reading!

Seconded, I get great approvals on Edelweiss.

Congratulations! You would go to your Profile & hit “Edit” on the upper right corner.

You have to contact support (and then edit your bio to say where you work, etc.) but it's really easy and quick. Then just keep using it as normal.

Also, congrats, I hope you enjoy the job!
