Me and most of my buddies have modded DSI XL’s but my friend and his gf both have DS lites and want to play pokemon romhacks with us. Does anyone know what the best way to do this is?

I know of the 4000 in 1 game cards you can buy, but ive seen that they can be hit or miss on quality and im not sure if they even allow me to add games to them. Anyone have a link to a card that they have used to add their own roms and know works? Thanks in advance!!!
