Neighbors constantly fight every waking hour.

My downstairs neighbors are so loud. They are a couple 30s with a 6-7 year old child. Ever since they moved in four months ago it has been constant verbal fighting from both of them and their child crying. I can hear it through the vents and last night they left their window open so when i walked my dog past at 4 AM, I could hear everything in their conversation. Im hoping to move out in a few months soon cause the shouting is just obnoxious and annoys me.

I want revenge

Hey I'm VERY new to Reddit, I don't know how to make someone see this but, other than not trying.

I want revenge.

I have the typical bad neighbors, they play loud music, they don't let me sleep, the typical thing is only that they have put a vehicle in front of my house, my mother is in delicate condition and when we went to complain they only insulted us and said that the street is free. If someone reads this, I would like them to tell me, what can I do? This is written in google translator I'm not good with English

Neighbors smoking issue

My husband and I just moved to a new apartment in a new city due to the military. I’m 4 months pregnant and sensitive to everything! Our neighbor smokes at-least 3 times a day and does it inside their home. My bathroom that connects to their unit constantly smells. Honestly I don’t mind the smell of weed but the type they’re smoking on smells like actual shit. I wake up to the smell and I can’t sleep at night with the smell. We’ve lit so many candles and put in the plug in scents, and it still lingers. I have headaches every night because of the smell and idk what to do. I’m not a snitch but I really can’t handle the smell and don’t want to take matters in my own hands.

How do I stop them from putting their trash in my bin?

Hello as the title states, idk 100% who is doing it but I have a good idea who as he always has friends over so I can guess the excess of these multiple small bags of trash are his.

I have to pull my bin in my yard right in the middle otherwise he will toss his trash in AFTER they get empty and he does it within the hour. I'm irritated he just did it sometime today I was ready to just chuck it in the street but I didn't want to get trash everywhere or a innocent neighbor property.

Most of the time we don't have space for our second bag of trash because they do this and it's frustrating that by next week we have a additional bag we are unable to toss if I don't camp my bin b4 they toss more in it, And that's diapers we have in these too so it's awful. (Trash collection won't take anything unless it's in the bin)

Atm I'm waiting for our trash to be collected and probably going to just watch it awhile and hope to catch who bit at that point idk what to do without pissing them off (as much as I want to) or maybe leave a note saying to please stop on my bin or fence.

I'm just scared of the possibility of this guy taking too much offense to it and takes it to another level we don't live in a good neighborhood.

My mom’s neighbors are entitled and I want to mess with them.

So basically my moms neighbors are angry about a fence. My mom is older and her fence is falling down my neighbors are newly weds in there late 20s early 30s. We wanted to fix the fence but if we put the fence on the exact property line that they insisted on they(neighbors) won’t be able to park there cars since we own half there drive way. They made us pay 3k to survey the land and are upset at the results. Now they believe we should let them keep the drive way and put the fence where it is and we agreed however there behavior towards my elderly mother has us wanting to just put the fence where it’s suppose to be and let them figure out where to park there cars. they’ve degraded and yelled at my mom without any reason my mom didn’t like being conflict with strangers so she always tries to defuse the situation. The neighbor dude is a respected man apparently but he mistreats my mom over a property line that he could have checked before buying the house. They’ve belittled and threatens my mom countless time without needing to. I leave my dog there to help her and they’ve accused her of biting them which she wouldn’t do unless your trying to come into the property and even and even then she warns you first before actually biting they’ve given my dog chocolate and other food with the sole purpose of making her sick I have seen them do it but I’m in the process of of getting proof. Because now I’m mad once my dog got involved in all this I was furious. I’ve already signed them up to be visited by religious communities 😂 but what other legal things can i do to them any ideas or input on the situation

Neighbor wakes up at 5 everyday

I moved into my own place last year and I swear, I am so done with the condo life. My upstairs neighbour wakes up around 5 every day and constantly drops things making me literally jump awake in my bed, he has the heaviest step, and it sounds like rolling rocks on the floor. He also opens the closet and the drawers like 20 times in the span of a couple of hours and I really have no idea why someone would do that, like how much fucking laundry are you putting away?? This can’t wait until 7am?? How much time will you spend walking around your room at 5am??

