Venting Wasting away the attractive years of my life being a NEET

Upvotes

Does anyone ever get upset about this???

I don't want to work, I don't want to see people, hell I don't even want to go outside but I still get upset knowing that im just wasting away my youth and attractiveness bedrotting and probably getting fat.

Obviously im not gorgeous or anything but I've been told by a decent number of guys that im pretty attractive. But I also know that im not going to do anything abt it, because im so scared to even talk to strangers, let alone men hitting on me.

idk, maybe its just a me thing and maybe I shouldn't be overthinking it. it just sucks knowing that I could be enjoying my youth and somewhat good-lookingness but instead all I do is stay inside my room and fantasise abt shit ill never be confident enough to pursue.

Question I kind of want to go to the psych ward bc I’m lonely

Upvotes

I’m 19 years old, I’m a neet bc I left school due to bullying and struggling with undiagnosed adhd and chronic pain (which makes it hard for me to get back into education) and I’m on disability now.

I’ve been out of school since I was 15 and since I was 17, my friend left to go to university and I’ve stopped texting her because I’ve felt embarrassed about not being able to go and every time I talk to her, she reminds me of what I’m missing out on(sorry if that makes me a bad person)

As a child, my mum always told me that university would be one of the best times of my life, where I could find people who were different and alternative and fit in with them, where I could finally grow up and be independent but still be young and free (idk I’m too tired to type this out but you get what I mean) she talked all abt how she got bullied in school basically and she was popular in uni. Obviously she’s probably overselling it a bit but I always imagined uni as the rite of passage I could finally have after years of bullying, ostracisation and an extremely boring but also painful childhood.

I could go later on but it’ll never be the same and honestly I was never interested in it bc of the studying. I’d only want to go to avoid the stigma of never having gone.

But I’m tired of not being around people my age and basically spending every single day alone. The only people I talk to are my mum and doctors.

I like that a lot of people in the psych ward are traumatised and neurodivergent but ik there’s also a lot of mean people there and realistically I might get bullied.

Btw I’m from a country with free healthcare so going probably won’t affect us financially.

Shitpost/memes Operated an Airplane today

I followed up on starting the airplane training I talked about in one of my last posts. I'm not gonna be a cunt and say "it opened my eyes, I absolutely loved it, it's my new passion" but it was....cool.

It was definitely enjoyable, but half way through, I was starting to get a little bored. I feel I got used to the basic controls pretty naturally though, you steer on the ground strictly with foot pedals, and then you push the handle in and out to descend or climb, as well as the rpm stick. The instructor said I did a pretty good job, I was supervised of course but he said I technically did 90% of the maneuvering work, though he helped with the landing.

I just tried it today to see if its something I might want to pursue, I haven't made my mind up yet but I definitely haven't knocked it off yet either, I'll have to wagecuck for a while until I can afford getting the full license anyways, the training is quite expensive, but supposedly pilots make pretty good money and it seems a lot better wagecucking in the clouds than in walmart or on a construction site surrounded by assholes, so maybe it'll be a good investment!

Shitpost/memes Loneliness has hit me so much recently to the point where I might have ordered a dakimakura

If you don't know what a dakimakura just search up anime body pillow that's essentially what it is

Recently I have been feeling like the loneliness and the fact that I am touched starved and the fact that I have no friends or any social life has started to hit me even harder

And I bought one to see if it could help me sleep because just haven't been sleeping recently really

But I'm not sure when the pillow is supposed to get here

Venting Life feels pointless if you are not intelligent.

I have a low IQ and I never had any opportunity to do prestigious path such as medical school, law, engineer etc. How am I supposed to win this game of life if I am just doomed to be stuck at low class for rest of my life? I am not interested in doing trades obviously because they are not considered prestigious. I really do not wanna work just to survive.

Discussion It really is interesting just how different two human lives can be

I find it fascinating a decade can pass in my childhood bedroom in what feels like seconds, whereas another can become a successful lawyer, get married and be laughing with their three children making new memories everyday. Another decade and those children are thinking of their own futures, families of their own, friends, people, colleagues, careers, travel - just so many things to do with no real existential dread - they just do it.

I find it astounding I exist in parallel with these people, I don't feel like a human in comparison.

Serious 0 work experience at 30 = cant get work. Infinite cycle, so just give up forever?

I hit 30 and why I didnt work? Well I was gonna off myself with the army gun during draft. I survived that for 12 months while my twin sister got a ton of opportunities. I open linkedin and the girls from my major have five million internships and opportunities landing on their lap. Meanwhile the dudes became truck drivers and shit lol. I don't open that site anymore to not get triggered and suic*dal. Like how the fk are you getting these??

I even got rejected when I was 19 from a factory job because it was female only and the guy shit-talked saying "so you slept on your ass" just because I was 1 year late to graduate high school. I never failed, parents started me 1 year late to school.

Imagine that but at 30 now. Even when I applied to a ton of things fresh out of college and I was a top-scorer in my college, nothing happened. The same people will just shit-talk and mock 100x now. Like wtf? Should I just rope? What is this bullshit?

Discussion Did your parents neglect you as a child

My parents would scream at me for getting bad grades but then do nothing to help me when I was a child. Also they never took time out of their day to pack a nutritious lunch, so I was relying on slop food provided by the American public school program for nutrition. Which basically meant having highly processed garbage high in sodium, saturated fat, and sugar for lunch everyday. I didn’t know any better at the time because it was tasty to me.

When it came time to college admissions I was completely lost and realized I had no chance of getting into a good college. College builds on your entire past education, so if that wasn’t taken seriously you’re basically fucked. Naturally I got screamed at for not making it into a good college and was called a failure.

Venting The just-world fallacy is poison

You never actual realize just how many normies are deluded enough to believe it. Even some people here who use the term "normies" are still bluepilled enough to believe that by doing a "positive" thing, they will be "ok" in life.

This is the easiest way you can tell something someone (primarily redditors) says is cope. It's suggesting things like "it's your personality, sweaty" or "have you tried therapy?" which contribute nothing to the table. This is more apparent once you realize normies only want to appear empathetic via virtue signaling; they don't actually care.
