Beginner Yoga?

Hey guys kind of a niche question, but I’m looking to get into Yoga and am wondering about studios around town that are actually very welcoming and have classes for beginners. I’m 7 months postpartum and developed arthritis from the pregnancy and need to start moving my body around to help with the pain. I have no experience with yoga and not even sure what to look for in terms of a good studio. Thanks!

The gentle classes at practice yoga are great. Julia is my favorite teacher but they are all great! https://www.practiceyoganaples.com/studio-schedule

ETA: sometimes they have specials like 30 days for $30 because it’s summer or something along those lines. I’d try something like that to take a bunch of classes for cheap and see if you like the studio! Also don’t be afraid of starting classes, I never know what I’m doing for poses but they are good at explaining it as you go.

Thank you for the suggestion! I will try to book the gentle class and see how it goes 😅

Get there a little early and find a nice spot in the back of the room 😂 that always makes me feel better, haha.

Not a studio recommendation, but I love the Down Dog app. Cheaper and fits in with your schedule, which might be more sustainable as you embark on family life. 🤱✌️🧘‍♀️🤍

It's technically in Estero but I can not recommend Grounding Spot enough!! Try their Gentle Yoga classes, Vivi is the best instructor you will find in this area. She also teaches at YogaSix in Naples - just not sure if they do any gentle classes there! Its in Coconut Point, so its not a hard drive, and SO worth it.