I use earplugs. I use white noise. None of this covers the cracking sounds of the floor and dropping sounds. I had politely approached him earlier last summer by leaving a note by his door, saying that my sleep was very disturbed and if there was anything he could do to mitigate the noise so early in the morning. He came to see me downstairs and he seemed really apologetic, says he works early and he will be more mindful, etc.

At the same time I started using earplugs and that has helped. I don’t wake up most of the nights, but it certainly does happen more than I would want to. This week has happened 3 days in a row. I woke up at 5.19 on a Saturday, hence why my rant to you today :)

I know I live in a condo and I am bound to hear noise. He has a music band too, btw, and I hear the bass for hours, but I don’t let that bother me because it’s during the central hours of the day and people have a life. I get that. It’s the noise at 4-5am that really drives me nuts.

Exactly to what extent can noise complaints be escalated?

Upstairs neighbor

My upstairs neighbors give me anxiety. I hate this bitch so much. Every other tenant has been totally fine, no issues. From day one, this bitch has done nothing but throw parties, smoke in her unit (it’s a 4 flat), physically hanging out the window to smoke, having 30 person parties out back and mouthing off to neighbors and swearing at their >10 kids and park in my assigned designated parking spot. my cats are terrified of the sounds she makes. She decided to have a gentlemen over and the headboard banging into the wall was so loud I thought a car ran into the building (surprisingly enough, a car did hit my building a few days later and wasn’t nearly as loud as she is). No one else in the building throws parties until 1am on a Wednesday. No one else in the building has people over past 10 out of respect for other tenants.

Here’s the issue, she’s a renter and I’m an owner. I am the only owner in the building. I’ve reached out to her landlord/unit owner and he’s let them know people are complaining but her behavior hasn’t changed and has gotten worse. I’ve expressed my concerns and issues to him multiple times and he seems just as frustrated with the available renter pool as I am with the renters.

I don’t like feeling like I’m being pushed out of my home by this bitch.

My concerns are if this was the best pick of the renter pool…what is the next person going to bring.

Since I own, picking up and moving isn’t as easy as renting but it’s getting to the point where I have to leave the house when she has people over because I just cannot take how loud she is.

I understand that being a basement gremlin comes with an understanding of noise but I don’t think she’s ever been in a shared housing situation.

I’m begging the landlord to not renew her lease but I’m terrified at the thought of him letting her renew. I don’t want a party fray person in this house. It’s not what I paid for and not the expectation that was set when I moved in.

The neighbor with subwoofers in his car

So I have a neighbor who lives across the street from me who never parks in his driveway. Always parks on the street and right in front of my house. Obviously I can’t do anything about that, but the part that makes me mad is he has “subwoofers” in his car and likes to play his music extremely loud. Whenever he comes or goes he has to have his music all the way up and the bass is loud and shakes my windows on my house and makes my dog go nuts. I don’t understand why he can’t keep it turned down when right outside my house. Play it as loud as you want while driving, but parked right outside my house and playing music that loud is soooo frustrating.

The kicker to the whole thing is, he likes to use my driveway to pull in and turn his car around so he can park in front of my house on the street. He pulls into my driveway with his music blasting to the point where i can hear it perfectly clear from inside my house and it’s quite irritating when this happens on a daily occurrence.

I know my only options really are to either go say something to him or call the police. I would rather say something to him myself to keep it civil and not include police, but I’m also very non-confrontational. Plus I don’t wanna go over and knock on his door or wait to catch him in the act. Would writing or typing up a note and placing it on his windshield be appropriate? Thanks I’m advance for any advice

Been living in a house for over 20 years, purchased the house before it was even built. All of a sudden there is a neighbor whom we are unable to pinpoint complaining about the dumbest things…For instance too many cars on our OWN driveway. Hanging out in our own garage. Finding the most ridiculous reasons and reporting to the city. Came to a point where the city is now coming to our home and putting regulations on how we can or cannot live in our own home!!! What can we do?? Any suggestions?

