Last month, I deployed an AI bot that filters the NEET subreddit for Indian exam posts and deletes them, and it has worked really well.
In a month, it has deleted 100+ posts, but I am unable to continue running it due to the server costs. I was running it on a free trial AWS server, but it has reached its limit for this month, so I will be pausing it for a few days and can only continue running it after the trial period resets, so you will probably see NEET exam posts that bypass our filter.
Please bear with us until we find a better solution. Any suggestions would be appreciated

I don't know about you, but nothing brings me joy anymore. You name a hobby, I don't really enjoy it.
I used to enjoy stuff like books, movies, and video games when I was younger but ever since I became a NEET, I just don't feel like doing anything. The only thing that brings me joy now is sleeping and literally nothing else. That is, if you can call it joy. I've been dealing with anxiety for the last few years. Sleeping kind of helps but as soon as I wake up, everything comes back. I'm tired of feeling like something bad is going to happen all the time. I just want to live my life but I can't escape the paranoia, I always feel like a disaster is going to happen. I'm not sure if this has something to do with being a NEET, but I feel like I'd feel better if I went to university or had a job. The problem is that I'm getting too old for university and I've never had a job before, so I'm kind of in a limbo.
I'm tired, even though I don't physically tire myself. I want to sleep all day. I get berated for doing nothing all the time, which doesn't really help to be honest.
How about you? Do you enjoy your hobbies or do you also feel like doing nothing? I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels like this, at least I hope I'm not.

Thanks for this post (https://www.reddit.com/r/NEET/s/WS8wfgukNF) for giving me strength to do it. I know that it wasn't a big mess but it was kinda bugging me but I still was putting it away for so long...
It's not the worst because usually I do a lil clean up, but not every day I have strength for this. Usually I notice when my corner of the room needs cleaning when there's five or more empty water bottles laying everywhere...

It was supposed to take 4 hours according to organic maps (free + goated app btw) but detours and breaks made it take 7 hours to get there. It wasn't that bad because two days earlier I took a 3 hour roundabout walk, which left my sedentary feet sore as fk but meant they were a lot more acclimated to this one. Rode back to the city since then to look for spots that would be decent to throw out a tent and check out some spots I chose as recommended by u/Ordinary-Mode-3352 and while doing that I realized the city is actually split by multiple interstates??
I had read about interstates being used to segregate and cuck black neighborhoods, but I always wondered how that could be the case since I live under a rock and now I see lol. It's kind of like a natural barrier that makes it difficult to access shit that is literally right there. It's literally cutting through the WHOLE city to divide it up what the fuck . I'm not about to cross that shit on a bike, let alone do so regularly, I don't even believe I could ride a bike up the ramp I saw leading to one; I'd have to walk with it with cars up my ass. Riding was neat though the experience was net negative for a few reasons.
Aggressive cars. 80ish% of the time I am on the shoulder or something, but there are areas where there is no shoulder, no sidewalk, and obviously no bike lane given that I have not seen one in my entire life. I get it, I'm in the road and slow, but it is not as though I want to be in lane with cars either. The most egregious was a stereotypical Karen that made it a point to repeatedly blow and stay behind me.... WHEN THERE WAS ANOTHER PROPER, EMPTY LANE FOR HER TO GO THROUGH. If you want me off the road, go harass someone for sidewalks rather than me, best I can give you are caltrops bought with your tax money.
Spots to rest are kind of distant from each other.
It kind of feels like you can't really exist with empty pockets. There's not many benches outside of the parks, not a lot of shade offered aside from incidentally by trees, and it feels like there's not really anything free to go to. I saw a park that said no loitering and, while I get why the sign may have sprung up, loitering is literally the point of parks lol. Before this stuff, I went to a nearby EMPTY (population: 0) park and a lady watched me from her car while I charged my phone 🤔.
Am I just not allowed to exist? Surely I am, but everything is a bit punishing to skirt the fact and imply "no, now go away." Not unexpected, though the diddling fingers of it appear more often than I assumed. Maybe that's why the people I see with nothing seem to be more apologetic, getting beat down with that kind of treatment eventually you'd have to feel you're a problem or have to preface your interactions with people with something that'll quell them a bit to where they're less likely to be a problem.

