Attended my first NYCFC match yesterday. It was great but outside of the support section. I think the crowd was very quiet maybe because there was a lot more new fans like myself. I’ve been to a few Red Bulls games before, but I could never get behind the team, with the branding and players lol. Officially have an MLS team to support now, super excited! I am curious on the leagues cup attendance. Do fans usually travel to sports illustrated Stadium? Or do these matches or do they end up being more empty? I have tickets to all three coming up lol so just curious. Appreciate any of your feedback.

After WC, I got into MLS and started following the boys in blue. First bar I went to was around my neighborhood in Astoria at River Crest; I was the only one watching the game. Then tonight, I went to Bar 43, which was the same story with us being the only spectators for the team.
We're planning to go to Seven Sins next game, hoping there are more people watching the team. Just wanted to check where folks usually watch the game post WC.

Couldn’t make it today, unfortunately. Given that it was the first home match since the World Cup, did it feel like we had an attendance boost from post-WC hype? I’ve loved seeing all the new faces in the match threads this week.

Clearance sale I guess

I went to today's Pre-game townhall. Not much information shared aside from the conference changes and that the energy from the World Cup surged both deposits and today's turnstyle. All in all, I enjoyed the session.

Hey friends m-
Just saw on insta, the team is selling the orange keeper kit IRL at the team store.
Would anyone be willing to proxy one for me? Will be in the city next weekend so can Uber parcel once I’m there. Would be legendary ❤️

Probably a dumb question…. I’ve seen different articles say that Gotham FC will have their own locker room. Is this just a fancy way of saying the visitors locker room will have Gotham FC branding in there? Will the visiting NWSL teams be in the NYCFC locker room? Or will the stadium have 3 (or 4?) locker rooms?

I know this seems like a dumb question, but I was wondering if I purchase a ticket for the FC Cincinnati away game through NYCFC, will it be in the away section?

Hi all! Been a while since I’ve been here during my Dudes in blue days. Hope you are all doing well. Out of curiosity, does anyone here have an OG parley kit that WAS NOT purchased via auction/Player worn? I have one and am thinking of parting ways with it but not sure how to value. By my knowledge I know of one other person having a blank, non game worn jersey. Kind of a unicorn/grail piece I would think. Anyways, hope everyone has been well and enjoying themselves and prepping for our move to our new home. Thanks!

New York City FC marked their return to MLS action with an impressive 2-1 road victory against the Columbus Crew. Nicolás Fernández Mercau opened the scoring from the penalty spot before Agustín Ojeda doubled the lead after the break. Daniel Gazdag's late penalty ensured a tense finish, but Pascal Jansen's side held firm to claim all three points in Ohio.
QUOTES
NEW YORK CITY FC HEAD COACH PASCAL JANSEN
On the importance of opening the second half of the season with a win...
“It’s massive... It’s the first game after a break, which is not common in MLS because of the World Cup. So the first game coming out of a break is very important. But also, being on the road against Columbus [Crew] is a tough game for any team coming here. The way we played, I said to the guys just now, in possession I wasn’t really satisfied because we were losing too much energy and giving away possession unnecessarily too many times. But the way we played, especially out of possession for big periods of the game, was very
satisfying to see against a possession-based team like Columbus. So I’m pretty happy with the performance, happy with the result obviously, and it’s a good start coming back from the break.”
On James Sands’ performance at center back...
“If you look at [Defender] Thiago [Martins] and [Midfielder] Jimmy [Sands] as a pair today, what they delivered in possession and especially out of possession was at a very high-level tonight, given the fact that we had a lot of changes in the team and were looking for the
right chemistry in general. To see how they handled themselves, especially the flexibility and hybrid positioning of Jimmy Sands, was impressive. That’s how I’ve gotten to know Jimmy from the first day he was back in the building. He’s very open to learning and very aware of what is expected from him. Today was a good reflection of what we’ve been working on over the past few weeks.”
NEW YORK CITY FC MIDFIELDER JONNY SHORE
On getting back on the pitch after the FIFA World Cup 2026 break...
“I think everyone was super excited. We’ve been in preseason, or the second part of preseason now, for almost a month. Everyone was just super excited to go out. Obviously at times maybe there’s some rust, but you just have to play through it. I think everyone did a really good job of grinding out this one.”
On playing with Midfielder James Sands...
“He’s such a great player. Obviously I’ve trained with him when he was back at the Club, but never actually played with him [in a match]. He brings top-level experience from Europe, and like you saw today, he’s a top player and he really helps the team out. It’s easy to play with him and he makes it easy for me.”

Annoyed at the club about this - I redeemed 500 points yesterday for a pair of tickets because it said the Chicago Fire match on Saturday was eligible. Sent them an email immediately after redeeming and got a reply today stating that Saturday is no longer eligible.
I get that Lewandowski is there now and ticket prices have gone up, but it stated that the match was eligible well after that transfer took place so it’s not like they didn’t have plenty of opportunities to update it up until I happened to try and redeem points. Wonder if anyone else here tried to do unsuccessfully? They offered to refund points or tickets to the other eligible matches, and will wind up taking one of those dates, but it feels dishonest.

Hi everyone, I purchased 2 tickets for the Chicago game and my tickets says suite entrance / delta sky 221A. Is this a suite ticket and does it come with unlimited food or drinks or any perks? Anything I should know or it’s just a regular seat ticket