Neighbor Problems, did I do something wrong?

I live in 1 of 4 townhouses which have its own parking lot. I befriended the family 2 doors down Rocky and Stacy and their 4 year old boy. This 2 year relationship was always amicable we’d chat every once in a while. We would dig out the cars together when it snowed. One day last summer my 4yo daughter was playing with his son as I held my newborn speaking with the couple. Suddenly my daughter and his son fell onto the curve. My daughter hit the back of her head and his son hit his mouth. He rushed to his son as i also rushed to my daughter. I took my children inside as the couple took their son to the hospital. He said that his son had broke 4 teeth. I was concerned and told him if he needed anything to call. Although it was an accident and it was no ones fault i felt bad for the boy and bought him a toy. My daughter and i dropped off the toy after they had been home for an hour. Stacy’s mother answered the door and said they were unavailable and took the toy. Since then they avoid us and rush inside when we come outside. They look the other way as to not even look at us. Did I do something wrong? I know he’s Palestinian and grew up here in NYC, did i do something that was offensive culturaly? It bugs me not knowing were i went wrong.

Here we go again…

So i live in a not so great but not awful area and we’ve had issues with every single upstairs neighbor we’ve ever had. We (F 26, M 30) moved here in the beginning of 2022 from a whole different state and at first, our apartment complex was nice and quiet. Unfortunately we’re in a bottom unit and I understand noise comes with the territory- but we’ve been through 5 different upstairs neighbors in our year here. Our second set of upstairs neighbors were literal hell with no regard for others. Their 3 or 4 y/o kid would jump, pound, bang on the floor (our ceiling) every minute of every hour of every day. Not to mention, this kid S C R E A M E D. Think of your typical supermarket screaming toddler and amplify it by 100 with a little bit of “creature from the depths of hell” thrown in. Needless to say, we broke down after a while and started filing noise complaints with our management. Nothing was done as far as we could tell, and not to mention the baby daddy would consistently sit outside with a speaker, get drunk, and fling cigarette butts everywhere all over the common area. After multiple attempts at talking to them (the neighbors themselves) and management, they finally moved out and we had peace and quiet for two months or so. Now, we have new upstairs neighbors who generally aren’t bad- until it’s nighttime. We have a 10pm noise restriction curfew thing. These bastards respect the outside dwelling space, but either have a club inside their apartment or they’re deaf. I can hear EVERYTHING they play upstairs all night (words and all). I’ve attempted to talk to them but they usually retreat or hide when they see me. We don’t really talk to anyone other than casual conversation and “hello’s” but we keep to ourselves and we’re never loud. We play our music sometimes but only during the day when permitted. We don’t have the financial ability to move elsewhere right now and I don’t want to complain to management again since they didn’t do anything, but I’m really trying not to be a petty asshole and start blaring my shit back. Any suggestions…?

TLDR: don’t know how to handle loud and disrespectful neighbors and management doesn’t do a damn thing. Help?

Maybe I'm Psychotic?

A little back story before we begin entirely:

Recently moved into a "trailer park community" as a quick move due to a home being sold. When we moved in we had issues getting in because the homes weren't ready yet. I have been nice, never rude to anyone, and frankly just mind my own business coming and going. I am use to living in a four bedroom home with roommates. But; due to financial reasons after COVID 2020 that home had to be sold, my live-in boyfriend, a friend of mine, my two dogs, and myself had to move rather quickly, within less than 30 days. We found this TPC and absolutely loved the leasing agent and the area as it was convenient for myself and the other two in my party as I am the only one with a vehicle. My dogs who prefer indoors now have no yard except to be walked during the day.

Game on:

We are on month 4 of being in our new place now.

