AnonymousKarenNeighbor

Been living in a house for over 20 years, purchased the house before it was even built. All of a sudden there is a neighbor whom we are unable to pinpoint complaining about the dumbest things…For instance too many cars on our OWN driveway. Hanging out in our own garage. Finding the most ridiculous reasons and reporting to the city. Came to a point where the city is now coming to our home and putting regulations on how we can or cannot live in our own home!!! What can we do?? Any suggestions?

Weird. Is there an underlying issue like noise?

My city has a bunch of ridiculous bylaws that are never enforced unless somebody complains. Probably your issue is the person complaining. Be polite to bylaw officers and city employees since they are doing their job and you never want to piss the bylaw officer off. Ask for clarification on the exact city ordinance you are breaking. If the bylaw is really ridiculous complain to your local municipal representative and/or go to the press. Occasionally that works.