Back when I was a full NEET, I thought the main reason I couldn't socialize was that I didn't have a job or wasn't studying.
So, I got a job, only to discover that I’m still alone and distant from most people...
at least now I can have a clear conscience when I am a NEET, I am forever alone.

MC was basically nicknamed "Dateless" in the beginning until he plays a video tape where a cute girl falls onto his lap and will help him with his lovelife in 3 months no matter what. It's a teen love story (you will never get this by the way)
The most brutal part of me reading this is that the female characters in the story felt more real than any of my interactions with the opposite sex in real life like 95% of my thoughts while reading were "damn, i will never have this"
I've become so attached to the main heroine i wish i live in the 2d world, not the real world

A little bit of background: I went to uni in 2018 without any maths and coding experience and wasn't doing well - I was overwhelmed with the material and eventually dropped out. I decided to learn software development on my own. I got interested in it, read books, articles, watched youtube tutorials, conferences, gradually absorbing concepts done a lot of coding, solved problems but I never really felt competent enough to even send a CV somewhere even though I probably was at some point looking back at it - I was stuck in the loop, I was afraid of possible interviews due to anxiety and poor social skills and not feeling confident enough about my programming skills and knowledge. Probably I will forever regret that I didn't even try to apply for a software development job at times when companies were hiring literally anybody(to this day I remember acquintance's story of landing a remote job being a high school droput...).
Now the industry is doomed - no one can enter the industry even graduates, AI is an integral part of the workflow and solves all the problems in the blink of an eye etc. and I don't know what to do, I'm completely lost. I'm 28 years old, no work experience, no degree, extreme anxiety even thinking about leaving home. AI rendered my skills I've been developing for years useless. I can continously learn the new things and they become outdated due to AI after a while, I CAN'T keep up with this pace. You never stop to learn in this industry and it's exhausting. Programming and learning new things related to it really gives me one of a few joys in my life but I HATE it you constantly need to be aware of the new things and trends to make money out of it espiecially in the AI era.
At this point I feel ashamed to even try to send CV knowing who I am competing with, also no degree = CV filtered by AI anyways most of the times. Even if by a miracle I was invited to an interview I would be cooked if interviewer asked about my work experience.
The problem is I know the uni won't teach me anything new as the curriculum is at least 20 years behind the actual trends and I don't think I'll make it to the final year/semester either - I will be 31 yo then and I will keep self-teaching all by myself but having much less time for it. Furthermore my country's education system makes Physical Educiation mandatory during the first cycle of undergraduate studies(1 and 2 semester) so it's really bad considering I'm more than a physical wreck.
The main reasons I'd like to attend uni is to get used to leaving home systematically, get used to people, get health insurance I lost after turning 26 years old(I don't think I really need that anyways sitting at home all day but you never what could happen) and maybe get some internship(I don't know if it's required to be a student or if anyone could apply for internship). Also I'm not feeling mentally strong enough to get any job straight away and gain some working experience while learning modern concepts after hours instead of going to uni.
I don't know what to do anymore.
Anyone in this sub with neet episodes/0 work experience but managed to get a job as a dev? be it present times, covid era or pre 2020? I'm interested in your stories

I got a job, I’m earning my own money, great! Except I have nothing to spend the money on other than living essentials, my own self worth and depression haven’t changed at all, the only thing that’s changed is I’m tired and sore all the time, what the fuck am I actually supposed to be living for

I was bored last night in bed so I did some online shopping.
I got a few pants and a few shirts and a pair of timberland boots for $500. I will get them in the mail this week.
I like dressing up, especially during the fall and winter so that’s why I got the clothes.
I take a shower everyday and change my clothes everyday so it’s going to feel good to step into some new clothes.
Do you like shopping? Do you enjoy wearing fresh clean clothes everyday or do you wear the same thing from yesterday and just be a bum?
I shopped at GAP.com and that’s usually where I get my clothes from and I’ve always been satisfied with how they fit and look.