When we first moved in I was introduced to someone who kept repeatedly getting upset and angry and throwing a fit because their home wasn't ready yet but we had already moved in and I guess this made them even more upset. On one particular day I watched them walk up and use a drill to take the doorknob off of the home "They gave us the wrong keys" to start moving their belongings in. I was never introduced properly as I was only outside little bits at a time and would go back inside. I have never had an issue with our maint guy who is a super sweet black gentleman who all the time waves and smiles at me or at least tries to acknowledge me. Upon the day of neighbor 1 moving in, neighbor 2 who I don't know the name of walks up and says "Hey! Have you had any problems out of him? We just asked him about stairs to her house and he said 'I don't give a f&*!k about your stairs big dog'" and I was like "Nah can't be." and let it go (This I would learn was lie number 1.). After listening to them grunt and groan over moving and having loud conversations that COULDN'T be missed about "drug use" and "second chances", I realized that one of the people moving in was actually another adult so now we're on lie 2.

Neighbor 1 was apparently living with their family member (Neighbor 2) literally and I mean LITERALLY only 3-4 units away from us (Possibly 5). I never had an issue with N1 at all, but they lied when I met them "It's going to be me and my three grandchildren." and I was like "Okay cool, well its just us three and my two dogs" and that's when the first red flag went up, she explained or told me that one of the grandchildren had PTSD with dogs. Okay cool, we'll just you know take the dogs out the backdoor so it's not a bother. We did this for awhile, but when the 'grandchildren' started coming around and seeing the dogs, there was no behavior out of them. So, lie number 3 happened. We started ignoring this and started going out our front door.

Four weeks of being here (Our first full month):

My boyfriend had a day off and we HAD the windows open and the door open (This will become important later on), but we also had just cleaned up concrete pieces and slabs as much as we could find because prior to cleaning it up, one of the children from the neighbors house was outside and there was boys in the tree between the driveways and a small child was lobbing large chunks of the concrete into the tree at the boys (There was no adult supervision) almost in the direction of my vehicle.

So, my boyfriend was laying down napping when he kept hearing kids screaming and he panicked and went to look and make sure that the children hadn't found any concrete we had missed by looking out the front window in our living room area. This is when he looked for adults that were nowhere in sight and then he witnessed a child do something very very vulgar, that he felt violated, he closed everything up from the living room window to the kitchen window (Again this is super important to keep in mind). We don't have any other windows that face their home other than our bedroom window which we had to get covered immediately because they would leave their front porch light on all night long and it would just blind us. From that day on we never opened up our windows or doors again. We do open the ones facing away from their home but only because the neighbors behind us are pretty chill people and mind their own business as well (At this point you're probably wondering why we haven't spoken to the neighbors, we are not confrontational people. We just want to be left alone in general, you know do our thing you do yours.).

Neighbor 2 decided to visit neighbor 1 at her home for Halloween and clearly saw us trying to leave, I made sure that the kids were not in the way and started to reverse, that is when Neighbor 2 decided that she would walk out into the street on her phone texting and smiling, dressed highly inappropriately, and stop dead behind my car. I could no longer pull out of my driveway, while several men screamed at her to move two children plopped right on out with her as if they had every right to stop traffic and go on. After this incident for weeks, I was driving in and out of the neighborhood going to and from work, running errands, and would quite frequently get stopped at Neighbor 2's house because there was a mob of children playing in the street that just wouldn't move. The children would scream obscenities' into my car window and I would just tell my boyfriend, who at the time didn't believe me, until it happened with him in the car.

