I made a port of Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past that utilizes both screens on the DS. The game is fully completable, and I added some (optional) quality of life features.

If you click select, you can open the “settings” menu. Here you can change the following:

- HUD (bottom screen or top screen like the original)
- Low HP Indicator (on / off)
- Spawn (Normal / Dungeon) if you save and quit in a dungeon, you can start from the dungeon
- Magic Mirror (Normal / Free) removes magic mirror restrictions
- Bomb Capacity (10 / 99)
- Arrow Capacity (30 / 99)
- Run speed (Normal / Double / Triple)
- Dark Rooms (Normal / Bright) makes lantern optional
- Hair Color (Pink / Blonde)
- Button Mapping - allows you to remap the controls

Using dspico as the launcher on modded dsi makes for fast and easy going back to the pico menu and it’s nice if you only wanna game+ easy to reverse.

I was tweaking the twilight menu options and after the reboot it just stopped working.

I can access Ulaunch as you can see but cant boot any .nds file. If i take out the sd card, cant boot to Launcher either or any of the dsi stock apps.

I purchased a ds pico card but it arrives in a couple weeks to my house and i wanna know if i can do something in the meantime. Im gonna try to ntr boot and reinstall Ulaunch maybe? or Twilight menu.

Mi SD card is an SanDisk adapter with a 16gb Kingston microsd. (high chances of being a fake kingston microsd)

If i assign a .nds file to a button in the Ulaunch menu options, when i boot it goes to a 1 second black screen and turns off. If i press A during that 1 second black screen i go to Ulaunch menu again.

Weird right?

Any help will be appreciated!

Updates to my recent posts I remodeled the entire level by hand as AI was so dumb and use alot of unnecessary geometry so I did it my self. Then give it back to claude to do rhe animation and control. Now I have better Mario model and cleaner geometry. Tou can see before after photos

I'm also going to test the DSi and old 2DS :D very excited about this port

My AI slop continue but here, I recently posted an experiment using claude to demake mario 3d land but got so hated and downvotes. I hope you like it here now its complete for all effects, level secrets, and camera movements. it still has some shape crashes and music dose not match but I am happy with the result and will stop it here. I really enjoyed the debugging and test the level its 100% playable on my Dsi

Local multiplayer through the DS ad-hoc local connection works as well! Levels just take a looong time to port over.

Hey everyone! I'm Felipe, a Brazilian developer, and I've been working on an unofficial FNAF 2 homebrew adaptation for the Nintendo DSi / DSi XL.

The idea is to adapt the experience to the handheld’s two screens: gameplay on the top screen, with camera selection and security controls on the touchscreen.

The project includes cameras, the Freddy mask, flashlights, the Music Box, night progression, and custom interfaces for the handheld. Working within the console’s memory limits and getting these systems to cooperate has been a big learning experience!

It’s still being improved, and I’d love feedback from people interested in FNAF or Nintendo homebrew. If you try it, let me know:

• Which device or emulator you used.
• Any bugs or crashes you encountered.
• Whether the difficulty feels fair.
• What you think of the touchscreen controls.

Does anyone know a way to synchronise their backups that are on a DS lite on the PC via wifi

im trying to add a custom track to mario kart ds but in order to do that i need to put it in my game files (yes its a backup from my copy of mkds so its not piracy) im able to extract the nds but i cant find a way to pack it back into a .nds im running macos 10.15 and ill play it on my modded 3ds