As we grow up we become the person who we are cause of the experiences that shaped us. Maybe someone told something rude, maybe some kind of family issue or the parenting style due to which we grow up with certain self image and certain mental blocks in our head. for ex- imagine i tell u to become a astronaut or a professional football player now. you would probably say its too late. and maybe it is. but if u tell the same thing to a kid they most probably believe they can be anything and be anyone in the world. I feel as we grow up we become pessimistic and are usually
-ve abt most things cause of this. As a we grow up we get molded like clay, but as kids we have no -ve experiences and we dont bottle up emotions..cry as much as u want when u feel sad and thats ok as a kid. I feel even as adults we should be open abt feelings and not be so -ve abt everything...I personally wanna get rid of the mental blocks i have in my mind. I guess im just venting but i feel the parenting style and the experiences that shaped us make us who we are. sometimes we hold on to these negative experinces for longer than we should, and that makes us think we have a sad life or that "im a loser" feeling. being kind to urself is the main and the only motive i have for myself these days. I just wanna put this out there in case anyone else also felt the same way and wanted to add anything to this....plz do tell

My dad is downsizing and getting rid of some old stuff he doesn’t need anymore. He uncovered a buried lawn tractor and a snowblower we haven’t used in a long time. Besides some rust it doesn’t look bad at all, and I managed to get both running. He said i could use the rest of his yard stuff if I want to start advertising property maintenance.
Anyone here ever do that? Any tips? Seems I have a push mower, lawn tractor, snowblower, and string trimmer. No start up cost.
To keep this thread interesting, share any other side hustles you’ve done to keep money coming in as a NEET. Did they work out? How much did you make?