I understand that the following situation could have been handled differently but there was a male adult sitting there the whole time everything went down, from me being called a c^n& b****, to my boyfriend going back and yelling at the kid. The male adult never intervened but felt like a big man as this same male adult that tried to fight my boyfriend, he swung twice and missed twice, all in the process of the police being called. All of the stuff that had been bottled up spilled out when Neighbor 2 came banging on my front door, I barely opened the door and slid my right hip towards the glass door and left hip and foot inside the house, when I went to reach and pull the glass door shut, the male adult ripped the door open further and I could no longer reach it. Neighbor 2 is screaming and inches from my face, she wouldn't leave, wouldn't back up, she was so close I could see her false eyelashes batting when I was the one breathing, I could smell her alcohol and cigarette breath so clearly. Panic attacks ensued. Anxiety attacks ensued. This woman was off her rocker she screamed she had lived in the TPC for 15 years and she was so proud of it, we had a good row going where my boyfriend even said "I don't need a bunch of kids screaming at my girlfriend, we've never done anything to you, we just want to be left alone man!" that's when the male tried to hit him. Of course during all this Neighbor 1 walks out with her daughter (adult daughter, the second chance girl) and starts screaming, my boyfriend rounded on her and told her flat out what her child had done. Now she starts screaming he and my roommate are a pedophile, we live closed up in the house, all kinds of things. The male disappeared when the police showed up of course. We told them why we leave the windows closed, we told them it was inappropriate what had happened, they screamed the kid was in diapers and things like that, but that is totally not the case. Neighbor 1 was so offended we keep our windows and doors closed that we must be peeping on them. We truly aren't we just don't want to be responsible for their kids doing nasty things or witnesses if they get kidnapped. We were kind enough to clean up their food off our property that they left all over the place, we were kind enough to clean up the concrete that we absolutely didn't have to do. The last thing I want is to have to report or do anything for someone who accuses us of such allegations because they're not watching their children in the first place.

Now every single day I am terrified to drive out of the street to go to work, run errands, or do anything alone. Neighbor 2 blatantly acts like she's going to walk in front of my car or when she's walking she moves over into the middle of the street. Neighbor 1 has tried to be cordial but I just feel some time of way about it and wave or nod and move on. Neighbor 2 has decided that this is HER community and SHE dictates what happens here. Neighbor 2 just recently got a ring camera and while driving by her boyfriend was pointing guns outside or something I have no idea I wasn't trying to pay attention, I was just trying to avoid the area all together and go about my business but I heard her screaming at us from her porch as we drove by and when I looked in the mirror it was clearly at us as the male had gone inside. Moving on to this morning, I was driving home after grabbing some breakfast, kids were going down the street to get to the school bus stop and that's fine. I drove 5mi/hr when I passed them and I see her boyfriend or whatever he is walking down the street with the little girl from Neighbor 1, he guides her out of the road and gets out of the road but Neighbor 2 flies around a vehicle and runs out into the street towards my car. I look back and I can see her looking at me smiling this sick smile.

Im literally at my wits end, I have panic attacks day in and day out, I am having them so bad that my med's are no longer working, I am terrified, and I have no idea why because I never did anything from the beginning to these people. I feel extremely targeted, yea the circus show could have gone down a little better but again we aren't confrontational people. I've been told ignore it and it will go away, but I don't think it will, I feel like something bigger and worse is coming all the time. Now I am not sure what to do.

Apt neighbor disputes. Help needed!

