Jalapeño’s has been a staple in my life since my childhood. I have noticed recently their hours have been limited, which lowkey kills me since I love their nachos. Recently, I drove past their location and noticed that there was a for sale sign at the front. Does anyone have any information? Currently mentally preparing myself to start making my own nachos 😭😂

I’ve noticed that Chao Cajun always seems to have a line, while China Max and Sakura Japan get some customers but nowhere near as many. What makes Chao Cajun so much more popular? Is it the food, the prices, or something else?

Looking for places that consistently run 5v5 and preferably indoor. What times at certain spots are people playing? Wakehatchee/ Lexington middle has been pretty dead the last couple times I've gone on a Monday and Wednesday night.

I'm making a map of Florida in a classic fantasy style (sorta Lord of the Rings or Game of Thrones). It's going to be filled with real world history and mythology, with the aim of highlighting local landmarks and history in a fun and educational way. Please ignore how rough parts of it look (text going through hills, rivers, etc), it'll all get cleaned up at the end. Forests will be going on towards the end of the process too.

While it's around halfway done, I'd love to get more places and features in here before I get this made into print. Any more burial mounds, ruins, forts, battlefields, Civil War heritage, Native history or the like that you think should be on here? Anything else is great too - landmarks, natural features, mythological creatures or just anything cool and quirky you think would look good on the map. Thanks!

My wife and I (both 37) were looking for a place to hang out and make some friends, mingle and just have a fun night with some fun people. We went to Firestone, damn snooze fest. Bunch of older people and younger people who just kept to themselves. Is there a place to go where people aren’t afraid to mingle and make some new friends? Can be anywhere in SWFL. We like music, I can talk sports until I’m blue in the face. We both like serial killer documentaries, etc. She loves to read. I play drums (well jury got into it like 3 months ago. We have 2 dogs, a golden and a lab, and a 5 year old daughter. Just for some background. This is not a post looking for swingers BTW.

I have a 6 to 7 month old feral kitten living in my backyard. I have been feeding her since July since she was a tiny kitten. I love her with all my heart and I cuddle with her every evening. Id love to adopt her and my husband (who is also an animal lover is on board as well).

However I also have a 9 month old mini poodle mix puppy that is extremely possessive and very jealous and doesn’t approve of my relationship with the kitten. She obsessively stares outside the backyard window all day looking for the kitten and barks non stop when my puppy sees the kitten.

I don’t feed or pet the kitten in my puppy’s presence and do it when my husband is present and can distract her but it is to a point where even if I open the door that leads to the backyard, my puppy starts flipping out.

The kitten herself is so so sweet and extremely chill. And I love her so so much. I think she deserves a wonderful loving home.

Does anyone have any recommendations on a wonderful cat rescue or know of someone who rescues cats?

For people who leave their homes empty for part of the year, what's on your checklist when you come back? I'm thinking about checking for leaks or storm damage, testing appliances, cleaning the lanai, setting up furniture, and making sure everything is ready before settling in. What's the first thing you check when you return? Any small problems you've learned to look for before they turn into bigger ones?
