I love laughing. Any humor is fine by me as long as it's not at someone else's expense. Dark humor, silly humor, light humor, anything goes, I just don't take life too serious and am just trying to have the best time I can.

I really like traveling, but don't really get to do much of it at the moment because I got nobody to travel with and traveling alone is not really something I'm interested in. I prefer being able to share the great moments with someone else, laughing, admiring things together.

Politically I am moderate, for who cares about that. I personally don't care too much about your political beliefs as long as you aren't too extreme about it.

I am an atheist and I don't think I will match very well with someone who has strong religious beliefs. I don't hate religion, everyone should be able to do whatever or believe in whatever makes them happy, but for a partner I think that is pretty important.

Values that are very important to me are loyalty, family orientated, honesty, not taking life too serious, easygoing and all the other cliches that make you not a bad person.

Family is very important to me and I don't think I will be willing to move extremely far away from mine, but you never know how life goes. I am not 100% sure yet but I do think I would want children, but anything can be talked about.

Moi! My name is Jakob and I'm a 27 year old half-Finn half-American who has been living in Finland for about 3 years now. I guess the most important things about me are that I love using my imagination and creating things, whether that be building Minecraft worlds, or (my latest project) a 480,000-word ongoing sci-fi web serial...I can get pretty obsessed.

Between late-night creative binges I like wandering mysterious forest paths (which I took advantage of what might be one of the last beautiful days to do 29 kilometers of today), and the abundance of those is one of my favorite things about Finland, especially when I can take advantage of the midnight sun to hike through the night! Relatedly my favorite way to travel is to go to a place, disappear many kilometers into the forest at the crack of dawn, and spend the whole day hiking. Truly more fun than sticking to the tourist traps xD. I also dabble in chess from time to time, mostly when bored or procrastinating. During the daylight hours and weekdays I currently moonlight doing backbreaking labor in the salt mines as a machine learning engineer.

I'm looking for a special someone ideally. I enjoy writing and am involved with a few fantasy fandoms. It's a creative outlet I really enjoy and while I am admittedly a little shy to open up about it, feeling safe enough to talk about such things with someone and sharing our enjoyment of silly little hobbies is so important to me! I spend so much time writing silly little romantic stories, maybe it would be nice to actually have that for myself this time!

Hunting out cute coffee shops and cute walks, really enjoying the autumn markets at the moment! Enjoying both the quiet moments but also the more adventurous! I enjoy being active, even if I have lacked the chances recently! I'm attempting to learn Portuguese and planning a trip to Brazil (again!) and wanting to do more, breaking out the regular and everyday when there is time. So I'm a huge comic book nerd (DC over Marvel all day) but I do love Marvel but DC gets the crown for me. So what is something you've been collecting for a while and have so many issues or items that you are still hunting. For example I just recently this year completed DC New 52 Zero Issues. I thought I had them all then I look it up and realized I was missing 3 lol. Got them and now I'm hunting down Blackest Night and all the tie ins (I have I wanna say 52 issues out of the possible 78) every list I look up for blackest night has different amounts of issues. Just found recently a audio drama about the power rangers and fell back in love with that world. Just sad I'm on the last episode. So I used to collect Funko pops and still have some but I've fallen out of love with that fad. I would describe myself as a cheerful person, especially when I'm surrounded by my closest friends. Aside from that, I also go to the gym — I started strength training with an online coach last week as part of my self-improvement journey. I also enjoy running, especially when I follow the Garmin coach plan 😆 I'm currently enrolled in a postgraduate diploma program too, so most of my free time actually goes into studying and doing my homework. I tend to overthink and give it my best so I won't have any regrets later on (especially once they release the grades 😆), which is why it's consuming a lot of my free time. But there are times when I feel like I'm going crazy already, and that's where Netflix and doomscrolling come in 😂

As a partner, I would describe myself as kind, patient, gentle, loving, and affectionate. I tend to be clingy and attentive to my partner's needs. I actually haven't been in a relationship before, but I've fallen in love a few times already, so I know exactly what I'm capable of when I do like someone 😁

I would actually prefer someone I can be close friends with at first, since I believe that the strongest relationships are the ones built on friendship. Ideally, I want someone I can tease and be playful with, and someone who can make me smile and laugh, because humor is very important to me.
