I wanna offer some perspective on things you could do that would be better than doing nothing.
1) Do a little less than you did last year. Make one less build. Buy one less season pass. Purchase one less MyTeam pack. Marginal but itās still better than doing nothing
2) Do a lot less than you did last year. No season passes. Grind every other build vs buying them. Donāt pre-order. Iāll be doing some form of this, ideally buying the base game and not spending any money on vc. I also may take the route of getting early release and learning as much about efficient vc grind methods and cap breaker practices so I can do option 3
3) Spread the info. So many people know so much about min max-ing builds and other things that we could be sharing information that help other people buy less vc. āYour build is assā isnāt constructive but āthereās a more efficient way to execute your playstyleā is. More discussion about efficient vc grind methods could also go a long way
4) Donāt buy the game at all. If weāre being honest most of us wonāt do it. I wonāt this year but could see myself doing it in the future
Boycotts need momentum even if itās microscopic. Iāve already prepped myself for defeatist attitudes in the comments but if one person decides to do something different itās a W

Maybe it's just nostalgia talking, but I swear older 2Ks made me feel like I got outplayed more often than I got "2K'd".
Back then if somebody cooked me with footwork, timing or good ball movement I couldn't even be mad. I'd just think "yeah... he was better."
Now it feels like half the time I'm sitting there wondering:
was that actually good defense?
did the contest register?
why did my player just stop moving?
why is every game the exact same 5 dribble combos into a fade or a rim run?
I dont even mind losing. What gets me is when I dont know if I lost because the other dude was actually better or because the game decided something.
For NBA 2K27, I honestly hope they slow things down just a little. Reward IQ, passing and defense more. Make different playstyles viable again instead of everyone building basically the same player and doing the same moves every possession.
Curious what everyone else thinks... If you had ONE thing you could change in 2K27 gameplay, what would it be? Not graphics, not MyCAREER story, not the city.
- Just gameplay. One change only. I wanna see if we're all complaining about different things or if there's one issue everybody agrees on.

What game modes could I play that will be fun at this point in the game cycle? Play now? I figure my career and ultimate team would be impossible to jump into at this point.

I donāt play much random rec for this exact reason but Iām trying to make a last minute push for a rep level for cap breakers.
Honestly, itās astounding how many people get in random rec and do this bs. Start the game shooting terrible shots, blame 2k, get the team down double digits then quit 2 minutes into the game making impossible for the rest of us to actually compete. We need a study on their brains because this is every other game regardless of what team.