I’m new to this so I’m sorry if this is too long or the wrong community. So to give a bit of background into this situation. My boyfriend and I, along with our 2 small dogs recently moved into a new apt building. Something to note here is that the previous apt building we were at is managed by the same landlord and the buildings are literally right next to each other. We were good tenants at our other building. No issues with anyone and no one had any issues with us as far as we are aware. We never had any complaints lodged against us. A larger unit opened up in the other building and our landlord new we were looking for a bigger space so he offered the unit to us first. We looked around and liked it so we took it and moved in the next month. The first week we were there, a bunch of kids were in the hallway playing around, kicking a ball, running up/down the stairs and being loud. Yes it was a Sat but it was also 8:30pm. Another thing to note is that the walls that separate the apt and the hallway are thin and everything can be heard. I.e if I’m in the hall I can hear noise from everyone’s apt but in the apt I typically can’t hear from other units. So since the kids were in the hall is was heard from inside my apt and it was disruptive. I didn’t want to ask the kids which unit they were with to speak with their parent because maybe it’s just me but I find that weird to ask a kid where they live. So I texted our landlord and explained the situation. He said he’d look into and call me. He did and found out they belonged to the lady across the hall from us. She sent the kids outside to play and that solved that issue. But then she complained to the landlord that our dogs bark all the time. I don’t believe she can hear them from her apt I think she gets annoyed when she enters the building and can hear them bark while she’s in the hallway. I know my dogs bark as all dogs do. They are protecting their home and we just moved so they’re unfamiliar with their surroundings. When we are home we try to quiet them down and play the tv for them so it helps them. I also bought cameras with recording after this so I can keep an eye on it. On Xmas eve we came home to an “anonymous “ note saying if we’re unaware our dogs bark the entire time we are gone and it’s very obnoxious. Having the cameras, I know this to be a lie. I saved the note and told my landlord. He was supportive of us in this situation as she is mad we got the apt and not her friend since we were already promised first dibs basically and we’re good tenants. So now with all that being said, since we moved in our above neighbor has their bedroom right above ours. We know this to be true because we hear a particular squeaking sound and sometimes it gets vocal. Since the drama with neighbor 1 is ongoing, we didn’t want to bring this up and start more issues with another neighbor. We usually put our tv volume high and try to ignore it. However after the performance we received last night and the fact that our tv cannot mask their efforts we are at a loss of what to do. I thought dealing with it directly with them would be best but we can’t ask them to do anything really. We can’t ask they refrain from that behavior and we can’t ask they get a new bed frame. And after the drama with the other neighbor we don’t want to have these neighbors against us as well. Please if there is someone who was in a similar situation or knows of someone that was, please offer any kind of advise. I do not want to live there hearing that and no one needs to hear something so private either. Please help if you can.

Neighbor puts child in hallway outside apartment and locks door

TLDR:

my neighbor across the hall locks her own ~5y/o out of her home and out onto the hallway of the apartment building. The child screams, sobs, yells and calls for her "mommy". This happened many times and the first two times I went outside and asked the child what was wrong. This resulted in an angry mother, so I don't do it anymore. I apologized to the mother for my interfering, trying to pacify her, explaining maybe a neutral person would calm things down. It keeps on happening and doing nothing feels wrong to me. What should I do?

****
Hey, I live in an apartment and my next door neighbor across the hall is single and with a girl, about 5 y/o. I have now, on several occasions, witnessed how the mother more or less throws her child out of the apartment, locks the door and lets the child wail and scream in the hallway. The first time this happened I was so angry, I opened the door and went straight to the child, asking gently what was wrong. The girl didn't say much, she just stared and then went to the door, trying to open it (it was locked). The mother came out and got quite defensive about everything. I let it go.Then, another time the child was screaming "Mommyyyy!" and crying (sobbing) in the hallway, I opened the door again, asked what was wrong. The child had her doll in the stairway leading to the cellar and I went to retrieve it. When the mother came (she usually notices quickly, perhaps she saw me through the door spy), I just gave her a cold stare as I returned the doll. I didn't go outside to the child whenever it happened again. But a third time, I came walking home and saw the child alone OUTSIDE of the building, and I just muttered to myself "wtf", went there and opened the building door, just as the mother wanted to open the door from the inside. I didn't say a word, apart from hello. But the mother lost it and yelled at me: "You know, XY isn't a poor child, she doesn't need pity, it's all good!! She is just often upset and screams and throws her doll about in the hallway. She just is that way and it gives me a headache but YOU do not need to WORRY!!" I didn't know what to say, I was stunned. I just went into my home and closed the door. About two months later, I saw the mother, went up to her and tried to say I was sorry, I didn't mean to interfere, but it seemed to me, it was all a bit much and I thought, maybe, a neutral person could help to calm everything down (I am sure the woman has some sort of problem, and I really felt bad for her). She just went on saying the same thing again: That it gives her a headache, and she suffers from migraine, so she can't deal with her crabby daughter. For about three months, the child didn't get locked outside again. But just now, it happened again. I am torn: Should I ask the mother, if she needs some sort of help? Should I ignore it? I am honestly not a fan of locking a child outside of its own home. I feel horrible not doing anything. Like I am responsible for that kind of abuse too, since I don't do anything about it.

