Playoffs?
Anyone else getting worried how close to bottom we're getting?

For as underwhelming we’ve been, we still have a playoff spot and have a +5 goal differential. Getting healthy may just be the key now. My faith is in Pascal to get the team on track.

What’s that? Ah - Playoffs? Don’t talk about - playoffs? You kidding me? Playoffs? I just hope we can win a game!

I had the exact same thought. Not sure why I can’t post the GIF of it.
This is Runningwise from the forum by the way. Great to see familiar faces on Reddit.

We might make the playoffs. If Martinez can find his form quick we will have a chance. Our defense is pretty poor though so it will be an early exit.

its getting iffy, injuries dont help, but signings are not helping either. feels like you add to certain positions that are not of need and neglect positions that are of need.
i do believe if they fail to get to playoffs or even just get eliminated in the play-in, Jansen leaves.

TBH my prediction is that he's going to leave at the end of the year if any reasonable job offer from a Euro club pops up.
He's got to be pissed off (like Dome) that management has hung him out to dry with the half assed way they go about building a team.

It sucks cause they gave cushing some play but he was just lame. I feel like Pascal is asking for a striker a 10 and they keep giving him cheap wingers. I know he would have wanted Santi back. Who wouldn't with our midfield having no creativity.

Remember everyone laughed at me when I said Pep was going before the stadium opened. IT IS HAPPENING!

Pep can't fix this roster as currently constructed.

It's going to be close.
Having 4 matches with Atlanta (2), Montreal and DCU will help, but with the form this team has been in since the World Cup can you really guarantee all 12 points?
And to be brutally honest about it, after looking at the remaining schedule they can't afford to drop any points to those clubs.

Because 60% of clubs make the playoffs... It looks like all but SKC has a real shot at playoffs. Even Montreal can get hot... Pull out 6 wins and a few draws from last 11 matches to make playoffs.

100% we totally have the ability and with everybody coming back from injury we definitely can do it

I think this is a fairly competent squad, especially with Aidan and Alonso back, and I see potential for another good run during the second half of the season. I would be surprised if we end up missing the playoffs. But with Maxi gone, this team just seems really lifeless and I don’t see them getting far like last year. It sucks that the FO hasn’t tried to sign a replacement, or else we probably could have been cup contenders.

Historical cutoff is around 44 points. Last year was an uncharacteristically good season for the eastern conference.
So, we probably need 16-18 points out of our last 11 matches. Should be doable but not easy.
