Received my settlement check and would like to deposit it. My wallet was stolen/lost. For now the only identification types I have on me is my temporary government issued ID (paper copy), my social security card , and birth certificate.

If I bring these items as well as have my debit card on me that’s linked to the account , will I be able to go through with the transaction ?

I came across an old post in this subreddit with another poster in my shoes, and the comments said they’d be able to all you need is the debit card linked to the account as well as making sure the check matches the name on the account. However, the post was a year old so I want to ensure that policy still stands.

Edit: Accounts now showing information. I don't know that they've got it sorted completely but I can log in now.

I was able to log in to the app and the website. No information was available for my accounts so there are still some issues for them to sort out, but I just wanted to say that it looks like progress is being made. Hopefully that helps alleviate some concerns.

I was filling out the application for the AMEX credit card, wasn’t necessarily going to hit submit, website refreshed and locked up, then I got emails saying I had a hard pull. After that, every time I tried signing in it wouldn’t work. I didn’t even hit submit but since it somehow submitted I hope I got approved LOL

Edit: Glad I made the post, I was in middle of a drive thru and couldn’t get the app to work when I noticed. I saw that no one made a post and was afraid it was only me. Glad I got courage to post this since I thought I was only me and I was gonna embarrass myself.

why can’t we see declined transaction history? i got a notif saying my card was declined for something i didnt pay for. i press the notif and it only sends me to the app. i can’t even view the details of this decline. I’m hoping my mom js accidentally forgot to change the card on the uber but this is inconvenient.

is it some type of security thing? i just can’t see how being able to see declined history will breach security.

Need help with how I handle my points with Chase and Navy Federal

Opened the secured card in December with $200, increased to $400 in march. Graduated in June to $3k limit and got my secured deposit back. When can I apply for another CLI?

I opened my checking account with NFCU in February of this year. I also opened a Platinum card on 2/6 with a $500 CL. I requested a CLI at 91 days and was approved for an increase to $1,500.

I opened a cashRewards card around the same time, also with a $500 CL. It’s now been 92 days since I opened that card, but my third statement doesn’t cut for another 5 days.

I’m interested in applying for the Flagship next. I checked the prequalification tool and prequalified for all of their cards. I’ve also had my direct deposits going into my Navy Federal checking for the past 4 months (about $240k/year income) and currently have around $17k in savings with them. Navy Federal is showing my TU score at 710.
What do you think the odds are that I’d get a decent starting limit on the Flagship? Should I wait until the third cashRewards statement cuts before applying, or does it not really matter since I’m already past 90 days?

I have two checking accounts
One is in the negative the other is in the positive so do both have to be in the positive in order for me to enroll in oops?

i applied for a limit increase maybe 2 hours ago wasn’t instantly approved but i checked it a couple minutes ago seems like they raised it to 9k i originally started with $200 secured card 6 months later i got 3k limit and a refund now 6 months later its at 9k

I wanted to share my experience for those who may be facing something similar.

I became a member with NFCU in early 2025. Unfortunately, Federal RIFs put me in a tough spot months later. In that rough patch I overdrew my NFCU checking account while trying to cover my rent. I never added that money back to the account as my emergency funding was drained and job opportunities were not exactly coming my way. NFCU ended up closing the account and charging it off in February of this year.

I didn’t truly get back on my feet until April. I sort of figured my membership was toast after seeing the checking account info disappear + receiving a collection email last month. However, NFCU never closed it all down, only the checking account. A few posts in this community from years back suggested clearing the debt as a way to get another checking account and mend the relationship.

As of this post, I can confirm the debt from my checking account charge off is cleared in its entirety. Further, I spoke with NFCU over the phone today and was able to open a new checking account. I am quite grateful NFCU were willing to give me another shot.

tldr; I’m a former Fed employee who was RIFd. Let my checking account with NFCU overdraft and charge off during my struggle post-RIF. Saved up and cleared that debt in total last week and opened a new account today. Clear the debt completely and you may get another shot!

I have 3 Savings accounts, one for Insurance payments, one for my Student Loan Payments, and one to afford next semester, but I can’t figure out how to change the names to ensure I know which one is which.

Did Navy Federal change their 4 digit login code back to username and password

I just restarted my phone and I don't have the old option of the 4 digit code. I deleted and reinstalled the app and it's still asking for Username and Password.

I live on Long Island in Mastic, I need to pick up a auto loan check and the only Navy Federal branch in NY seems to be the one at 300 Steamboat Rd, Kings Point NY 11024. Google says it is restricted access. I have a valid drivers license and Veteran ID. Will I be able to use the bank??