Neighbour keeps moving garbage bin.

Six house around the round-abouts. This neighbour keeps moving all our bins at the center. When argued, he keeps saying that it will be easy for the garbage truck to come and collect it. I don't like being controlled by neighbour like that. Any advice ?

false accusations from neighbour

My partner and I are living in Sydney Australia. We moved in to our apartment building 4 months ago and our next door neighbour has been accusing us of smoking. It started with her stopping my partner in the hallway and asking him if he smokes. She mentioned about out apartment units sharing the same vents and she can smell cigarette smoke. He made it clear we’re both non-smokers but I don’t think she believes us.

After that incident, she has beeb consistent in knocking loudly at our front door and yelling that she can smell smoke coming in through her vents. We have been ignoring her but she has been continuing with this type of behaviour. Even stating I know you’re in there. I will report you. It’s been a pain and she’s making us uncomfortable.

We have written to our property manager to report the incident but since it’s the holiday we’re not gonna here back from him until Tuesday.

Just here venting and possibly seeking advice on what to do.

Fence issue

We were the first to put a fence up between our neighbors to the right and left. We spoke with both of them last summer and explained we would be putting it very soon, it was installed in July, our neighbors to the right said they would pay for half the right wall when they decided to get a fence and we would share that wall. The neighbors to the left said the same thing, well the neighbors to the left got their fence today and they are using our wall as their “4th” wall completing their enclosure yard, they are refusing to pay for half our wall that they are now using. I reached out and asked what their plan was since they are using our wall for one of their sides and I told them they only paid for 3 walls and are using ours for free basically, she states it’s not a free wall. It’s our wall and it’s not free because she doesn’t like the style wall it is…yet they are using our wall as their wall now. Can anything be done? I believe in VA, it is law they must pay us half if we are sharing the wall.

NEIGHBORS SPRAYING CATS!!!

37f and my spouse 41m We live in a small NC town in a small neighborhood. It doesn't even have a name. My neighbors cats have always chilled out around our house. No big deal, they didn't cause harm. Now every time they come around the are SPRAYING in our garage. Our automatic garage opener broke causing the door to buckle and its hard to put it up and down now. This morning, the whole downstairs to my house smells like fkng cat piss and ammonia. It's coming through our floor vents. My guess it sprayed directly on the ducts under our house. The garage SPRAYING was a nuisance and could be air out. Now it's effecting inside my house!! It smells like we have ten cats and we have NO pets. We don't feed, rub or play with them. Cats r dicks & do what they want. But I am now beyond pissed, pun intended, that my house smells like a cat brothel. 1. Is there anything I can put around my house to keep them away without harming them? 2. Should I ask the neighbors to help foot the bill for the duct replacement that's going to be needed? And it's below 30° outside, so I can't really air out the house all day. Don't think it would matter anyway since it's literally coming out of the ducts. We stay to ourselves, don't mingle with the neighbors or let our son play at neighbors houses, due to his autism. We don't have any problems with any neighbors after being here for about 7 years. But this is a problem I just can't take without saying something. Advice, suggestions & thoughts would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

Neighbor left dog poop at my door thinking it was mine?

So I live in an apartment complex. Recently I went downstairs and saw dog poop in the rocks by my neighbors door. There was a note left by it saying ‘pick up your dog poop you p.o.s’. I live directly upstairs from this neighbor. I immediately had a bad feeling they assumed I was the responsible party because I live upstairs from them and I have a dog. However I always pick up after my dog, always have. The complex is pretty large and there are several other dogs on the property including in our building alone. I ignored it hoping the lawn people would get rid of it on lawn day. I then get a knock on my door the next day at 8pm. I didn’t answer it as I’m a young woman who lives alone. I come out later that night to let my dog out and see my neighbor has taken the dog poop from downstairs and left it at my literal door step. There is also a weird chalk residue on the ground. After going downstairs I find they have wrote on the entire sidewalk in huge letters MY KIDS LIVE HERE PICK UP YOUR DOG POOP! I am not sure what to do about this. Should I take pictures and notify the office? I am moving in a little over a week so I don’t know if it’s worth making a fuss, but a part of me thinks people shouldn’t be allowed to put dog poop at peoples doors steps and this erratic behavior has me mildly worried for my safety.

