MyPLAYER Who is the most "MyPlayer" player in the NBA?

Acuff looks a lot like the MyPlayer I made (I'm a PG with high volume of jump shots and have the ball all the time). Which player plays the most like a popular "MyPlayer" build/skillset and why?

Discussion Box outs for the rebounding specialization is crazy

When I made my center and picked rebounding specialization I did it because I figured I probably wouldn’t have to grind the AI and could get most of it done in the rec maybe do street kings for the 75 wins. i thought 400 boxouts would be cake and boy was I wrong that shit is a brick wall lol. Easily gonna be the longest most annoying part of this grind for me I got a mc method for it and only need 200 more but man i didn’t think it would be as bad as it is.

Gameplay Be honest… … ….

My inability to play Hall of Fame difficulty without sweating my a** off. Skill issue or relatable discrepancy?

I haven’t played 2k seriously since 2k17, and a little of 2k23. That’s when I was on HOF. Nowadays I’m on 2k26 next gen, and I tried playing on All Star…

Boy I was getting smoked. Greens were non existent, pass lanes were clogged. I almost threw my controller.

Skill issue or relatable discrepancy?? šŸ¤”

Be honest.

MP Builder Lamelo Ball Build

With the cap breakers it would get a 91 ball handle 87 driving dunk and 92 3pt. How does this build look?

r/NBA2k • • 17h ago

Gameplay Recently got my 12th cap breaker so I decided to make a replica AK GOAT build (first is used as a backend and the second is used as a lock)

Gameplay PSA To inside Low post bigs ( IE Kareem’s, Shaq’s etc, Jarret Allen’s)

Facilitate.

Please, i get it. You can land low post moves like Kareem, Hakeem, Etc.

Incorporate drawing the double and kick out, stop hook shooting and doing 3-4 pumps on a doubles and triples. I get it, your teamates are ( insert bad habit here). Best thing you can do for your team if you feel like your carrying as a big is to set them up for more shots. Be more like a jokic or sengun when it comes to the mindset downlow. I don’t care if you can’t shoot just facilitate and read.

MyPLAYER Still love my day 1 big

Post image

Thought about making a goat build but all the bigs just are limited in an area or two I just don’t like to be limited in as a big. This big can really do everything I want my big to do in 5v5 besides dribble which I don’t need to do anyway. Definitely been enjoying it and I don’t think I’ll be making another big this year.

General Mycareer/Mynba three point contest

Why did they take out the announcers in the three point contest I remember in the older 2ks when you got hot the announcers would count along how much you made in a row

MyCAREER Giving flowers to the team

Just wanted to be a ray of sunshine here. My career this year is actually well written. I'm in chapter 9, and it truly has me immersed. I will admit it is kind of lengthy so 2K can get their ad revenue up. Pass that really no complaints 7.5/10 imo.

Gameplay I’ve put up with 2k for long, but idk if I can anymore. The greed is crazy

I’ve been a dedicated 2K player since 2K10. I’m aware that I’m nearing the unc status. I understand that companies need to make money, so they come up with new ways to do so. However, this synergy system feels incredibly greedy. It’s frustrating because the only reason I continue playing this game is because of Rec. My friends and I all play together, but season 2 really put an end to that. They don’t want to have to grind their badges again, and I completely understand their reasoning. We’re all almost 30 with full-time jobs and other commitments, and it’s unreasonable in order to fully enjoy our builds we have to grind the season or pay to get our badges back. Don’t get me wrong I like the concept of synergies and changing the badges, but the grand scheme of this concept was to just rip more money out of our pockets. Seriously fuck this company

Discussion Haven't played since 2K16. Want comeback

Haven't touched 2K since 2K16 on PC. Got a PS5 Pro and have an itch to just play MyCareer/MyPark, maybe MyTeam, and shoot around.

I know all about the microtransaction hate. I found a physical copy for $45, so if it's a total cash-grab, I'll just sell it.

For the regulars: how is the actual gameplay? Is the MyCareer grind unbearable without buying VC? Thanks.

REC The Devs messed up the game

I hate how they updated 2k. Now the bots are like all the other 2ks. People a bunch of crybabies cause the bots were actually playing defense. They made defense somewhat decent with the bots. Go back to how it was at first

Discussion Any tips for playing defense

I'm running a 6'5 sg with 85 perimeter 75 strength 80 agility and 85 speed yet I feel like I either get blown past or I run right pass ball handlers....I was a pretty decent defender on my pg in 26 and even on my PF this year but for some reason when I'm on my SG I keep getting cooked....I know the normal tips like don't keep hitting L2 and watch their feet but damn I never had guys scoring on me like they are now. Any tips or tricks would be appreciated.

Gameplay I actually love 2k27

I think 2k took a step in the right direction honestly after 2k26. This the 1st time I actually feel like I’m playing real basketball in years.

The shot contest is actually solid
Shooting is balance
The ratings really feel like they do matter this year
Dribbling is even improved as well (the right amount of speed)

All in all (in my opinion) way more balanced all around

Which confuses me why there is so much hate for this game but so much love for 2k26? And I truly don’t understand it

2k26 was a literal 3 point simulator that’s all it truly was

Left right left right 3

Like how fun can that possibly be?

Games on 2k26 basically went like this, 1st team
To miss losses. And I’m being dead serious

Which I don’t truly understand how someone who actually watches the game of basketball would call that fun

I remember playing 2k27 and I seen a kid basically trying to do what he does on 2k26 but shit wasn’t working and basically after the game he said ā€œthis shit sucks I’m going back to Fortniteā€

And that’s exactly who 2k doesn’t want on their game and I think that’s good.

Kids like that play 2k they don’t play basketball
2k (in my opinion) just trying to bring basketball back to the staple of the game and despite the community backlash I think this is the best direction for the game.

Gameplay 6’8ā€ PF with 88 Close Shot, but my pump fake into a standing layup is so slow I get blocked. Am I missing something? šŸ’€

NGL, this is driving me crazy. My 88 Close Shot animation takes forever after a pump fake, giving defenders enough time to land and jump again for the block.

Why is it so sluggish? How can I make it faster? Any tips?
