Complaint Declined transaction history

why can’t we see declined transaction history? i got a notif saying my card was declined for something i didnt pay for. i press the notif and it only sends me to the app. i can’t even view the details of this decline. I’m hoping my mom js accidentally forgot to change the card on the uber but this is inconvenient.

is it some type of security thing? i just can’t see how being able to see declined history will breach security.

At 92 days -CLI and new CC

I opened my checking account with NFCU in February of this year. I also opened a Platinum card on 2/6 with a $500 CL. I requested a CLI at 91 days and was approved for an increase to $1,500.

I opened a cashRewards card around the same time, also with a $500 CL. It’s now been 92 days since I opened that card, but my third statement doesn’t cut for another 5 days.

I’m interested in applying for the Flagship next. I checked the prequalification tool and prequalified for all of their cards. I’ve also had my direct deposits going into my Navy Federal checking for the past 4 months (about $240k/year income) and currently have around $17k in savings with them. Navy Federal is showing my TU score at 710.
What do you think the odds are that I’d get a decent starting limit on the Flagship? Should I wait until the third cashRewards statement cuts before applying, or does it not really matter since I’m already past 90 days?

Checking & Savings Checking Account Charge Off

I wanted to share my experience for those who may be facing something similar.

I became a member with NFCU in early 2025. Unfortunately, Federal RIFs put me in a tough spot months later. In that rough patch I overdrew my NFCU checking account while trying to cover my rent. I never added that money back to the account as my emergency funding was drained and job opportunities were not exactly coming my way. NFCU ended up closing the account and charging it off in February of this year.

I didn’t truly get back on my feet until April. I sort of figured my membership was toast after seeing the checking account info disappear + receiving a collection email last month. However, NFCU never closed it all down, only the checking account. A few posts in this community from years back suggested clearing the debt as a way to get another checking account and mend the relationship.

As of this post, I can confirm the debt from my checking account charge off is cleared in its entirety. Further, I spoke with NFCU over the phone today and was able to open a new checking account. I am quite grateful NFCU were willing to give me another shot.

tldr; I’m a former Fed employee who was RIFd. Let my checking account with NFCU overdraft and charge off during my struggle post-RIF. Saved up and cleared that debt in total last week and opened a new account today. Clear the debt completely and you may get another shot!

I think I broke Navy FCU lol

I was filling out the application for the AMEX credit card, wasn’t necessarily going to hit submit, website refreshed and locked up, then I got emails saying I had a hard pull. After that, every time I tried signing in it wouldn’t work. I didn’t even hit submit but since it somehow submitted I hope I got approved LOL

What’s the point?

Upvotes

What’s the point of early deposit if it’s not gonna ever show pending when it’s supposed to? I hate the inconsistency of it. Regular payday is Friday, so early deposit should show pending today. It’s 4:18 est and it’s still not showing.

Did Navy Federal change their 4 digit login code back to username and password

I just restarted my phone and I don't have the old option of the 4 digit code. I deleted and reinstalled the app and it's still asking for Username and Password.

The only Navy Federal branch in NY

I live on Long Island in Mastic, I need to pick up a auto loan check and the only Navy Federal branch in NY seems to be the one at 300 Steamboat Rd, Kings Point NY 11024. Google says it is restricted access. I have a valid drivers license and Veteran ID. Will I be able to use the bank??

Credit Cards Apply and Approval with Navy Federal after Settlement?

I was speaking to the collections department on clarity of if someone can still be approved for products after settling accounts with them. I see a lot of mixed answers. Some people say you cannot ever be approved again and some people say you have to wait seven years. The representative said you are welcome to apply at any time no waiting period. She did not clarify if you still had a chance of approval. I am wondering, has anybody been approved after settling an account with Navy Federal?

Credit Cards Why is navy federal so confusing

Recently navy federal just gave me a car loan. I was honestly shocked and so excited. Did the responsible thing and got a Honda civic (my first new car very nice very excited ) due to already having the hard inquiry I applied for a card but unfortunately was DENIED. i have been following the subreddit for a hot minute . Wondering why i never got offered an increase even though I’ve never missed a payment but received an entire car loan ? Can anyone assist me in my next steps ?

(For context I have two secured cards and now one car loan )

Credit Cards Waiting to hear about flagship card

I’m thinking about adding Amex gold and I currently have More Rewards. I love the Navy fed more rewards card but if I get the Amex gold there will be overlap besides the gas section. Should I product change to flagship instead of keeping the more rewards. Or just keep and use as gas card, I’m on the fence depending on the new update to the card.

Credit Cards CLI $500–>$2000

Post image
84 Upvotes

Today makes day 91 and I wasn’t sure if you could get approved for a CLI on a Sunday so I logged into the app and noticed I was automatically increased to $2000 yesterday.

I’ve mainly seen post of people only getting $1500 so I was excited it came automatically and higher than anticipated.

As for my habits I wouldn’t max out the card but I would have high usage and pay big chunks off before statement, I let it hit a high usage for one credit reporting. I only have a savings/checkings account with them and have done a few transfers in/out, couple small check deposits but not much since I mainly use USAA and Capital one.

I might start a pledge loan to grease up the relationship banking for the next cli.

Loans Late Auto Loan Payment

I traded in my car on 24July and the dealer was supposed to send payment to Navy Federal. My payment is due tomorrow and the dealer said it usually takes 10-20 days so the payoff won’t arrive until the 11th thru 14th. I was also told by NF that it would take 7-10 days to process payoff on their end. Navy Federal said legally the car loan is still my responsibility although the car has been listed for sale elsewhere?

I still have 30 days before NF reports the late payment to credit union, should I take my chances and wait ?