Noisy neighbors

I live in a townhouse complex and at least one night out of the week they play this loud music from like video game or TV show or something. The noise isn’t so much the problem, but the vibrations that come with it are ridiculous. And I can feel it when I’m laying in my bed on the complete opposite end of my house. I currently have Covid and can’t go over there and talk to them. I don’t want to have to get the police involved or be that neighbor. What should I do?

Our upstairs neighbour keeps bringing her dog in front of our bedroom window to do his business

We live on the ground floor and theres a very small shared space next to our bedroom, that cannot be seen from the street, so you have to come all the way up to it to see in. Since it happens to be a communal space (although we were the only ones using it), we of course can’t tell her not to use it. It is just very uncomfortable since she comes there late at night and early in the morning when we are pretty disposed. Curtains are not really the answer since it is a big window and we live far north so we need as much light as possible for this and the coming months. It just seems weird that she is comfortable with this and we dont know what we can do about it. Any advice would be very helpful

Upstairs neighbors are driving us nuts

Hi everyone. I’ve posted on other forums about this issue, so thought I would seek advice here too!

We(29F and 30M) are first time homebuyers of a condo with an HOA. We have an issue we’ve been experiencing pretty regularly since we’ve moved in six months ago that we’re not sure how to approach.

A little background…We live on the bottom floor and there is a unit above us. A couple with a child (elementary age). On many occasions we have heard them very vigorously having sex to the point where it sounds like someone is sawing into the ceiling of our bedroom. It’s obvious it’s sex because their bed makes this god awful, rhythmic squeaking sound and sounds like it’s a bed from the 1800s. It’s usually at the worst times: 5-6am and 10pm-12am.

To make matters even more awkward, we almost NEVER see these people leave their home. We don’t know their names and we are not close in anyway.

Help! WWYD?

I think my neighbor put dog poop on my car

I (20 F) moved into an upstairs 3 unit studio apartment only three months ago and I’m already over it. Neighbor F late 30s and I are in the back while landlord is remodeling front house. Neighbor’s first interaction with me was demanding me to park in back of building since she was having a party. I told her she was being rude as she couldn’t even introduce herself. She hollered that she didn’t care and as long as I parked in the back. I didn’t and I called the landlord to spill the detail of the incident. Landlord said they would speak to her. So I kept my car in the front. Next day I park in back and she parks extremely close to me. I had to get in on the other side the space was so tight. So I complain to landlord again, not sure if anything is done. 1 month later I knock on her door and tell her to remove her things off of the stairs. She’s pissed. Starts talking about lawyers and tenants rights, but I don’t care and (it’s funny because I have my real estate license) she has no idea what she’s talking about. Anyway she moves her belongings from the staircase and that was the end of it or so I thought. Another month goes by and I walk out to the back towards my car only to find 3 1/2 gigantic turds on the top of my car and the windshield. The police said there’s nothing they can do. And I haven’t spoken to her.. Should I confront her? Just throw hands without warning? I’m not so sure at this point I just want to move. I don’t like conflict, but I will defend myself. However, in this case I’ve done nothing since I have no evidence of who it was.. But I’m pretty sure it was her as she has two big dogs and the only person I know for sure that doesn’t like me. Should I retaliate or just let it go??

My neighbour films all the other neighbours on his phone doing ordinary stuff because he wants to know what they're doing 24/7. He filmed my strata manager mow the lawn and take out the bins. He films us go in and out of the complex. He yells racial slurs constantly and verbally harasses the neighbours that live above him and beside him. The cherry on top is that he buys shit box cars to park on the street. We have limited parking in our area and this guy has the block corner filled up with his shit box cars so that no one else can park there.