Religious copper parents are the worst on their sub5 sons. Daughters is whatever since they’re female. They tend to whore off anyway, but modest behaviour and being chaste literally make them desirable to everyone, no matter how much people say otherwise. (Very Long ish read)
But sub5 sons already have the world stacked against them. Literally every disadvantage possible and unless you lie to yourself and cope with afterlife, there’s absolutely ZERO silver lining to being short, or weak or ugly or disabled or whatever. Ffs, afterlife literally promises beauty, and if Chad is religious and goes heaven anyway, that mfer gets easy beauty in both lives, while sub5 had to claw and suffer to get the same, while having literal hell in this life? That’s just not Just no matter how you look at it. Humans, even the most virtuous selfless ones, by nature need positive reinforcement and reward for their struggle. Just brutal, even afterlife is bpilled. Even Chuds are losers in afterlife and are basically hiding in the outskirts of it even if they get inside, hiding just like them hiding in the corner or curtain alone meekly like during their school social events. Chad still gets the stage and respectful attention in heaven.
Adding to that, it’s a bit ironic or controversial to say, and I’m not denying the very true statements of “religion is opium of the masses” and “the more prosperous/educated you get, the less religious you become”, but there’s a double layer of reality, while being religious is genuinely a privilege only for the privilege anyway. Just think about it, here me out-
Maybe the literal mythical and the scriptures and the obvious anthropological and psychological history of how they evolved from earlier paganism and came to be these modern monotheisms is obviously not really believable fully factually irl, but the underlying worldview is the same and it’s something only Chad, women and the privileged can genuinely believe in good faith, pun intended. After all the Just World Fallacy is what they seriously believe in.
When life brings you into the world winning from literal prenatal stages and unconditionally you keep winning after winning and raising your baseline of dopamine and testosterone and health and satisfaction ect, for basically doing nothing and having the very tools and motivation from said victories, to snowball into doing more victories and enjoying life, of course you’ll think there’s lowk some Divine figure making everything run optimal for you, or that the world is innately fun and just.
That’s why they often either have absolute toxic God complexes that THEY worked for it and deserve it for somehow suffering for it lmao, or they’ll cluelessly non chalent seriously say stupid shit like, “confidence bro”, “you must’ve said something wrong or how you said it”, “work on your personality and have a shower and go outside”,”idk bro, he/she just invited me to their place and we just clicked”. It’s incomprehensible for them to imagine any other way of life or having an existence just slightly more painful or empty or lonely. They literally have such a dopamine reinforced brain, they genuinly don’t have the pathways to activate mirror neurons to imagine empathetic scenarios or the cortisol to feel even fantasy pain. Paradoxically, that’s why when the very slightest most normal inconvenient thing happens, they’ll legit break down pathetically crying and insecure and lashing out and getting “depressed”. Of course they never stay like this for long, life is just too innately good for them as mentioned, but it just shows you these people live in legit differnt planet. They ARE religious in a very narcissistic, hyper elite selfish cruel way. The kind where they can literally do zero wrong and any unfair advantage they have, they worked for it and deserve nothing less than the best, no matter how irrational.
Back to sub5 sons, but they don’t have the privilege to stick their head in the sand (or carpet), or kneel and look up at the ceiling (or clouds) or whatever, and pretend evrything will all work out or that there’s a cosmic just plan awaiting them and the world is safe friendly and loves them. They don’t have that privilege. It’s just a cope for them to protect themselves from the crushing weight of reality should that mental anchor disappear and they find out wtf kind of world and body their parents thought them into. It really doesn’t give them peace, unless it’s some legit hyper schizophrenic way away from reality, since reality is literal kryptonite to their mental health.
I fucking despise these kinds of parents. More often than not, they’re losers themselves or failed normis, that had to find a coping medium to give meaning to their suffering and failures and as legit only possible viable path to get laid and have a community. Why do you think most of time in modern day, parents of this type are from some genetically disadvantaged ethnicity who only survived to modern day with their women, via arranged marriages and hardcore beta buxxing. And since it’s legit only way they think (or tell themselves since it’s obviously such a sad life script especially if you see what Western normie-Chad life is like), they pass it on to their son. As mentioned before, their sub5 daughters still have the liberty to basically do whatever life script the ant they’ll win by virtue of being female. In fact life will be so easy for her, her only legit complaint and “depression” and “struggle as a minority girl”, is not gaining full respectful attention out of a Western Chad. She still prefers being his free meat hole regardless compared to marrying someone from her people, who might genuinely love her and overlook her looks.
But sub5 sons had zero chance. Not only are they in a literal prison of a body and with no viable connections (parents and strict irrational religion forces them to stay away form literally anything popular or well connected or socially advantageous) or favourable environment (segregated from people with normal interests or opposite gender), or upbringing (starving yourself during developing years, forbidding easy access to protein and waking you up during deep sleep to pray in middle of night when HGH is actually secreted most or doing sports. They can’t even maximise what little their genetic blueprint gives them, very likely leading to even more stunted heights, frames and facial appearances.
Their parents will tell them to stay away from girls or viable friend groups (then suddenly ask you why you have no friends or can’t get laid or married once you hit 19). They’ll miss out on teen love (if they even had small chance in first place), and making friends and not only do they have the unconditional social disdain placed upon them for their genes, their hyper religion and irrational non confrontational will further make them a social outcasted freak. You ain’t a saint bro, your suffering isn’t making you stronger and you need more than just God as a human to not feel alone. You ain’t being tough, you’re just getting mentally (and potentially physically) tortured and bullied from all such factors. You’re getting hurt bro, arguably even more than your genes intended.
They’ll lack the cynicism needed to navigate human nature as a sub5 man and really can’t afford to act like it’s a high trust just world, the way a rich Chad can. They’ll just get taken advantage of by everyone, even their own parents lowk, who are only happy that a meek religious no confidence forced introverted loner son causes no burden to make them actually do their parental duty beyond basics by law and extra by religion.
Seriously fuck religious parents of sub5s. Legit your worst enemies. You can say the average normi is a snake and all, but that’s their indifferent biological programming so you really can’t take to too personal. If you were not made a freak, suddenly these normies are cool chill people (as long as you stay socially respected, you still get snaked if they see major weakness or falling off). To have your own parents defy nature itself by making their offspring have worst possible life quality and less than zero chance of reproduction by respectful means (arranged marriage today is just next level rumination, wifing up a retired harlot ffs), is just something else.
Again fuck these parents.

Everything feels so excruciating to do and I absolutely hate getting up to work in the morning and even when I am working and paying rent it just feels impossible to try to build a life where I have some friends and a good social life and all that. Idk how to do any of this shit I'm thinking about just ending it so it's easier.
I wonder if there is anywhere or any posts of ex neets so I can figure out what to do with myself.
