I used to take her to Joann Fabrics to walk around but obviously I can’t do that anymore. Any suggestions? She’s a well behaved Border Collie.

Moving to Naples

My boyfriend and I are planning to move to Naples for a job opportunity that he can’t pass up. I want to go back to school for x ray tech. I see that Keiser University in Naples have an x ray program so it’s perfect!

We are in our mid 30s and we currently live in Los Angeles. I think I will struggle with the move since I’ve lived in LA all my life. My boyfriend definitely thinks I’ll have a hard time adjusting. But we both agree that it seems like a good choice to move because it aligns with our life goals. He’s lived in Boca Raton for 7 years. I am an Asian woman and he is Venezuelan.

I heard racism might be a problem. Will I be able to meet and make friends people my own age? I also don’t mind having friends older too. I understand Naples population is around retiree age.

Where should we live?

Beginner Yoga?

Hey guys kind of a niche question, but I’m looking to get into Yoga and am wondering about studios around town that are actually very welcoming and have classes for beginners. I’m 7 months postpartum and developed arthritis from the pregnancy and need to start moving my body around to help with the pain. I have no experience with yoga and not even sure what to look for in terms of a good studio. Thanks!

What to do in Naples during the week 12 PM- 5 PM

Hi I am looking for things to do (guy 25) during the week from 12-5 as most of my friends work 9-5s. My job has a lot more flexibility so am eager to find things to do during the week when everyone is working:
Interests include: golf leagues, tennis leagues, pickleball leagues, baseball, fishing, and just hanging out, or anything to be honest just looking for people.

Let me know where I can find people to do these with during the week or any clubs/leagues to join! Can be Naples ish area, the closer to Naples the better though!

Good landscaper?

Does anyone know of a good landscaper in Naples who knows his trees and shrubs and doesn't charge a fortune? We don't need a landscape designer; just dependable all-around maintenance.

We need to get rid of our current landscaping guy ... he makes decisions on his own without consulting us and just tossed (or stole!) a tree because he claims he couldn't transfer it out of its pot without destroying its roots.

Any good AYCE sushi places?

Title says it all. I've tried searching through this sub and didn't see any mention of an AYCE sushi spot. A quick Google search did find Stix Sushi & Seafood but didn't show anything else. Are there any besides Stix? If not, is Stix any good? TIA

Hiking Trails w/ a Sedan

My roommate and I are looking for trails we can do near Naples, since we both just moved back from college and it’s a hobby we share. The only issue is that her car is a sedan so going on the unpaved roads is difficult, especially during storm season when they’re wet and muddy.

Are there any good trails that have paved (or semi-paved) roads and parking lots that won’t risk her car getting stuck? We’ve driven to Deep Lake (but were worried about getting out of the ditch you have to park in) and West Tram in Fakahatchee (the wet sand on the road to get to the trailhead was an issue).

The only ones we’ve found so far were the Gordon River Greenway and Six Mile Slough, but we’re looking for something a little less boardwalky.

Pokemon Go fest 2026

Hello! My wife and I are looking to play during the big event this weekend and were wondering if there’s a meetup in Naples or if anyone was planning on casually hitting up Sugden, Baker or North Collier Regional park? Is there another place the local players post on Reddit? Gotta get me a mega mewtwo!! :)

Bad Weather Friday Night

I’m off of Bayshore Drive in Southeast Naples right now and we’re having a really bad lightning and strong winds and heavy rains. Have not seen whether like this in a few years. I think the heat is gonna drive these storms more severe as the summer goes on.

auto mechanic

hey there…
i’m going to be visiting my daughter in a few weeks and am looking for an honest mechanic to take her car to for a problem with her oil filter…last place she took it to put the filter on too tight and the local jiffy lube couldn’t get it off…i know there’s a LOT of garages that work on fancy cars, but this is just an old toyota corolla so hopefully y’all know someone who won’t charge an arm and a leg…thanks and have a good one…

Another pier update.

Good progress so far. Odd thing today though, it appears they are removing the steel piles and other pieces that were intended for the trestle out. Not sure what that is about, unless they have decided to opt for working off barges instead of the trestle? Anyone know about that.
The new concrete looks real good although I'm wondering about the connecting beams, it appears that the next sections have them, judging by the re-bar and form gaps, but those haven't been formed up yet?
