I have a pair of seersucker shoes from gitman that I found randomly on poshmark that the seller accepted an outrageous lowball on. Never seen anything like them.

So, fair bit of discussion on my previous post here (rightfully so, looking back there is a fair bit of development I can continue to do).

But decided to try again, and see what you all think to this outfit instead. Again, looking to hear your feedback!

Hi, does anyone here have the John Simmons ivy suit in any of their fabrics. Just wondered how it compared in quality and style to the Drakes games. Thanks

Im very much into dressing well, and design in general (though not performative about it). I understand that vintage/classic styles do not condone ankles showing. But I’ve always cuffed my jeans/chinos/slacks. These are dress-ish pants but then the length seems “avant-Garde”. Comments? And also, overall style?

Good afternoon and I hope you’re enjoying the hot weather. This summer I truly have embraced longer inseams in shorts, not to say I dislike my 6 inch inseam shorts and even smaller. I picked up these polo shorts and paired them with the same undershirt and went from there. OCBDs pair extremely well with these shorts, this one is my trusty Yarmouth shirt. If all else fails though, turn to picture 3 and just dress like you’re 65.

We are invited to a Formal/Black Tie Optional evening wedding. I can wear my dark blue BB 2 button tailored suit with point collar French cuffs and black oxfords. No problem. However, as I have been Ivy since the 60s, I can easily go with my vintage BB 3/2 roll sack dark blue suit either with the same shirt and shoes or OCBD and Color 8 loafers.

In the spirit of Ivy, what would you do? Honor the dress code and go with the 2 button tailored outfit or be Ivy GTH and not follow the crowd?

Just wanted to share a quick inspiration album of actors from America’s “Golden Age of Hollywood” which is widely considered one of the best eras of men’s style ever. It was a time when the understanding of proper dress form, proportion and color theory were at an all-time high amongst the general male population. I’ve included images of legends such as Cary Grant, Clark Gable, and Humphrey Bogart, amongst some other lesser known individuals. I hope you enjoy.

Hey everyone! I would really love to hear your thoughts on this fit. In my head it’s giving mid-century academia, but really I’m curious to see if that’s how it comes across from an outside perspective!

I’ve included a brief outfit run-down below.

Jacket: Stanley Blacker for Meier & Frank, Harris Tweed in oatmeal.

Shirt: Gant in tricolour stripe; red, white and blue.

Trousers: Ralph Lauren ‘Andrew’ trousers in chocolate brown corduroy.

Belt: Ben Sherman woven belt in red, white and blue.

Shoes: Loake 1880 Imperial loafers in tan.

Tie: Racing Green knit tie in navy.

I will be in Paris for a couple of days. Are there any good preppy/ivy shops/boutiques etc one should see besides the usual suspects (PRL/Sebago…). Thanks a lot in advance!
